Scarfies,
I'm sure I have flooded this thread in the past week or so. Hope you aren't sick of seeing my photos yet...
The other day, I wore my Jardins de Nouvelle Angleterre, which I sought for nearly two years and finally nailed it this summer.

I hadn't worn it since purchase until that day. The evening I came back home and was about to put it back to the box, right then I saw something that I never paid attention to before: some mint green overlay details! The ink is somewhat like gum on top of silk surface. Fascinating!

I have seen matte white, matte grey, and silvery overlay, but never saw mint green! And I never noticed it on the scarf until then! It's that moment that I felt horrible about my scarf buying habit. I kept buying scarves like checking off wishlist, but once I had obtained the scarf, I didn't pay enough attention that the scarves deserve. I started to wonder if I'm buying to hoard or buying to admire and use? Am I a horrible scarf owner!
Anyway, moral of the story is: WEAR ALL SCARVES!!!!!! No more pickling!
:choochoo:
I am not familiar with this design. Great pairing with the grey jacket!
I know what you mean about waiting to wear a scarf. i finally wore my ZP for the first time yesterday-
I have had it since august! DH says no more scarves until I wear all the ones I have ! LOL!

Sparklelisab and Chestnutty, this current thread is gonna reach full capacity in about a wk at the rate we are goi ng. Do you have any special plans for the new thread?

Chestnutty - the Angleterre was well worth the wait. you look lovely.

Croisette - the first Chasse en Inde always takees my breath away. One of my favorite cws. I used to have that lavender GM too but I gave it up for adoption.

seton, you are right, the first one has a very special irregular and changeant border.

I have been a lurker rather than a poster recently but all your scarves are looking glorious. I have tried, and so far failed to achieve e, the knot *** but more practice should sort it :-)

I only have a couple of doubles, I had hoped for better light to take pictures but never mind... My first scarf, Feux D'Artifice in two colour ways, the yellow shows the jacquard to best effect but the metallic effect shows more in the red.

The other is cosmos in jacquard and mousseline pochette, which I sometimes wrap round a pony tail in my hair but it's nerve wracking - it's lighter than air AND behind you so I'm nervous the whole time in case it falls out and i don't notice. Not for the faint hearted!

momasaur - i feel honoured being the recipient of ur 1000th post and congrats on achieving that milestone :smile1:

Thank you, seton!
Oooooh, great collections! Is this the one of your most favorite designs? Sorry, it's a silly question. That's the question to which I can never answer.

I see what u mean. It wouldnt hit my Top 5, Baby but I do like Watrigant and I have worn 5 of the scarves at least once this yr, which is a good record. For me. So yes, definitely a favorite.

I continue to be surprised and delighted (and sometimes a little embarrassed) at the realizations I have about my scarf drawer thanks to this thread. To wit: had you asked me yesterday how many multiples I had, I'd have said I have a couple patterns in different formats. Well... peering through my scarf drawer it seems that in reality I have multiple Marwari, C'est la Fete, Rencontre Oceane, L'Instruction du Roy, Les Flots du Cheval, Splendeur des Maharajas, Axis Mundi, and Magic Kelly. :shame:

I snapped a pic of the mousse duplicates because I had them out for refolding anyway. Shown here: Flots, Axis Mundi, and SdM; and an original issue Rencontre Oceane GM mousse with its silk 90cm partner (I never wear the latter, so I'm hoping for better luck with the former-- the pattern is just gorgeous).

Now to page back through the zillion or so beautiful pages of this thread that I missed while traveling.... :sweatdrop:

calexandre - wow, two maharajs! do you have a pic of the warm cw anywhere here?
Both ur ROs are beautiful too.

Another "drooling" post! Wish I can get my hands on one Tohu Bohu soon!

New TPF member here. I asked this question on the Hermes in Action thread, and they suggested I might have more luck asking you folks:

I've recently gotten a bad jones for gavroches. Does anyone have the Festival des Amazones gavroche in the white-yellow-salmon colorway? This one:

http://usa.hermes.com/la-maison-des-...-amazones.html

http://media.hermes.com/media/catalo...891797S-12.jpg

If so, I'd love to see a picture of it in action! I'd love to know if the grey contrast hem really shows up as a contrast hem, if the border is ivory as opposed to the white in the center, and, well, I'd like to know how you like it.

I did a quick search of this thread, and I see Festival in the mousseline and in other colorways, but not the white one. Apologies if I missed it, though.

And if any of you has been considering buying it, maybe this is a good excuse to do so? Help a TPFer out by wearing it and posting some pictures? ; )

I can't get my picutes to upload?? I get an error message which states they need to be a certain dimension which i need to manually adjust, but I have no no clue how to do that?
