Hitting it out of the (dog) park, Snausages! And BTW, your handle is very expressive of your love of doggies :dog: - he wants a treat.
Your pups are so beautiful.

Colliers de Chiens, the second of two clinker scarves bought internationally not as described - too much trouble to return so I lobbied for discounts to marginal success (the other was Appaloosa des Steppes 90 in the raspberry/canard cw). This CdC one will never lose its perfume odor, I fear. View attachment 5702786
Glad to see you back too, Karen. Gorgeous Colliers de Chiens, but too bad about the smell. I had one scarf that I hung in my basement laundry room for months, then two hand washes, and it is finally wearable for a short period of time.

Welcome to Day 4 of the Paws for Thought theme week! Today we're focusing on other furbabies (and scalebabies and featherbabies)*! There are more furbabies than just bunnies and cats and dogs. People have been known to keep other pets in the rodent family (mice, hamsters, gerbils, capybaras), scaley pets (lizards, snakes, fish) and of course fine feathered friends (parrots, anyone?).

Before being old enough to have a dog in the house, my sister and I practiced pet parenting with fish and gerbils. And, I had a friend with a boa constrictor - to this day I love snakes!

Did you know that penguins are covered with just about the most feathers of any bird? They look so rubbery but have 100 feathers per square inch! They’re very soft - yes, I’ve pet a penguin!

Penguins are in many scarves, including Shackleton, Into the Canadian Wild, and once again Sur Mon Nuage can play along!

And so, my Silken Sisters and Brothers, I ask you to show me your other fur-/scale-/feather-babies! Bonus points for showing your real life animal friends!
(*Have no fear – any SOTD is on-theme!)
This is a wonderful post! It’s apparent you love all creatures great and small, dear Snausages, even squirmy snakes - more power to ya, my blood runs cold just like theirs when I even think of them. I am both repelled and fascinated. I love their place in nature, just don’t bring one near me. But to prove I’m a live and let live kinda gal, I did wax poetical back on Jan 9, 2022 SOTD about a tiny fuscia pit viper I saw in the herpetarium at the National Zoo .
Focusing on our feathered friends, pelicans, penquins, an owl and eagle.

Welcome to Day 5 of the Paws for Thought theme week! Today we're focusing on hooves*! Hooves are kind of like paws, and horses are fur babies, yes?

Hermes began as a leather harness maker so horses are an integral part of the brand’s history. When a boutique opens, the first customer is always a horse.

My holiest of all holy grails is Accidents de l’Equitation but I’ve never seen one IRL or on the resale market. Should I find one, it would likely be the horsiest scarf in my collection because I just don’t gravitate to more classic designs.
View attachment 5701272
But even someone like me has plenty of horses/horse adjacency in the scarf drawer: Cheval a Caractere, Vif Argent, Ulysse En Attendant, Quatre Chevaux

But if we want to stretch things, there are other Hooved furbabies beyond equines: pigs have been kept as pets (and are as smart as dogs!), Highland Cows are a bit big for pets but have adorable fur, and everyone knows llamas wear pajamas, right?

And so, my Silken Sisters and Brothers, I ask you to show me your hooved scarves! Bonus points for showing your real life animal friends!
(*Have no fear – any SOTD is on-theme!)
Beautiful post! You look great in soft pink, Snausages, a favorite color of mine! I venture a guess that the one animal most featured in our collections is the HORSE!! Majestic, spectacular, I adore them, although I do not ride anymore, sadly :crybaby:. This beautiful thoroughbred at the stable where I used to ride was a very special friend (I never rode her). She seemed to like me. The horse in the background is sn Arabian. Much smaller than the Tbred. 74805D9F-DE77-42CF-BE27-B7E3761CD0D1.jpeg
My favorite breeds are draft horses. Gentle giants, I just love thrm. Belgians, Frisians, the English draft horses, the Irish Cob, featured in Les Ailes de Pegase.

Thank you, RHB, I have missed everyone. It’s not unwearable but it’s so annoying because had it been described accurately, I would have not bought it.

Thank you to everyone for the likes and loves and comments-- I have loved all your photos and am commenting mostly on those that feature your critters as well as your lovely silks!
Is Rdv chez H à 70 ?
Yes @Coco2606 -- I believe it was AW2021.
Twins on the CdC ... your doggies were so nicely dressed up!
I love/hate that we have similar tastes in scarves because your mod shots are quite the enablement @LKBNOLA
Thank you both @Croisette7 and @Snausages!
A day late with the dog theme but wanted to share some of the dogs I have.

Les Bassets. This one was notorously difficult to get a hold off where I live. Probably would have bought more cws if I had found them. I hope they reissue "Monarch" and/or I find one in the pre-loved market. That one is a holy grail I'm still hunting for!

Today - January 25 - Scotland celebrates Burns Day in honor of Scotland's beloved national poet, Robert Burns, author of Auld Lang Syne and ... a few fairly ribald poems (Nine Inch Please a Lady comes to mind). Burns Day culminates in the Burns Supper in which a haggis is brought in on a platter to the sounds of bagpipes then ceremonially sliced open. There's a special tune just for the event. Neeps and tatties on deck, lots of Scotch, and then recitations of Burns' poems to the wee hours. We're hosting one of these Burns Suppers tonight. My SOTD is new to me Fleurs D'Ecosse (found in great condition and for a steal!) in glorious, happy colors. It has 2 furry friends in the form of unicorns - the official national animal of Scotland.

This scarf is gorgeous and congratulations on finding such a beauty @EtsyBoss. Now if only we could get an audio of your dinner party...
This past week's been crazy and I haven't had any time at all to look for bunnies...so kitties will have to do.

Many cute pictures with Pickles and Snickers from this past week that make them look like angels...but in reality Pickles pulled some yarn off one of my looms last night and chewed on it. Now he is under observation (again) for intestinal blockages. Meanwhile, Snickers made yet another backyard escape and probably spent a good 2 hours out there running wild in the back yard while I was working on beads and didn't know. Then when I caught her and put her in, she ran back out the back door whereupon I engaged in pursuit, jumped for her before she could get out the patio door again, tripped and fell through the door myself, injuring my shoulder, toe and hip. It sucks to be old.... :cursing: So please keep this story in the back of your mind while you oooh- and -ahhh about them being little   Because today it was certainly more like kitties trying to :death: me

Hi Everyone , after a very relaxing break in Bali, I am trying to catch up!! Today in Australia we are celebrating Australia Day . I am happy to join many of you who have Sur Mon Nuage. I particularly like this scarf, (after trying to resist it for so long).
I was on a mini break with DH and visited the store and this c/w just clicked with me. This scarf resonates with me and I'm sure, many others, due to the beautiful illustrations.

Mum born in year of rabbit, neighbour was a cello teacher, had ballet lessons until age 18, still love playground swings and my angel doggies frolicking around. I'm also a dreamer with my head in the clouds! Have a great day everyone

I am a little bit late to the party but first my thanks to @Snausages for hosting this wonderful week of furry, feathery or other friends. We don’t discriminate in the pet category! I love to see all your beautiful cats, dogs, birds and horses :hbeat:
I have found out that as a cat lover I really need more scarfs with cats  I have to fill this void! Any excuses to buy more H are always welcome :happydance:
Please excuse this massive post!
So my contributions are:
On Tournez Manège a regal looking cat as well as a party of horse, pig, sheep and goat (I think) galloping along together.
A cat, a really big dog and some horses on Early America.
Some goats - if I am not mistaken - on my Pavement.
And the beautiful big furry dog on La Vie du Grand Nord
The real deal: my Miss Marple, really fluffy because half Persian. Her favorite pastime is to take place in the middle of my cutting table on top of the fabric always when I try to cut out something for sewing… Or on top of my sewing machine.
In addition my godchild-dog, Heidi, my best and oldest friend‘s dachshund.

Welcome to Day 6 of the Paws for Thought theme week! Today we're focusing on these-shouldn’t-be- furbabies-because-they-are-wild-animals. Dallet is noted for his realistic drawings of wild cats, and Alice Shirley had a series of wild animals in the men’s section (bear, wolf, T. rex)

I. Love. Bears. In 2018 I took a bucket list trip to the shores of Hudson Bay to watch polar bears in the wild.
View attachment 5702055

My bucket list still includes a trip to Katmai to see the fat bears of Brooks Falls, Alaska. So of course I had to get Yellowstone Forever!
View attachment 5702053View attachment 5702047
And while bobcats aren’t really ‘big’ cats, they are bigger than most house cats and live in my neighborhood. I see them out and about and unbothered by people several times a year.

We have coyotes and many many wild marine animals in our neck of the woods @Snausages-- love your beautiful scarves and I do hope you achieve your fat bear bucket list item-- you will be well-scarved when you do!

