Thank you ElainePG! Anxiously waiting to see what you pick up when you go to SFO...any opportunity to live vicariously through other tPF members! :giggles:

I feel exactly the same way! I'll be posting my goody (goodies??? eek!!!) on the 2014 Scarves thread, but if I get something that matches the theme of the week, I promise I'll share it here!:smile1:

Scarfies,
I'm sure I have flooded this thread in the past week or so. Hope you aren't sick of seeing my photos yet...
The other day, I wore my Jardins de Nouvelle Angleterre, which I sought for nearly two years and finally nailed it this summer.

I hadn't worn it since purchase until that day. The evening I came back home and was about to put it back to the box, right then I saw something that I never paid attention to before: some mint green overlay details! The ink is somewhat like gum on top of silk surface. Fascinating!

I have seen matte white, matte grey, and silvery overlay, but never saw mint green! And I never noticed it on the scarf until then! It's that moment that I felt horrible about my scarf buying habit. I kept buying scarves like checking off wishlist, but once I had obtained the scarf, I didn't pay enough attention that the scarves deserve. I started to wonder if I'm buying to hoard or buying to admire and use? Am I a horrible scarf owner!
Anyway, moral of the story is: WEAR ALL SCARVES!!!!!! No more pickling!
:choochoo:

Back to our theme: A set of 90cm Pelages et Camouflages in:
Cashmere PM with a fringed hem. The first and probably only fringed hem cashmere I'll have. Just love the neutral color!

Its half-sister in silk twill, with an indigo contrast hem.

Good moral, Chestnutty, and this scarf is stunning. Its colors suit you so well and that overlay is special. I have white one that feels like gum on a CSGM and am repeatedly startled by how it feels to the touch.

Thank you Maedi!
I have that startling feeling with the overlay on my cashmeres as well!Sometimes I thought it was my drool from seeing Croisette's scarf collection! Ooops too much information...

Exactly, but I reeeeallllly wanted this one but I was banning myself. Then I never got to see it IRL so it was easier to ignor the desire for it... but everytime I see a pic... this is me :shucks:

Did u see it IRL???

Unfortunately I did see it IRL, I thought it was very elegant, but like you I was trying to be 'good'. I wanted to wait a few days until my b'day so DH could buy it for me, but when we went in and asked for it, it was sold! (And it was less than a week!) our store started a 3 day only hold policy. :cursing: which is too short for me. I think it is still available on the website, so you could get your SA to order one for you.

Thank you Florasun, it's the lobby of The Palacio Duhau in Buenos Aires, the paintings are Guillermo Roux' works.

Thank you for the info, Birkinmary! I googled the artist, he seems to have lead an interesting life! I like some of his paintings - he should do something for Hermes!
And it was super clever of you to have a custom iPhone case made to match your scarf! :ghi5: Do you have more than one?

Chestnutty, this scarf is stunning. It is not a CW I would have looked at twice, but the jacket you have paired it with makes the color sing. And the closeups show the beautiful detail. I'm glad you finally got it out and wore it! Just lovely. Now I want one, LOL!

I am a scarf hoarder too! I just hate getting them all wrinkly after I wear them. I have found that I am better with 'used' scarves - once they have been worn and wrinkled I have no problem. But while they are still crisp and unwrinkled in the box it is so hard to take their virginity!:D

Yay! Twins on the cashmere. Wish I had been smart enough and flush enough to buy the silk, too. Looks great on you!
