This is my first post in 2023. Have been a bit absent from SOTD in 2022 but hoping to be more active this year. Have really been enjoying the thread so far and seeing all your beautiful scarves!!
Earlier this year (of end of last...?) I acquired the The Royal Mews - Buckingham Palace in pink. It is one that I felt I really had to have in my collection to honor one of the biggest H (Horses and Hermès) lovers of them all: Queen Elizabeth. The scarf was placed on the saddle of her Fell pony Emma during the funderal procession.
One article writes: "It was designed by Jean de Fougerolle and was released as part of the Year of the Horse for Hermes. It was presented to Her Majesty at the 1993 Windsor Horse Show, which was known to be one of her favourite events in the royal calendar."

What looks like the royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom (If anyone here knows better, please let me know if this is correct or not!) can also be found in one of the corners of the Harnais de Cour by LeDoux. The original design was first issued in 1977, so it in fact older than the Royal Mews. The one I have I believe is from 2017. I can't find any explanation as to why it is a part of the design of this scarf.
One website describes the story behind the design as follows:
"Two horses have trotted off leaving their harnesses behind... Outstanding craftsmen put all their skills into making these ceremonial harnesses regularly used in France until the mid-19th century but afterward reserved for sovereigns and galas. In the days when French was the language of the court in many European countries, harnesses of the court were referred to as “à la française”. How could it be otherwise? Manes plaited with silk or trimmed with velvet ribbons decorated with tassels and embroidery called palatine, metal or braid rosettes, gleaming blinkers, leather hand-sewn by master saddlers… It is easy to imagine how fine they looked in their caparisons, led by men who watched over their gait and their passengers – grooms, postilions, and other helpers. Decked in cloth, metal, and leather, every step echoed with the lively clap of horseshoes on the ground and the tinkling of buckles engraved with the family’s arms. By two, six, or eight, great attention was paid to the horses’ appearance for every one of these outings!"

If anyone has some more information on the designs of these two scarves I would be delighted to hear more about it!
Edit: I realised after posting this that there is a Royal SOTD coming up in May. Might reuse the Royal Mews that week as it so fitting for that theme! Even try to find more information about it until then...
