It’s a special scarf. And what a unique brooch. Must look up the story

I just got a new watch. I must get back on track with closing my circles. Great work!!
And carrick was a great Mens design

Wow wow. Speechless

Awe…all from scarfies!?!? Wow amazing. Love the pareo! I missed out on this one this month. Still bothered by it

I loved reading this story. We all can relate haha.

Haha another great read!! Love love that parade. And oh my that gorg cw couer :faint:

Wordle hahaa. A beautiful scarf design.

You wear and style these so well! Love it on this top. It pops

Ahh the fainting couch and smelling salts time. Just stunning :faint: . Such a soft beautiful yellow

Clever girl with your ball earrings too. The scarf is beautiful! So classic and chic
Thank you, dear Nomad.
It’s a special scarf. And what a unique brooch. Must look up the story
It’s a sad Irish folk tale. In this design, the largest swan, Fionnuala, is depicted protecting and covering her three brothers, all turned into swans by an evil stepmother, from the cold lakes they were doomed to live on for 900 years. :crybaby:♥️

All amazing awards for the years acquisitions! The colorway of the Surfer Fan is so fun and flattering. And I love the deep tones of the Soies Volants!

Mmm that Pavement scarf has such lovely texture! And - AMAZING colors on the Chacun.

This is very lovely and serene. The texture on the birds is impressive!

Love this on you! And it looks great in that knot.

Sooo beautiful. The elegant tones of these colors together! And perfect with that eggplant blouse.

These are all so lovely on you! I esp love the cheerful colors in Jungle Love and your epic ItCW. And so impressed that MrBelle helps so much with the hunt! My husband likes my scarves well enough but hasn’t even noticed how many I have now.

Congratulations on this new GT! The colors will pair with so much.

Thank you kindly Jereni!

Congrats on such a fantastic find and such lovely colors! And  on the scarf magnet usage. I have still not taken the plunge.
A fabulous design, LKB. So glad that you have such a stunning de Poret. And, so beautiful on you. I would caution you about going near a refrigerator, however, lest you find your scarf magnet leaping from your neck to the frige. I've also had this problem in some elevators.
:faint:
zomg… I die. :faint:
(have to admit to some giggling about the magnets… they really are helpful, but as @Redbirdhermes says - watch out for other metal objects - I once got stuck on a bar stool legs in the kitchen when vacuuming… :giggle:

wait… Unfortunately?? That’s beautiful Croisette, you are so lucky to have that!:heart::heart:
LKBNOLA Your pattern mixing with the earrings and top in the 1st and 3rd picture - chapeau bas!
This is very lovely and serene. The texture on the birds is impressive!
Thank you all for the lovely and kind comments @Marta_K and @Jereni and @bunnycat-- and to @Cookiefiend and @Redbirdhermes thank you for the extra advice about magnets. It took me ages to even pry them apart so I foresee a steep learning curve! I'll probably just use my scarf rings and knots to be extra safe and not stick to any appliances...
It is so beautiful in these colours, LKB ... I have unfortunately the brown one.

And now you need the Biches

Agreeing with @Cookiefiend! I don't see anything at all unfortunate in this post @Croisette7-- I would love to find one of the beautiful sepia tinted or champagne colored de Porets like yours! I think the resellers have a failure of imagination and just call everything "brown" by default. Twice I have been completely surprised by color being so different from online photos: this one (even after sending more photos it did not look this pink) and a Brides Rebelles which photographed blue and was totally white! Oh, and the Les Biches you have is a dream of mine...
Happy New Year from a new scarfie who spent the past few months reading this thread in wonder. I’ve learned so much, gasped at the breathtaking photos, and marveled at this generous and welcoming community. I rarely take, and next-to-never post photos, but was inspired to share my CSPM Legende Kuna Peuple de Panama paired with little h geode earrings.
Welcome to the fun @piperdog-- what a lovely pairing. I hope this means that we will actually see a lot more of you in 2024! A CSPM is a special thing to have and Legende Kuna is beautiful.
Like many of us, I love the vintage scarves. Some are incredibly and finely detailed, they are a marvel to see. They’re sometimes so soft, you know they’ve been loved. Sometimes they’re a little wabi-sabi, and you find you can live with a few flaws … sorta like the ones we love.
And - speaking of my vintage age - we can forgive ourselves for a few flaws.

Last year I found two vintage beauties.

The Oscarf for best jacquard of the year:
La Voliere des Dames - from 1958 (older than I am!), and in the lovely scalloped jacquard. I looked for this for a long time, almost had one in 2022 but the seller cancelled the sale, so I was thrilled to find another!
View attachment 5922974
The Ocarf for the mostest birds on wires:
Les Oiseaux des Champs et des Bois- from 1954 or 2004 - I’m not sure. It only has one of the very old small care tags … so it might be older than I am? :giggle:
You all know how much I like birds, so this scarf made me very happy to finally find. It’s today’s scarf!
View attachment 5922975
These are fabulous and grail-worthy finds @Cookiefiend. Really beautiful both. And I guess we both were having a bird-brain Oscarf moment today...
In 2023 Oldies but Goodies Category, my nominee would be Le Paradis du Roy CSGM by Annie Faivre:

I am very happy to have found it, it is preloved obviously, and had 1 flaw, but my goodness, the quality of the fabric is amazing. It is definitely a winter shawl for me, because it is very warm, much much warmer than the blue and turquoise shawl I alreeady had - so as I intend this CW to be worn mostly in FW, it turned out exactly what I was hoping for.

The colors are gorgeous in your new "oldie" @Marta_K. I am also expecting one form the days of 65/35 cashmere silk and am curious to see and feel the difference. The fabric here looks quite a bit heavier and must be deliciously warm! I do have a soft spot for the color combo of your blue one though...I think you can maybe give them "Night" and "Day" Oscarfs...
Well, I tallied my 2023 purchases yesterday, and will confess that it was a wallet slimming year :girlsigh: Following @Nomad’s fine example, I will say that I didn’t buy as many as last year, but it was still a lot. After an exuberant January I took an extended visit to ban island for half the year, which makes my final total even more embarrassing. I’m not comfortable sharing my number publicly, but I am holding myself accountable by keeping a clear list of purchases; not just for H scarves (there were too many), but scarves from other designers (a few), bags, accessories etc.
To offset my frippery: a good number of these purchases were added to the scarf gift vault, which complicates my Oscarf counts a little. For the purpose of accountability: if I bought it this year, it counts as a purchase for the annual shame total, but for awards purposes, only scarves I have actually received will be eligible for nomination or awards.

So, without further ado:

The Oscarfs for Most coveted by MrBelle, (and I do let him wear it) and for Most likely to put a smile on my face go to:
Grrrrr / Yellowstone Forever men’s 100 silk.
I just adore this one for so many reasons. I missed the original issue, and was delighted to find this wonderful reissue for the Yellowstone Foundation on H.com earlier this year. Also, BEARS! Special nomination for Scarfie assist from @LKBNOLA, who was kind enough to provide an appropriately sized orange ’den’ for it ;) 🙏

The Oscarf for Designer of the year goes to:
Alice Shirley. A few Shirley’s entered my collection this year (overdue, I know!). A couple are represented here, and there is at least one more in the vault, purchased in 2023. Best supporting nominations to Daiske Nomura and Jan Bajtlik for much loved designers that were represented my collection again in 2023. No Ugo Gattoni additions, which was a surprise given how much I love his designs and how much I loved Rendezvous Gallant. I SO wanted that design in regular twill, not vintage silk! (the creasing drives me crazy).

The Oscarfs for Best small format as well as First in format go to:
Chorus Stellarum Bandana.
I loved this design, but the CWs for the 70’s didn’t work so well on me, plus the creasing issue for the ‘vintage silk’ referenced above made me reluctantly pass. I was SO excited to see this in regular twill, plus a fabulous CW in the inky black with white design and matt gold overlay . I was delighted to acquire this as my first bandana. Soon followed by a second, in All Aboard. It’s an easy and fun size. CS also gets a special mention because it was purchased when MrBelle lost a bet (and therefore also makes me smile when I wear it)!.

Oscarf for Best supporting small format goes to En Liberte twilly. I loved this design, but the scale and CW didn’t work for me in the 90, or the CSGM. Fortunately the twillies were just right (and I succumbed to a few!)

The Oscarf for Cheeky elegance/Insouciance goes to:
Lazy Leopardesses.
I was a little late to the party with this one, but ended up with three colourways, plus a duplicate. Wow. I just love the leopard with its tongue poking out, and the almost metallic CW and rich depictions of fur give this design such depth and drama. This should probably also get a nomination for most multiples of the same design purchased this year.
View attachment 5922907

The Oscarf for Best Reissue of a much loved design goes to:
Jungle Love love. A perfect valentines gift from MrBelle and one of the sweetest, most tender moments in a silk design. Honourable mention to Jungle Love forever, which might have taken a shared spot, except it’s in the vault awaiting a special occasion ;)
View attachment 5923032

The Oscarf for Most obsessive scarf hunt goes to:
La Vallee du Cristal. I stalked this one from the moment I saw it. I knew I had to have it. The purple was calling my name, but I was lucky enough to be blessed with a green beauty too, thanks to the insistence of MrBelle. Hence the first of my ‘special’ Oscarfs, below.
View attachment 5923027

Special Oscarf for enablement, support and enduring patience goes to MrBelle. He has not complained once at my scarf exuberance (and he knows my scarf number for the year!) and has encouraged many of my acquisitions this year, as well as giving valuable input to choices. He’s a champ, and deserving of recognition. Extending this thanks to all our dear ones who listen, encourage and support us in our obsession ;)

Special Oscarf for innovation goes to @bunnycat, inventor of the ‘Scarf Gift Vault’ and enabler of opportunity and impulse purchases through the magic of “it’s not another scarf purchase, it’s for the gift vault…”. :ty: Ahem. Thank you, I think? :roflmfao:

The Oscarfs for Grailiest Grail, and Oscarf of the year, go to:
Into the Canadian Wild, Canada 150 Anniversary SE.
I could write an essay about how much I love this one, or what it means to me, but instead I will just post a picture of its fabulousness :cloud9:

A final Special Oscarf of awesomeness to all the residents of Scarflandia, who collectively make this such a wonderful place to be. 2023 has been a year, and I haven’t been able to post, or share, as much as I would have liked. I‘m sure I haven’t even shared all my new-ins this year (!). It’s been a most wonderful refuge and place to escape, as well as a bastion of support and friendship.
Thank you all!

ETA: bless the ‘edit‘ function!
What a beautiful ceremony you have put together @Lellabelle! I think the Oscarf goes to you for Best Original Screenplay, Best Direction, Best Art, Best Cinematography and Best Performance by an Actress in a Mod Shot (or six!). I am delighted with my honorable mention for Prop Mistress in the Yellowstone production! :hugs:  Oh, and Best Supporting DH should get an Orange Statuette, too!

Oh my goodness, what a lovely post, dear @LKBNOLA! You really are too kind!

You really deserve an Oscarf, or six, for your many services to Scarflandia: Most consistent enablement, Most perfectly selected knots, Best scarf pairings, Queen of the marinière, Warmest welcome to new scarfies and Kind and Generous Scarf-friend to many! Your contributions here really have been a highlight not just of 2023, but as long as you have been posting here. :hugs:

Anual shame total - this is brilliant.
Your additions are all wonderful!

I've been enjoying everyone's awesome posts! Sadly haven't been wearing a lot of scarves this week so sharing mostly archives. Pretty sure 2023 was the year I went scarf hunting a bit too seriously.

My "one that got away but managed to find" - C'est la Fete. I remember being heartbroken my store couldn't sell to me when it was first released. Managed to find one from an awesome reseller.

Best double faced - Cheval Sirene

IMG_3970.jpeg

Best older scarf find - Royal Mews, loved it so much that I managed to find two beautiful ones..this one is my favourite of the two

Most unexpected find - Ballade de Heian

Apologies in advance for the mega multi quote - this has been a very active day on tPF!

Well...in order to even think of participating this week, I had to "consult" my scarf spreadsheet as I couldn't actually remember what I acquired this past year. Now that either means 1- I have too many scarves (and that is true  ) or 2- I am losing my mind (also true... :crybaby: )

Brightest scarf of the year in no doubt goes to the exceptional Marble cashmere losange decorated with Kyoto Marble flowers, and trimmed in Jungle Love Rainbow. This is also my SOTD today because it is cold, and wet, and breezy which makes it all seep in...

