I just wanted to show You my oscarf 2023: Hippopolis.
Then again first purchase of 2024: Under the Waves, which will be oscarf 2024
My two grails, I am so so happy to finally have them.
Such amazing CWs, you look fabulous in them, Ninakt, congratulations!

Apologies in advance for the mega multi quote - this has been a very active day on tPF!

Holy smokes @bunnycat that losange! And thank you for reminding me I need to get Surfing Fan (before the price increase!)

@HermesEchidna these are all wonderful (and fantastic PeF story!) and I’m so looking forward to your always-a-great-read posts in the new year!

Congrats @Mary Ann G - it was meant to be!

These scarves are all award-worthy @redheaddem and I envy your ability to wear oranges so well!

@violetkool another one who wears oranges so well! Absolutely charming twilly and the bracelet as choker is inspired styling!

Wowzers @LKBNOLA you’ve had quite an award-winning year! You wear so many colors and styles all with aplomb! Loooove the moussie!

@paula24jen such fantastic colors! I’ve always believed this has been an underrated design and if I could find this colorway I’d snap it up on a heartbeat. Great scarf ring!

TY @Nomad - if you were looking at the TM pareo on the bay, that one spurred me to contact a sister who I knew had it to get her thoughts on the authenticity of the one haunting me from the listing. Imagine my stunned joy that I hit her at just the right time that she felt like rehoming hers. Should have also bought a lottery ticket that day! (LOL I’ll need to win the lottery if I keep adding to YOSD)

Your well thought out additions are all amazeballs but that Tulipomanie is beyond heavenly!!!

You have such a great smile @GloWW0rM and much to smile about with those gorgeous additions!

TY @Jereni for your lovely compliments and I’m delighted to twin with you on Animapolis and ITCW! All the animals in these three are happy-making!

TY @Croisette7 for the Samourais love - I truly need more necks and I’m convinced you are like an Oscar emcee with dozens of costume changes every day because your collection is just dazzling! That Biches is beautifully soft and when I see one I shall ping LKBNOLA because yes she needs it!

Oh my word @FA73 that shawl is gobsmackingly gorgeous - holiest of grails indeed!

@Redbirdhermes your statuettes are well-distributed! Another post making me kick myself for not getting Tulipomanie - both are transcendent

Oh @Living.la.vida.fifi I am swooning between your scarves and your jewels! And your lippie (especially with the Chacun)! Your photos are always drool-inducing

Welcome @piperdog and congrats on a 90 cashmere! Such a great format and the colors in this are beautiful

So glad to see you @Foxy trini and congrats on the CeC! H knows how to do a mashup so well and this looks smashing on you!

TY @Cookiefiend and your feathered friends are fine indeed!

TY @Marta_K and your cashmeres are leaving me breathless! All so different in color and design and you look beautiful in all!

@Lellabelle oh I think MrBelle is in a category by himself! As for the scarves… jeez o petes they are all marvelous! Love your jewelry pairings and knots.

This brooch is beautiful @Karenska

Thank you, dear Snausages! I am a fan of smaller formats and yours are winners. I am already on a lookout for Tapis Persans twilly :)

I've been enjoying everyone's awesome posts! Sadly haven't been wearing a lot of scarves this week so sharing mostly archives. Pretty sure 2023 was the year I went scarf hunting a bit too seriously.

My "one that got away but managed to find" - C'est la Fete. I remember being heartbroken my store couldn't sell to me when it was first released. Managed to find one from an awesome reseller.

Best double faced - Cheval Sirene

View attachment 5923225

Best older scarf find - Royal Mews, loved it so much that I managed to find two beautiful ones..this one is my favourite of the two

View attachment 5923223

Most unexpected find - Ballade de Heian

View attachment 5923219

Congrats on all these! I love the C’est La Fete and the colors in that last one are just WOW. Sisters on Cheval Sirene.

Adorable all of them! That DuJA is a stunner of course and I’ve never seen that Leonhardi design before. The pattern on it is so fun! Last, I cover your SD triangle something fierce…

Can’t argue with you… I’ve been trying not to pick a winner amongst my CSGM bc I only have 4 and I adore them all but… my pink and blue GTN might be my favorite. Shhh don’t tell the others.

