Silkies, I am beyond excited to share my new purchase and just in time!

Sparklelisab One of my most desired scarves is this copper coloured Toits de Paris you are the luckiest one and should you ever get tired of her you know who to call :graucho:

I saw this one on a blog some years ago and it's haunted me since. This is THE colour way.

Please model soon !

Silkies, I am beyond excited to share my new purchase and just in time! When I saw this piece years ago and having missed it as I have not been a Silky for too long, I D I E D. But here it is--- one of my A-list, Wish-list scarves that came home to California today: Les Toits de Paris.

My favorite details are the chesty, hippy American girl who has rented a flat in Paris for the summer. She is luxuriating over the city's beauty as a nearby cat is stocking a pigeon dinner. The four mice are thrilled they are not going to be his late night supper and may be the most happy detail of the scarf. Sadly, there is a shadow of a kitty who can't get out of the house.
sparkle, what a lovely story. Congrats on this beautiful carre, esp. in this rare cw. Enjoy!

lanit, I only now noticed your Clair de la Lune! For me, this scarf firmly belongs into the Magic category: it is so beautiful, I am not quite sure how it exists :) It makes me think of an evening of fine cigars and fine chocolate - under the candlelight, in well-worn leather armchairs. What does it feel like to the touch: a twill, a vintage, or entirely something else?

Croisette7, compliments on your vast collection! I'm quite partial to your pink and gold Alphabet finesse, what a rarity and a delight.
Thank you so much for your nice compliments!

Lisa, congratulations on a beautiful cw and adore the whimsy of this design. It reminds me of my latest adventure. We had severe storms where I live about a month ago. Well, to make a long story short. My Oliver discovered a rat that lives in a drainage under our street. The rat has become Oliver's looked after pet and we bring him food everyday! I don't know if the neighbors are too pleased or not, but hey, he is an animal....rat or not!:D I think he can get out just fine now, but he is proabably thinking. Wow, this is really the good life! ha:smile1: Yes, please share with us if this scarf has some symbolic reference to your life! :smile1:

Congrats on this find! And it really IS a find-- no one seems to be surrendering this pattern, and I don't blame them. We are cousins-- I have the predominantly blue version with cream and brick-red accents-- and I can tell you from experience all those sweet details you've described so well never get old! :hugs:

Oh Sparkle this is sooooo cute!! Had you not highlighted those features I would never have imagined they would be in the design isn't that so very cute? I love it! So glad you found a HG too! That's a great feeling, I bet you cannot wait to get wearing the scarf. I shall wish you some cooler weather! Congratulations:dothewave:
