Thank you, calexandre! You and arabesques look super-gorgeous! Is it only for GM mousselines?
Thank you for sharing your mod pic and your beautiful multiples! I esp adore your Rencontre Oceane GM mousse!

Thanks, cherryblossum!

The knot works with PM mousselines too-- I tried that out as well! I personally prefer this knot with GMs (both twills and mousselines), but that's only because proportionally it works better on me. This particular knot tends to "consume" more of the fabric, which is very handy when you want to contain a scarf a little more. In my case it makes the 90s seem a touch to small on me, but on people who find the 90s a bit unwieldy, it's genius. :smile1:

ETA: As a bonus, I think it's a little easier to learn this beautiful knot with a GM, because it's a little easier to tie it off during the last step (I'm a slow learner with these things).

Florasun, holy cow!! These are both just totally gorgeous!:loveeyes::loveeyes:
Thank you Momasaurus! It was fun taking them out and photographing them. I have actually never worn the 90 APdP, and was surprised that it went so well with that cardigan. It helped that DH was out of town, since he would have plotzed if he saw the bedroom while I was photographing this. It looked like my closet exploded - he would have thought I was wackadoo, too.

These are breathtaking! :smile1:

Love them all. Beautiful colours.:smile1:
Thank you CanuckBagLover!

Today's contribution is another favorite x 3: Monsieur et Madame in two cws of regular twill, the brown one embroidered in Madison with initials and the t-shirt edition:

Thanks, Bunnycat Florasun, Melora,Cherry Blossom, scarf1, for your kind words.
Florasun, the colors you put together with your beautiful BdeG dip dye are stunning.
Calexandre, what a wonderful collection of moussies!!

A look from earlier this week. These bangles tied together the plume and the camel cardigan.

Salivating. This combination is sublime--caramel and lavender. Fabulous eye dear!

Birkinmary - your pictures just get better and better. You wear kachinas so well and your PdV as the backdrop for your B is drool worthy. I also never commented on that picture of you on the sand dunes but trust me, it is stuck in my mind forever. Your hubby is one lucky man. You are stunning.

Sparkle - what a collection of tigers! Wowza - isn't it the best when we are all alone and we get to play with our scarves. I secretly am looking forward to tomorrow afternoon because that will be when I get to do the same!

OK, so scary. The man with the big square creepy grin on your B&W is scaring me. I think this design might be so scary that I will have to take it off my list. I have never seen a closeup of it before. The other scarf I love because it's mosaic is Cave Felem but I cannot buy it because the mice in the corners freak me out. I hate rodents. My hair stands on end when i think about it.

MYH: when I first saw Metamorphosis online, I thought it was the ugliest scarf ever---"who would buy that?" Creepy. Ugly. Eh-hem...when I saw it irl, TWO came home with me and my other TPF Silkie friend. It is amazing to look at....but I also LOVE the cute little mouse on Cave Felem. :D

Carré vintage 10 bleu/gris perle/orange
Carré géant patch 02 marine/or

I have started collecting and wearing H scarves earnestly since 2010 fall season. Last year I purchased Circus, without knowing it had been first issued in 80's. The color combination looked very strange to me at first, but I began to like the colors and the design. I needed another Circus, so I decided to purchase the Carré géant patch. It was a gamble for me to buy the "Patch"at that time, but I often wear both silks.

Cherry, you wear Patch perfectly. I too have raised an eyebrow to this marriage of two silks, but DANG, you do it justice.

Taken as I left the house today , DD Brides de Gala
One of 4 I own in B de G pattern : a twilly , a 90cm silk form 1980s ,and washed silk DD GM 140cm in pale blue .

frou frou, dashing look my friend.

Dear scarf lovers,

I'm afraid I have absolutely no idea what the theme is . . . But I just pulled this together and wanted to share:

Mousseline Arabesques GM, tied in Le Knot Edo—one of the knots my SA showed Calexandre and me recently. I particularly love this drapey effect with a large sheer scarf.

Pucci-esc and silk. You rock it lady!