Holy smokes @bunnycat that losange! And thank you for reminding me I need to get Surfing Fan (before the price increase!)
Good morning!!!

I have some more nominees for my personal Oscarfs, and here are the statues for the Good , the bad and the really ugly scarves of 2023.

As you know, I like vintage scarfs - both for their looks, the possibilities of doing a bargain and for the thrill of the chase.
I also love how they sometime really reflect their age in design and colors.
In 2023 two scarves came to me, which I would not say are particular beautiful, but certainly have their charm.
My Bad scarf Award goes to very Brown Skyros, and the ugly scarf Awards goes to Alfabeth. The ‘ugly’ label has been put on by DD, whom, as I Think I have mentioned before, declared this scarf to be the ugliest she had ever seen :giggle:
Skyros

Then let us turn to the more bright side of life - the Good Scarf!
This year I got my hand on one of the most beautiful cw of scarves I know - the black/green/fuchsia/pink Coeur de la Vie. I have not worn it yet, just tried it on and admired it.
View attachment 5922742

Second statue of the Day is for Best Scarf Swap.
The story goes: I was offered to purchase a brand new in box with reciept marine Super silk quest. Someone had bought it as a gift, but plans had changed, and they could not get a refund and just wanted some kind of cash in hand for it.
Having just acquired the green SSQ I politely declined, but after a month they offered it to me for half the prize. My inner scarf goblin awoke, I bought it and the next Day I went Into the H shop and swapped it without any questions for this wonderful Parade et Fanfare - which I adore, and have both sisters and twins in here who feel the same I am sure.
Oscarf for Best Scarf Swap (and bargain) goes to :

View attachment 5922743

Wish you a Day full of both Parades and Fanfares!!!
Oh Hi again
In an unexpected second post, I have a third category - the Unexpected Grail Scarf.
The scarf I ended up being most happy about in 2023 was one I did not even know existed before seing it on a vintage shop site and Then vaguely remembering @LKBNOLA wearing it beautifully in here (and Thank you so much for that!)
This naturallly encouraged me and I am now the happy owner of Nothing but a dreamer - the winner of Unexpected / Unknown grail of 2023.

@HermesEchidna these are all wonderful (and fantastic PeF story!) and I’m so looking forward to your always-a-great-read posts in the new year!
My nominee today for, ”The One That Almost Got Away…” La Vallee de Cristal (didn’t I warn you, I can’t stop wearing it?!?!). When I learned of it months ago, and perused all the colorways online, I couldn’t decide which I liked best. Then some brilliant scarfie said something that I think also crossed my mind - how it reminded her of Anne McCaffrey’s Crystal Singer series. This cw in particular reminds me of how the world looked to Killashandra before her “adaptation” when suddenly what seemed like the dull colors she was surrounded in exploded into a brilliant riot!

Well, fast forward to, I’m in the boutique, The Scarf is in my hand. I was still unsure of the cw (did I relate to the monochromatic landscape of the “before,” or the explosion of color “after” the transformation??? The only other cw they had didn’t fit the bill….). So, I left it there. And fretted. And showed DH who voted for the monochrome version (I didn’t even try to explain the book!). Still I fretted - should I contact the kind SS that provided his business card, to see if it was still available? Shouldn’t I? Days (seems like weeks) passed. Of course, you already know the ending - it WAS still available, and was kindly set aside waiting for me to pick it up 😍

Today I have hidden the unicorn away… she will be our little secret :

Congrats @Mary Ann G - it was meant to be!

I have not participated much and am behind because I try to limit use of my phone during the holidays. But seeing all of you here from time to time is wonderful 😍

I love CSGM, in fact my GTN shawl was my first ever H item and I have since added 3 more shawls and 2 triangles. I love my CSGM and wear them almost daily. Although you have seen them repeatedly here I could not not participate this week.

I am travelling now, so I made a little collage of my 6 pieces (GTN, La Selle Imaginaire, Botanica Grafica, Retour à la nature and 2 Bal de Soie triangles)

Hoping to add a lot more in the future 😁

Thanks you for making this such a special place for all of us. I really enjoy exchanging with all of you, a wonderful creative and kind community ❤️

I have been enjoying the Oscarfs so much, especially the fun categories you all come up with.

