Hi Silkies,
I put on my favorite moussie and drove to San Francisco where the weather is cool and scarf friendly. Look at what I found. This is a new venue of size 55. I personally do not like it but when I saw People du Vent in black and white, I grabbed two, put them together. DONE. Bandana Shmanna!!

I love scarves but am OCD about the wrinkling from knots... For anyone like me, I just discovered these little hobby magnets that allow me to wear a scarf in multiple ways without tying a knot!

In the winter I am going to use this to achieve the quintessentially French casual shawl over the shoulders look that I love but can't get because the thing falls all the time. A couple well placed magnets will be perfect!

This is going to be bad for my wallet, which had been safe from silks

Silkies, I am beyond excited to share my new purchase and just in time! When I saw this piece years ago and having missed it as I have not been a Silky for too long, I D I E D. But here it is--- one of my A-list, Wish-list scarves that came home to California today: Les Toits de Paris.

My favorite details are the chesty, hippy American girl who has rented a flat in Paris for the summer. She is luxuriating over the city's beauty as a nearby cat is stocking a pigeon dinner. The four mice are thrilled they are not going to be his late night supper and may be the most happy detail of the scarf. Sadly, there is a shadow of a kitty who can't get out of the house.
Gaaaah sparkle, you were able to put your hands on this one??? Looooove it !!

It must be too hot for the scarfies to wear their silks! I have been wearing mostly mousselines and cotton scarves lately. The cottons are great as head scarves then topped with a hat for sun protection.

From the archives, a head scarf of Regarde Paris Pointu for theme week and my latest find - the tea stained and quite mysteriously dark Claire de Lune silk from Paris.:graucho:
lanit, desperately trying to catch up! Regarde Paris is a stunner, but Cavalcadour Clair de Lune is such a special beauty  Happy to be your twin on this one, my dear, you'll love it, really a great one! ;)

I love the magnet idea!! Those little magnets are really strong. I never would have thought to use them for shawls.

They are very strong, so of you get this version be careful of pinching your fingers. I am going to look for less powerful magnets as the scarves don't really need it.

I love the looks of this MP pareo too. But I have been hesitant to get it because I imagine it would wrinkle and have pulls easily. Are my worries valid or totally unfounded?

Yes, I think you have to be careful - like you would for any thing. I slide the magnets off - too powerful to pick off, if that makes sense. I personally don't believe the silk pulls easily, but do not try this if you have concerns. I would hate to be responsible for anyone damaging their scarf! For me it was a way to use the pile that I have.

Oh my goodness. These magnets are that strong? Tell us more. And your pareo is dreamy. Completely sold out in US.

Sparklelisab, so sorry the Pareo is sold out! I called me SA immediately when I saw this was coming out. Hope you are able to snag one from somewhere.

MaiTai has a post on her blog about using the magnets with some nice styling ideas.
Lisa, love your moussie and the Paris red scarf!

MT has so many great inspirations! Who knows, maybe she will come out with an elegant cloth covered magnet that can be used? It would have to facilitate sliding over the fabric though.
