Hi, everyone! I'm wondering if anyone can help me identify scarf patterns with Ottoman or Turkish designs? I'm headed to Istanbul on vacation this fall, and I'd love to visit the H store and buy a scarf as a souvenir -- preferably one that had historical or design significance to that area. Thanks in advance!

These are some Turkish inspired designs:

Ceramique Ottomane
Cheval Turc
Jardin Turkmene
Ciels Byzantins

I hope it helps, good luck and safe trips!

Here's a little "Christmas in July" I finally got my hands on a Noel au 24 Faubourg and hey presto it fits this week's new theme of homage to FSH. Luckily thanks to the scarf being a plisse version and pastel shades, I can get away with wearing it any time!

Waving hi dear Scarfie! Yahoo and it's your perfect Colorway too! With the plissee you can wear it year round!

Two purple scarves tied together: Turandot (Opera Carolina) and Le Pègase d'Hermes:

For sure two of the most precious purple grails Bkm.:smile1:

It must be too hot for the scarfies to wear their silks! I have been wearing mostly mousselines and cotton scarves lately. The cottons are great as head scarves then topped with a hat for sun protection.

From the archives, a head scarf of Regarde Paris Pointu for theme week and my latest find - the tea stained and quite mysteriously dark Claire de Lune silk from Paris.:graucho:
