Thank you, Birdonce. I have posted a fencer today.

Thanks, I saw the picture! I did find one in a red/white/blue colorway on ebay. I am watching it right now trying to decide if that is the right colorway for me.

Seton, thanks also for the advice about borders! I'm realizing the importance of not only how the scarf looks unfolded but how it ties. I do like the cowboy style drape, so I may defer to that one if I buy this scarf. I'd definitely want to show off those fencers.

momasaurus, I own the Comedie in these 3 cw. They are purchased from ebay, expensive and not in good condition, but rare.
If you go hunting for that, IMO the best cw is a bright green one, extremely rare.

the last pic with the olive green curtain has a dark brown border, not green!
Thank you so much, Croisette! Is the last picture the same CW as Chestnutty's posting? That's green so we're not off-topic, but apologies to everyone if we digress!

Thanks for yours thoughts about CWs. I have always rather liked the blue, which is a good colour for me, and you're right about the high prices they fetch. I didn't realize they are also often not in good condition! I will keep my eye out for the bright green for YOU. :D:D:D

Hello scarfies, I peek in here all the time but really must start making a concerted effort to participate-- I like the idea of letting the themes challenge me to evaluate and wear more of my scarf collection! Until this week I had no idea, for instance, that I had so many scarves that feature green-- if someone had asked me, I would have said I had very few. Turns out I've got all kinds of blue-greens, emerald greens, olive greens, lime greens... and this even leaves out a few pieces! :smile1:
Indeed you have many shades of green! What a pleasant surprise for you. (I also had more greens that I thought at first). Lovely assortment.

Birdonce, I thought of you when I saw that red, white and blue Traite just today on EvilBay. Was about to PM you! Can't wait to find out what you decide.