Love "multiple" week! I never thought I would go multiples 5 years ago. Now I have a lot... :sweatdrop:

Wearing my Marwari dip dye today, and previous pictures of Marwari cashmere. I have a 90cm as well in hot pink. Thanks for letting me share! :p

Oh Lawrdy, that Moutard Marwari could make me buy one but this must from the first release, yes? Divine Dear!!

Off-theme, but it is what I'm wearing tonight, as my DH and I take my mother out to dinner for her 90th birthday.

Inspired by our dear birkinmary's brilliant video tribute to Philippe Ledoux, my first Ledoux scarf: a new-to-me Napoléon, tied three ways, ending in MYH's brilliant cowl. A perfect way to wear a scarf to dinner (no ends to trail in the onion soup!;)

Gorgeous Elaine, love the cowl. Good for you---I can't seem to master this puffy look.

Seeing your malamute photo, I immediately thought of my Laboratoire du temps craziness!
a silk twill

Beautiful Ms. Chestnut! Love how you positioned the blue swirl in front. Would you ever wear the GM with the scarf? Too much? I want to start doubling up with a silk and GM!

CROISETTE7- Where are you?? We are waiting for your multiple silks! Let us enjoy them..;)

LOL. I know...spinkapallina, I thought the same thing but Croisette is a multiple every week---I'm telling your girls, we need to raid her closet/bedroom!

I continue to be surprised and delighted (and sometimes a little embarrassed) at the realizations I have about my scarf drawer thanks to this thread. To wit: had you asked me yesterday how many multiples I had, I'd have said I have a couple patterns in different formats. Well... peering through my scarf drawer it seems that in reality I have multiple Marwari, C'est la Fete, Rencontre Oceane, L'Instruction du Roy, Les Flots du Cheval, Splendeur des Maharajas, Axis Mundi, and Magic Kelly. :shame:

I snapped a pic of the mousse duplicates because I had them out for refolding anyway. Shown here: Flots, Axis Mundi, and SdM; and an original issue Rencontre Oceane GM mousse with its silk 90cm partner (I never wear the latter, so I'm hoping for better luck with the former-- the pattern is just gorgeous).

And the Emeraude/Burgundy Flots worn in the *** knot-- when I saw Arabesques' photo last night I couldn't wait to try it out in the morning. This is by far my favorite trick I've learned for the GM mousses-- it really suits the nature of the fabric well! :smile1:

Now to page back through the zillion or so beautiful pages of this thread that I missed while traveling.... :sweatdrop:

Calexandra: you are destroying me with the green--best color on you ever!

Scarfies- I am so far behind with this thread, it's embarrassing. I'll blame a crazy work travel schedule. But I wanted to take the time to thank all of you for posting fabulous eye candy! Special mention to BirkinMary's marvelous Ledoux video, Croisette's jaw-dropping collection of silks, GM and bracelets, and seton's encyclopedia-like knowledge of H!

I finally had some time to play with my silks, so here is a quick shot of my fall-colored scarves: Point d'Orgue, Coaching and L'Arbre de Vie. Although orange, the pumpkin is sadly not H...

And I've also been playing with the new knots that have so kindly been shared here and on other threads: MYH's cowl knot, and arabesques's chouchou. This is my actual SOTD, La Promenade de Platon, and I'm liking both knots with it. I need to figure out a way to make the cowl knot stay in place though!
sophieg, you look beautiful with your Platon and you knotted it so nice. Thank you also for your
pumpkin pic and your nice comments on my posts.

Oooh, cwap. I was able to multiquote for all of one post. Sigh.

momasaur - an elegant knot for an elegant scarf

Croisette - twins on the black Plumes. I didnt think I was ever gonna be ur twin on ur numerous Plumes . . . and I have 3 GMs.
Your TR pic is esp. wonderful since it looks like u are bowing as u are showing it off. :smile1:

Sparkle - BOTH of the pix u showed are quite beautiful.
Thank you, dear seton ... and I have some more Plumes GMs, which I will post later.

As someone with a pretty small collex in comparison to most of u, I was quite surprised at the number of multiples I have... :shame:

Here goes.... Marwari... 3 CSGMs and one 90...

(not sure what is wrong with the pic app but I'll post more later when it's not trippin out)