Mot my SOTD but on theme. New to me Kenya by Dallet with the leopard spots jacquard. I bought this to serve as a talisman hoping to see "cats" on a recent trip to Namibia. Wore it each night at dinner and the next day was successful spotting many cats (total 50+ [!!!] in 6 weeks).

Falling in love again with this beauty my DH gave me for Christmas one year, 12 Leopards. It's been almost a year since I've worn it. I love the kitties lounging amongst the books. My favorite little detail .. this time.. is the one who looks lost in a daydream, perhaps thinking of travels. I don't have a photo but I will always remember an exhilarating safari experience at night in a jeep with just a spot light, crashing through the bush hot on the trail of a leopard that had been spotted. We *did* see it and it was unforgettable. The only wild cat I saw before that was a bobcat on the side of the road in Montana. I wish I could see them more regularly like @Snausages! Lions were my first love though. If I could be anywhere in the world right now, I'd be in South Africa on safari watching the lions sleep.

This was a birthday gift last year, and (shame) is just getting its first proper outing. I don’t know why I keep thinking I have nothing that goes with it. I have lots that goes with it in the grey and blue spectrum. It’s my yellow-hesitance, I think!
I love this on you but understand the hesitancy. I also own this colorway and I’ve yet to find the perfect outfit to make it shine. It really does look wonderful with grey especially the textured sweater.
It is beautiful on you @Lellabelle and both y'all if you cannot figure it out, please send it on to meeeeee. I know exactly what I would do with this beauty--long been on my wish list...

Hello, Scarfies! I am back in a limited way and will never be able to catch up, but I want to join in and so will start by following dear @Snausages’ journey as host, starting with Monday, as I already chimed in on bunnies.

These are wonderful examples of our feline-themed scarves, Snausages, and I love the cat information, being krazy for kitties. Le Chat is iconic. The reclining Sealpoint in the foreground reminds me of my beauty, Minette, a queen if ever there was one. You’ve seen this before but it’s worth showing again for this theme.

And thank you all for a lovely week! I’ve so enjoyed seeing so many scarves and so many pets! It’s been a delight to guest host - my hats off to the full-time scarf mistresses for coming up with a fun calendar!

Do elephants count? If they don’t, there’s also a dog. I don’t think anyone has shown Splendeurs des Maharajas, which I’m wearing today.
Elephants absolutely count! They are wild and probably should not be kept as house pets. The scarf however should 100% be kept and shown off regularly!

YES! I. Love. Bears. too! I’ve been waiting to see your Yellowstone forever ;). My only bear sighting in Yellowstone was rather far away, but there are many attractions to the park and its an incredible visit. Churchill Manitoba and the Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia are also on my bucket list.

I am fortunate to live in an area with an abundance of wildlife, including the large kind. Bears are frequent visitors to the garden, along with the occasional cougar, and at the cabin we see moose, wolf and lynx as well. There’s something incredibly beautiful about these animals in the wild and glimpsing them is humbling.

I LOVE your collection of animal scarves - please keep them coming!
Churchill is a soul-changing trip. Highly recommend a NatHab tour!

I’ve only recently learned of the jacquard version - fabulous to see a mod shot! And holy cats what a breathtaking experience! The baybeeeesssss!!!

I love this on you but understand the hesitancy. I also own this colorway and I’ve yet to find the perfect outfit to make it shine. It really does look wonderful with grey especially the textured sweater.

I picked this up at an airport H, and still haven't worn it. We'll have to bring out our hidden/forgotten treasures for Sleeping Beauty week!

This scarf and CW are fabulous! I think you should try wearing with a little black dress - keep it simple as far as the dress details (simple shift/ bodycon) and let this scarf to shine. Gray steel will look like a million bucks when worn on black, plus the yellow hem will provide an additional contrast! Gorgeous scarf.

I'll try on white to make it really shine.

This silk really should not remain in your drawer! This steely grey is gorgeous! Love it! The yellow is just the tiny bit of contrast that makes it shine even more imo! And with a crisp white shirt in summer and silver jewelry it would be stunning
Thank you @MAGJES , @xincinsin , @Ashanti_Rose , @Coco2606 and @Katharina Luise for the advice. Noted, and I will include this one - with your suggestions - for sleeping beauty week!

And a photo of a most adorable birthday card I received, photo by Rachel Hale, this little darling is all dressed up for tea and crumpets. She would look so fab in H silk :giggle:.

Minette and Chiff model their twillies so beautifully and Minette is indeed a queen! Condolences on loss of your sweet boy, I know how much he meant to you :hugs:
