This is not a Ledoux scarf, but I like the knot MYH showed on her "90 casual wear thread" :)

I also like the knot a lot and have been sporting it this week as well. I also like how you modified it with a scarf ring
I was at my H store's scarf event today and received many compliments for the knot thanks to MYH ;)

Melora - your modified cowboy is perfection! Kitty S - happy you are also joining in with this knot and received compliments! That's the best, no? When I tried on the Marwari dip dye at the wall st store, the SA was also mesmerized when I whipped up this knot around my neck. She said she had never seen it tied that way before. Imagine that, showing a Hermes scarf SA a new trick. :blushing:

I do not have a scarf to show, but I want to report that I have just purchased a Napoleon 90cm (authenticated, of course, by our wonderful marietouchet!:smile1:). My very first Ledoux, and jacquard as well. How could I resist?

I grabbed the picture from the seller's site, just to show you the CW. It's a bit on the "Christmas-y" side, but the price was simply too good to pass up. Hopefully, since I generally wear neutral colors, it won't be too loud. Does anyone else have this CW? Any hints on how I might wear it in months other than December?:giggles:

I forgot how much I like Napoleon the bees and the vignettes are gorgeous .
My most orange orange scarf.

Rushed for a lipstick for the cowboy shot!

Oh, these Napoleon scarves with the bees have also been calling my name. Especially since I have a bee and pearl necklace that's one of my favorites. Elaine PG - sounds like you have been on a little bit of a bender on evilbay? me too! I will reveal my new find tomorrow. I also agree that grey or navy would be a good match with the scarf. Frou frou - you are looking gorgeous in all your mod shots. I'm loving the shot with the cowboy knot. Taking a traditional scarf a casual route.

Pink Promenade de Longchamps little Miss Muffet style

My contribution for this week: Promenades de Paris, 70cm format. New to me this fall and my first 70cm carre :smile1:

Melora I always love a shot of this lovely scarf:graucho: it looks great with this knot.

Frou frou, I LOVE the bees!!!:D And, the pink CW on yourPromenade de longchamps

Bova, congrats on your new addition to Promenades de Paris! How do you like the 70cm format compared to the 90?

Elaine congratulations!!! I love the green in this Ledoux. And, a jacquard to boot:graucho:
You lucky lady, I can't wait to see it styled:D

Bova - great choice. I love all the buildings and people in this one. So much detail and in a 70 to boot. Congrats on your first in this format. I'm sure there will be many more. :graucho:

I think this is my only Ledoux, but it's a favorite in my drawer: a PM cashmere L'Hiver en Poste from back in the (IMO) good old days of the rolled hem. This one ties so beautifully. I think my favorite part is the tiny little white polka-dots of snow falling at the top border.
Wow Calexandre - this one is really special. I love these old 90s with the rolled hems. A beautiful cw too.

Croisette - I think you may have one of the largest and most diverse collections on the forum. First you blow me away with your collex of Ledoux and now you do a 180 with Minuit. I am so impressed by your diverse taste.

sorry, thought youve seen it before.

The Minuit is the perfect scarf for you, btw. You ARE Super H! :smile1:
I too wanted to see this scarf laid out. It is lovely even with your split second styling. I don't have even one Ledoux so I will have to sit out theme week. But I am amazed by the details on all his scarves.

Congrats, Elaine! :D I'm so excited for you, and to see how you tie this!

Off-topic: Brazil Dip Dye GM kept me cozy today :smile1:

Oohhh, I love this. I was curious as to how it would look on (the Brazil pattern). So beautiful.

Finally back home to play with my scarves.
I know I added a few ages by wearing a scarf this way, but gosh the scarf is too pretty to tie away in bias...

Isn't she so pretty?

And this one too! Beautiful! Thank you for the mod shots, this is especially helpful since they took them away from the website.

A beautiful unusual cw of Brazil. You really wear the earthly tones well. I may need to venture into my first dip dye GM soon! So far I have only made it to the PM stage.

In total agreement with you Chestnutty. She is so pretty and I am a sucker for grays and this one has a lot of it. Although the white border would frighten me to death especially since I love to eat pesto pasta. Slurp slurp oops then curse words! This one is truly elegant. Maybe one you wear to afternoon tea with the ladies and a string of pearls.

Even just 'throwing it on' you look elegant. If you can wear red and yellow then you might try CW 06 of MetM. (It is prune and gold but similar color family?)

I so love this CW and wish I could wear it;(. I can't wear red or orange in anything... I'm still debating which MeM CW to get for myself. Leaning towards this one.

Psst! This one! GG, because I cannot have 2 right now and because this was my other choice in colorway, you should get this one! :roflmfao: What? It's not all about me? ;) I think it would suit your coloring beautifully, and the darker greens will be lovely for fall.

Thank you, Greengodess, rainneday and MYH! It is interesting with this scarf. I really wasn't sure about the color when I bought it, thought it looked dowdy and stuffy and now it is one of my go-to scarves. So sometimes, a color grows on one.
Croisette, indeed, I have Cosmos in navy. I remember being so very keen on this design and bought it from H in Cologne in 1992.
Melora, this knot is looking great!
Calexandre, this design is one of my faves and especially great in cash/silk.
Froufrou, your beauty and gorgeous hair are perfectly accentuated by your H scarves.
Elaine, congrats on this N. It is so classic!
Seton, what a great scarf. I picture the rose Métamorphose on you against your milky complexion.

Thank you for for the sweet comments on my Napoleon and P de Longchamps , S'Mom,bunnycat,Melora, bova 123Elaine PG,greengoddess,, Chestnutty, Florasun, MYH and Maedi,

Elaine the tie in the first Napoleon shot you asked about , hmm I did just sling it on tie very roughly as if about to do a bow knot and instead of completing the bow I folded back the tails and tucked them inside the high V of my top , I find sticking the ends inside the bra keep it in place ...
I think we have identical scarves except for the border , and mine is a very strong reddish orange .More orange [ photos were webcam with flash and look more red]
I never associate Christmas with the colour , just think Winter with snow on the trees in the Bois de Boulogne, and intrigue in the carriages !
Try to disappear the borders if you are overwhelmed by the green , as I am with the orange .
Inside a v neck with your magnets will be fab , and I favour the one where I either knot or twist and bring ends to the back to tie .
It's gorgeous anyway , and I hope you will love it .

MetM is simply beautiful in all its colours , this one is intense and mysterious and I say 'go for it' if you're lucky enough to suit dark scarves ---it's divine.

Chestnutty You are so right to give your beautiful ivory C de la V centre stage and let us breathe in her glorious detail. Firstly, you always look youthful and a drape won't change that , and second if we must not hide that lovely silk that we obsess over [ guilty as charged !]

Delicious on you Maedi what a smooshy silk and the colours are perfect for a lovely Autumn day .
