Oh how I ADORE Critter Week!

Silkies, my dear friends, I turn the BIG 50 today and am wearing one of my new shawls to celebrate, and it has no critters, but I have FOUR new baby goats that will debut on this thread this week. I hope the mods don't kick me off if I overdo it.

You are such a special part of my life. I am most certainly wallet poorer due to your friendship however, and do think about winning the lotto and robbing banks more often as well, but we can pretend I didn't say that.

Happy Birthday! Can't wait to see the baby goats!

Here's my contribution for today, from Astrologie Nouvelle GM summer twill, a critter I do not want to encounter in real life (especially at this size!):

As some of you know on the 2014 thread, I have gotten hooked on AuCoeur deLaVie.

Now own it in 4 CWs (3 from this release, and one from the original release).
This pic is from the original release (red border). Love all the different creatures, from lemurs, monkeys to dragon fly, birds, butterflies and can you see the poisonous red tree frog?

Great variety of scarves to kick off Critter Week. Thank you, scarf1!

Here are my two contributions to critter week - two of my favourite scarves - wish I could wear them now but its still parka weather here.

Beautiful, CanuckBagLover!! Perhaps you could tuck one under your parka, as long as it's covered from any snow or sleet?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Sparkle Dear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Happy Birthday, Sparklelisab! Fifty is a big one, but today, fifty is young! It's the new 40.

Thank you all for your compliments on my AuCouer, I am so tempted to buy it in another color way.

Today I took out a C. Henry "Aux Portes du Palais." I had never noticed animals on it before, but they are everywhere. I just put it on top of a navy jacket, because we are back to winter coats today on the East Coast, My little burn is healing very nicely.

Great shots, beekmanhill. I was looking at the Portes mousseline and thinking just the same thing. How many scarves have a tortoise on them, or a pig? Along with a cow, a horse, 2 ducks, a tiger, some fish and three birds?

Ladies and gents - so much to comment on but woe is me...no time to participate fully. I promise to be back soon.

Totally off theme today but thought I would share a classic bolduc. I'm going back to silk jersey pointus now that I'm back in the hot California sun. So fun to rediscover favs in my scarf drawer.

Glad that you're having fun in your new home, MYH, and getting to wear some different scarves. :smile1:

No wonder that both of you love this scarf - it's such a great colorway for this all-time classic!

Yikes, this is ginormous, VnSoie!

Here's my fave little critter on my Jungle Love csgm, also tied to showcase him.

Still swooning over your shawl, Nico, and waiting patiently for more to show up....

Happy birthday sparklelisab!!!

I wore the chasse en inde today, full of many critters. And a silly face for my husband, my favorite "critter"View attachment 2554728

Very cute, Hobokenite. :D You look terrific in this scarf.

Happy birthday to you and thanks for the present for all of us (i.e., the imminent goat photos).

A scarf full of critters, starting with some birds, the Odd Couple x 2, Annie Faivre's monkeys and assorted serpents. This was a gift from my dear sister, who can be endearingly quirky herself. :smile1:

Nico actually, I don't really know how to wear make up, but the booklet is really helpful. My look is probably not as neat as it could be, but at least it's different from what I was taught for my wedding make up ;)
Well done showing the lemur on Jungle Love.

Hobokenite, your Chasse en Inde looks gorgeous (nice silly face ;) )

jyyanks thanks for showing the details of Chasse en Inde. It's funny, it's less appealing to me when unfolded, even though the design is gorgeous.

VnSoie you're lucky with Astrologie nouvelle, it seems to be a beautiful scarf. I'll stay away from your critter too.

Pierina I don't think I would dare put a twilly on my dog! Although of course it suits him.
Nice match with glasses, mousseline and handbag. You must look great wearing them all at the same time.
Thanks for showing us l'Arbre, it's beautiful.

And here is the corner of my Rencontre océane mousseline, showing the monkey, which brings me back on topic :)

It's funny that I can almost follow every week with only 10 scarves!

Thanks everyone - kritter week is my favourite. I have a rule that my scarves must contain a depiction of the natural world. With some notable although exceptionally few exceptions. I love the birds is Tendresse Feline and here are my favourites. Happy kritter week everyone, I feel happy just saying it :)