My first Oscarf goes to my all time favourite H scarf (favourite format, overal favourite colours and my first ever H purchase too) : Grand Theatre Nouveau CSGM 😍 it is also my SOTD ( and of a lot of other days too)

These scarves are all award-worthy @redheaddem and I envy your ability to wear oranges so well!
Today I am wearing Mille et un Lapins twilly, with Behapi Double Tour bracelet layered on top as a choker. I should probably give an Oscarf to twillies for best format. So versatile and easy to wear.

View attachment 5922747
@violetkool another one who wears oranges so well! Absolutely charming twilly and the bracelet as choker is inspired styling!
Well, dear friends, some of y'all have posted vintage scarves and some of you have posted scarves that are older than your tender years and still others have posted "golden oldies," but I have yet to see an award for a vintage scarf worn by a scarfie of the exact same vintage, so here goes. The Oscarf "Lifetime Achievement Award" goes to this lovely silk who, like me completed 70 turns around the sun in 2023.
Les Chemins de l'Iles de France, 1953

It took me a few years of planning and quite a bit of help and advice from folks here and in other corners of the Scarf Universe to find this so it may also deserve an award for most successful collective search... :flowers: :hugs:
View attachment 5922565
I have a few other awards to present today (one will depend on lighting, timing and opportunity). In 2023, I acquired my first (and likely to remain only) exceptional scarf, Pois Couture Ex Libris, sometimes also called Ex Libris au Pois. This is a 90 mousseline embroidered with small bright blue beaded discs. I did not have a classic Ex Libris in my collection so I was thrilled to add this one. The Oscarf for "Best Exceptional" in my collection goes to this lovely piece (albeit by default)...
View attachment 5922755
My last post of today (I should have really grouped them into one, so thank you for indulging me!). is another first. I think of @Redbirdhermes as the Queen of de Poret designs here as she has collected them so assiduously since I have been participating. I so admire her collection. His work is so very beautiful and tender and true that I am always compelled by the designs but they are generally out of reach in terms of availability and price. To date I had only the 70 reissue of Les Bassets, which is wonderful but I longed for some birds, or dogs or deer... le sigh. Well 2023 was the year I found my first (and probably only) Xavier de Poret, Les Tourterelles. Incidentally this scarf was listed by the reseller as "brown" and the photos did seem to support that... I asked for more and..voila!

My 2023 Oscarf for Best Artist goes Les Tourterelles

A tiny little Oscarf statuette also goes to me for the first time securing a scarf with magnets and causing no injury to myself, the mirror or any innocent bystanders during the process :giggle:
Wowzers @LKBNOLA you’ve had quite an award-winning year! You wear so many colors and styles all with aplomb! Loooove the moussie!
Quite by coincidence, my SOTD is Sangles en Zig Zag:

View attachment 5922782
@paula24jen such fantastic colors! I’ve always believed this has been an underrated design and if I could find this colorway I’d snap it up on a heartbeat. Great scarf ring!

In 2023 I purchased 5 in-season scarves. I work really hard to keep my in-season full cost purchases down since I have so many vintage I love and hunt for. And well…price increases leave a sour taste in my mouth. Once upon a time I bought 90’s for what $350 several years back, before Covid?

I actually love them all!! I bought studio bc DD plays the piano and orange cuit works well on me. I bought the marble because this marble isn’t just pastels and has that red I love, and least amount of blank background color of all my other marbles I have rehomed. I bought the bouclerie totally by surprise when saw in boutique and just fell in love. I bought costumes Bc I will buy any scarf with such strong cultural connection, and for cyclamen color, plus folk art vibes  .
But if I was to award a “favorite 2023 season Oscarf” then it would go to Tulipomanie. I gasp when I unfold it. It’s so gorgeous. And I plan to add more cw’s for under retail whenever they may come up. But just the one Tulip for retail price is my rule.

TY @Nomad - if you were looking at the TM pareo on the bay, that one spurred me to contact a sister who I knew had it to get her thoughts on the authenticity of the one haunting me from the listing. Imagine my stunned joy that I hit her at just the right time that she felt like rehoming hers. Should have also bought a lottery ticket that day! (LOL I’ll need to win the lottery if I keep adding to YOSD)

Your well thought out additions are all amazeballs but that Tulipomanie is beyond heavenly!!!