And the Oscarf goes to…
I love all my scarf acquisitions equally but for me, one stands out, because it is not just a scarf for wearing but a piece of art that needs to be celebrated: Cosmographia Universalis by Jan Bajtlik captured my heart very early and I am thrilled to have found one new with tags in this brilliant colorway.

Actually Cosmographia is the scarf that made me aware of H scarfs because I found a replica on Etsy (without any references to H.) that already captured me - imagine my surprise when I discovered the design was actually copied! I had to have the real deal and started following this thread …

Cosmographia Universalis is my top scarf for 2023 and I started the year 2024 in it

Congrats!!! This is one of the less common colorways I want to say? Or maybe just more popular as I don’t see them up for sale as much. I also really really love this design. I would like to own it in multiple colorways but the only one I’m comfortable with is the bright blue and green one.

2023 was a Three-Grail Year for me and each of them deserves its own award. I have made a "photo montage" of the winners. Everyone kept asking what I wanted for such a milestone birthday year. "Oh, just some scarves," I innocently replied. But DH and DD get honorary Oscarfs for attentive listening, excellent organization and follow-through and very creative timing as I never knew which was in the wrapped box I was being given...It was a lot of silky fun and a joy to receive these coveted and now cherished pieces.

So much to love about this post!!! These grails are fabulous. You have a terrible habit of finding something I didn’t know existed and then causing me to go on a new grail hunt immediately. Both your DuJA and the recent black/orange Tohu Bohu are now grails for me lol.

Gorgeous Explorateur and Semmelles as well. Lastly, while the bandana style does not typically call to me, that CSGM you have is just wonderful! So cuddly looking and wearable colors.

@LKBNOLA still in awe over your birth year scarves!! You've inspired me to track some of mine down (sadly the designs aren't as wow to me but found a couple of nice ones!).

I do echo the sentiments of several fellow scarfies - best enablers and models for scarves! :flowers:

Congratulations on your detective work and its Oscarf-worthy result
Thank you! It really felt like detective work haha. DH was watching me become obsessed in real time …

Thank you! I don’t know about the scarcity of the single colorways. I would definitely jump for the blue/pink cw although I find your blue and green one suits you perfectly as well..

Good morning.
My last Oscarfs go to Outstanding Enablement - to Scarflandia for tipping me to purchase designs which I had my eye on, but was not certain about. The chance to see scarves worn and tied for real in here is truly so much better than webshop flats.

These are scarves which have been added to my collection due to you:

Have a great Day!
Haha - exactly. One year we had a theme blaming, or rather acknowledging, the member here who enabled which scarf purchase. It was a fun way to connect us all. This morning alone, I have stopped reading the threads in order to search about 10 times.

Beautiful silks @HermesEchidna and love what you do with CdA rings!

Delighted to twin with you on anything @Croisette7 and I am not only wowed by your GTNs but that super cool bracelet in the last photo… wherever did you find that??!!

I am very happy to have found it, it is preloved obviously, and had 1 flaw, but my goodness, the quality of the fabric is amazing. It is definitely a winter shawl for me, because it is very warm, much much warmer than the blue and turquoise shawl I alreeady had - so as I intend this CW to be worn mostly in FW, it turned out exactly what I was hoping for.

Wow!! Those colors are amazing - congratulations on finding this beauty!
Always happy to be your twin!

Of course the way to avoid getting magnetically stuck to a bar stool is to get someone else to do the vacuuming!
Bwahahahahahaaa!
Somehow I manage to find all the ways one can get into trouble with a scarf and the vacuum… who here remembers when I got mine sucked into the vacuum while I was wearing it? That was a doozy!

(after writing that I did, and, do think that perhaps the vacuum has it out for me…)
Both are so beautiful but the pink really sings to me!!

Dark grey border
Mid grey border
Soft pink
Soft cream/yellow
Light taupe

There may be another cw, I wonder how many scarves were issued?
