This morning I had a headache but also an important meeting so I fortified myself with a beautiful contrast hem!

I managed to wear some of my grails this week. All of them were lucky finds during last year.
First my precious La Femme aux Semelles de Vent, which I had been hunting for years!
And then Tous les Bateaux du Monde. Both with beautiful borders. Both in nice condition under retail price.

I am enjoying the sunny warmth… the negative temps at home are adding to my enjoyment but making me feel a little guilty that Coco’s sitter has to go out in it. Brrrrrrrrrr!

The scarves with decorated corners occasionally reference the design’s theme or are actually part of the design. Sometimes the corner decoration is set amidst another frame - a circle, a square, a block. These design elements and details contribute to the overall beauty of the scarf. Here are some examples:

@Cookiefiend!La Danse des Amazones, whether in 90 or CSGM is a perfect example of @Karenska's post about corner motifs and borders! This is a true "grab-and-go" for me and I have missed it while on hiatus from my scarves this winter. Heading out for a late afternoon hike with my dogs before a night and day of rest. I always think of @Marie-the-Mary when I post this beauty.

Heading out to dinner in Jardin de la Maharani. Others have already posted this one for its beautiful border, but I figure the more the merrier! I think this might be my all time favorite shawl.
Today‘s scarf was not H but a little silk from a dear friend. In lieu I finally got Lino to model my new twilly.
Horse Club is one of my go-to throw-and-go shawls for winter. Bonus for the variegated hem, otherwise the edges are rather plain. I'm glad they opted for the fancy hem for this one, it really makes it pop!
