Really lovely, Joannadyne. I'm hopeless at tying myself but it looks like serendipity is your forte! While I don't have any scarves that are explicitly celestial by design, I do have one that's somewhat related. Almost all celestial bodies are round, no? Here's Tohu Bohu, a study in circles.

Now, I do find myself in a bit of a quandary with the next few photos. Can anyone tell me how I tied these??? I know I started with an asymmetric tie, but ... that's about it. I love how they came out but for the life of me, I can't figure out what I did!!

DS1 once remarked suspiciously: How many scarves do you actually need?Don't tempt me Moma! Got The Talk again from DH about Spending, am now on best behaviour. Wouldn't hurt to go look at the H website though would it? Just to look...
I think that's the best way -- you just tie it nonchalantly, then you head out the door looking fabulous! While I don't have any scarves that are explicitly celestial by design, I do have one that's somewhat related. Almost all celestial bodies are round, no? Here's Tohu Bohu, a study in circles.

This is a blessing, xincinsin!DS1 once remarked suspiciously: How many scarves do you actually need?
Luckily, none of my menfolk have asked how much does each scarf cost or how many I've amassed. Attention is permanently diverted by a niece who flaunts designer bags and diamonds, and once shelled out US$300 for a fake bag in China because she couldn't find anything else to buy.
Yep, I've done these also and don't know how. The asymmetrical tie takes you mysterious places! While I don't have any scarves that are explicitly celestial by design, I do have one that's somewhat related. Almost all celestial bodies are round, no? Here's Tohu Bohu, a study in circles.

Haha, I wish scarf trying were really that simple! I usually spend 15 minutes fiddling with it before I'm satisfied.I think that's the best way -- you just tie it nonchalantly, then you head out the door looking fabulous!![]()
So true! [emoji23]Yep, I've done these also and don't know how. The asymmetrical tie takes you mysterious places!
He will be 21 next month. I think he made the remark 2 years ago when the orange tinge in the bedroom decor started to become rather obviousThank you, xincinsin! How old was DS1 when he asked you that? Lol, I realized recently that I might need to stop bringing mine to the store with me. He's old enough to realize that my habit can be an expensive one and inadvertently blab to the wrong ears...
The soft colored scarf with your golden olive sweater is just a stunning combo. Glad you posted that. It looks like you folded scarf in a triangle and then loosely tied it so that the silk fell in an artful arrangement. While I don't have any scarves that are explicitly celestial by design, I do have one that's somewhat related. Almost all celestial bodies are round, no? Here's Tohu Bohu, a study in circles.

These are very cool!A couple of pochettes with celestial themes.
I call this my Icarus scarf because it shows young men in flying machines. There are lots of words on it but I can't tell which is the title. I'm guessing it is Remiges de Fuite because "fuite" has associations with flight and escape and it's next to the designer's name (Jarlegant). There is a stylized sun in the corner.

L'Annee des Etoiles. I like to think of this as showing the Big Bang: suns, moons, stars and planets being created in roiling galaxies. If I squint, I can imagine Darth Vader zipping by in his tie fighter...

OMG! This is gorgeous. I have always loved this scarf but I didn't realize it was a CSGM and that CW is luscious.
My favorite all time turban photo!Gloria Soli - Joachim Metz. In springtime in northern part of Europe we all become sun worshipers. Picture from the archive, but nevertheless the same procedure every year!