In 2023 I didn’t buy as many new 90s - a total of 3, of which Costume de Fete has to be my favourite. I love Jan Bajtlik and will be adding an Animapolis giant silk to join my Cosmographia CSGM.

View attachment 5922814

I bought Alice Shirley and Annie Faivre designs on the second hand market this year and of these I think DUJA stole my heart!
View attachment 5922817
Lastly, this year I added CSGMs more than any other format. I love them and wear one daily. En Liberte is the winner of the CSGM purchases on the basis that it’s the only multiple I have!
View attachment 5922818
Archive shots because we’ve all tested positive for Covid and feeling rough so I’m not able to wear my beautiful scarves.
You have such a great smile @GloWW0rM and much to smile about with those gorgeous additions!
My next Oscarf category will be Best After-Market Purchase… which is a terrible one to do in year 1 bc I got SO MANY and adore almost all of them.

In making an attempt to single out a few that really stand out, I will go with:

#1 Animapolis… kind of like other designs like Acte III and ELeK, I’d gotten the impression around here that this design is universally beloved, and after a side discussion with a lovely scarfie, I went for the blue and green one. I love it so incredibly much more than I even expected, and is also my SOTD.

View attachment 5922807

#2 Sous le Charme d’Orphee - I’ve talked ya’lls ears off enough by now about how much I love this so I won’t repeat myself. Suffice to say that this would have been one of my grailiest of grails and hunted forever, but I managed to luck out and find it right away.
View attachment 5922808

#3 Into the Canadian Wild. Because, lynxes. AMIRITE???!!!
View attachment 5922809
TY @Jereni for your lovely compliments and I’m delighted to twin with you on Animapolis and ITCW! All the animals in these three are happy-making!

It is so beautiful in these colours, LKB ... I have unfortunately the brown one.

And now you need the Biches

View attachment 5922976

View attachment 5922977
TY @Croisette7 for the Samourais love - I truly need more necks and I’m convinced you are like an Oscar emcee with dozens of costume changes every day because your collection is just dazzling! That Biches is beautifully soft and when I see one I shall ping LKBNOLA because yes she needs it!
The 2023 winner in multiple categories. For Best Artist, Best Format, Best CW, and Best Grail, the incomparable Sieste au ParadisView attachment 5922841
Oh my word @FA73 that shawl is gobsmackingly gorgeous - holiest of grails indeed!
I'd like to nominate four standout scarves from the Spring/Summer 2023 season for the Oscarf of the season.

Costume de Fete

View attachment 5922693View attachment 5922694

One look at this Costume de Fete in the exuberant bleu azure CW01, I knew this colorway was going to go fast. Which it did.

But, the scarf design that truly stands out for me came along later in the season and was Tulipomanie. The history behind the beautiful, streaked tulip blooms which caused the economic bubble that occurred in Holland in the 17th century makes this a winner for me.

The Oscarf for the Best of Spring/Summer 2023 goes to Tulipomanie.

View attachment 5922866
@Redbirdhermes your statuettes are well-distributed! Another post making me kick myself for not getting Tulipomanie - both are transcendent
Here are some more 2023 new-ins, each one award-worthy in my book…

The Oscarf for Shawl of the Year goes to Faubourg Tropical… It is actually the only CSGM I got this year, but I’m pretty sure it would’ve gotten the top award for it is divine!
Here, as I wore it out to dinner on New Years Eve
View attachment 5922878

The Oscarf to Best Giant Silk of the year goes to Planisphere d’un Monde Equestre… My Grail Aloha Ala Moana is in a special category, and this was the only other giant silk I purchased late last year and have already worn it multiple times…
View attachment 5922879

And, now a special Oscarf to The Return of the One that Got Away… LOL… Just like Dans un Jardin Anglais, I tried this one on not once but twice at the Hermès boutique in 2017, but was too dazzled by Samourais and other designs to commit to it, so I left it behind, lost it and always regretted it. Well, I am delighted to have found it again in the same CW this year: Chacun Fait Son Nid
View attachment 5922880

Biarritz which was issued in 1954 was the oldest scarf I purchased this year, but she belongs to the Grail category, so I will give the Oscarf to the Most Vintage Scarf of the Year to Pavement which was issued in 1970
View attachment 5922881
Oh @Living.la.vida.fifi I am swooning between your scarves and your jewels! And your lippie (especially with the Chacun)! Your photos are always drool-inducing
Welcome @piperdog and congrats on a 90 cashmere! Such a great format and the colors in this are beautiful
SOTD - Carre en Carre. I love this scarf so much that it’s a multiple situation. I already plan to wear the blue one tomorrow. I missed out on a pristine shawl on the real real stubbornly waiting on a price reduction that never came. I’m on the hunt for that in 2024! Added this deer family I encountered on my morning walk today. Happy Wednesday all! @Cookiefiend thanks for the kind welcome, I still am not a fan of preparing a massive multi quote (though I do like reading when others do them) so I hope this is ok!
So glad to see you @Foxy trini and congrats on the CeC! H knows how to do a mashup so well and this looks smashing on you!

TY @Cookiefiend and your feathered friends are fine indeed!
In 2023 Oldies but Goodies Category, my nominee would be Le Paradis du Roy CSGM by Annie Faivre:

View attachment 5923001
I am very happy to have found it, it is preloved obviously, and had 1 flaw, but my goodness, the quality of the fabric is amazing. It is definitely a winter shawl for me, because it is very warm, much much warmer than the blue and turquoise shawl I alreeady had - so as I intend this CW to be worn mostly in FW, it turned out exactly what I was hoping for.

View attachment 5923003

Thank you very much, @Croisette7. I had no CSGM with dark navy and wanted one from the good old times, and this ticked all boxes. However, the turquoise one remains my number one favourite for summer

View attachment 5923009

I‘m sure I haven’t even shared all my new-ins this year (!). It’s been a most wonderful refuge and place to escape, as well as a bastion of support and friendship.
Thank you all!

@Lellabelle oh I think MrBelle is in a category by himself! As for the scarves… jeez o petes they are all marvelous! Love your jewelry pairings and knots.
Thank you, dear Nomad.

It’s a sad Irish folk tale. In this design, the largest swan, Fionnuala, is depicted protecting and covering her three brothers, all turned into swans by an evil stepmother, from the cold lakes they were doomed to live on for 900 years. :crybaby:♥️

Congrats @Mary Ann G - it was meant to be!

These scarves are all award-worthy @redheaddem and I envy your ability to wear oranges so well!

@violetkool another one who wears oranges so well! Absolutely charming twilly and the bracelet as choker is inspired styling!

Wowzers @LKBNOLA you’ve had quite an award-winning year! You wear so many colors and styles all with aplomb! Loooove the moussie!

@paula24jen such fantastic colors! I’ve always believed this has been an underrated design and if I could find this colorway I’d snap it up on a heartbeat. Great scarf ring!

You have such a great smile @GloWW0rM and much to smile about with those gorgeous additions!

TY @Jereni for your lovely compliments and I’m delighted to twin with you on Animapolis and ITCW! All the animals in these three are happy-making!

Oh my word @FA73 that shawl is gobsmackingly gorgeous - holiest of grails indeed!

@Redbirdhermes your statuettes are well-distributed! Another post making me kick myself for not getting Tulipomanie - both are transcendent

Oh @Living.la.vida.fifi I am swooning between your scarves and your jewels! And your lippie (especially with the Chacun)! Your photos are always drool-inducing

Welcome @piperdog and congrats on a 90 cashmere! Such a great format and the colors in this are beautiful

So glad to see you @Foxy trini and congrats on the CeC! H knows how to do a mashup so well and this looks smashing on you!

TY @Cookiefiend and your feathered friends are fine indeed!

TY @Marta_K and your cashmeres are leaving me breathless! All so different in color and design and you look beautiful in all!

@Lellabelle oh I think MrBelle is in a category by himself! As for the scarves… jeez o petes they are all marvelous! Love your jewelry pairings and knots.

This brooch is beautiful @Karenska

It is pretty amazing! And was wonderfully warm today. You really should get Surfing Fan before the increase. It is super cute, and the mini border/hem is amazing on it.
