Now some horses! Though I never have been a rider myself, I have always lived in a region with a lot of horsebreeding and big tournaments. And I have riders in my family. When you take a stroll through my neighborhood you will always see grazing horses. But in this household only silky horses and their relatives, some feathery zebras ;)

A veritable stable of beautiful blue horses! The deep blue Zebra Pegasus (shawl?) is sublime.

Life has gotten in the way of joining one of my favorite activities here. But I have so enjoyed catching up with all of the beautiful silks and fur babies! I'm still 'digging out' but had to take a minute to post a few of the SOTD pictures I was able to take. Some on theme some not.

Rocabar, Chat, 12 Leopards/Faubourg Tropical, Della Cavalleria - Maserati, Lucy, and Sheridan, 65lbs of Maine Coon

Lovely to see you and your wonderful silks - well done on the double up! But of course the scene stealers are the three fluff monsters!

You have a wonderful silk stable!

Do elephants count? If they don’t, there’s also a dog. I don’t think anyone has shown Splendeurs des Maharajas, which I’m wearing today.

I am a little bit late to the party but first my thanks to @Snausages for hosting this wonderful week of furry, feathery or other friends. We don’t discriminate in the pet category! I love to see all your beautiful cats, dogs, birds and horses :hbeat:
I have found out that as a cat lover I really need more scarfs with cats  I have to fill this void! Any excuses to buy more H are always welcome :happydance:
Please excuse this massive post!
So my contributions are:
On Tournez Manège a regal looking cat as well as a party of horse, pig, sheep and goat (I think) galloping along together.
A cat, a really big dog and some horses on Early America.
Some goats - if I am not mistaken - on my Pavement.
And the beautiful big furry dog on La Vie du Grand Nord
The real deal: my Miss Marple, really fluffy because half Persian. Her favorite pastime is to take place in the middle of my cutting table on top of the fabric always when I try to cut out something for sewing… Or on top of my sewing machine.
In addition my godchild-dog, Heidi, my best and oldest friend‘s dachshund.

Great finds on Tournez Manège! That sweet husky face on Grand Nord is gorgeous, the colours on your Early America are lovely and pavements is a classic! The Bernina gave me an unexpected trip down memory lane, as my mother, who loved to sew, had one and I remember it fondly. It was a workhorse and had the most satisfying sound when running :)

Miss Marple is a hilarious name for a cat! The BBC series with Joan Hickson in the titular role was just charming; did you see it? So sweet to see your little miss ’helping’ with your sewing :). And godchild-dog clearly adores you

Look at the pretty little sheep I found while strolling near the Petit Trianon! SOTD Flânerie à Versailles View attachment 5701399View attachment 5701400
I never noticed the sheep before!
I neeeed one !
Yes. Yes you do ;)

Yay - hoof fur babies! Jumping by LeDoux seemed like the perfect one for this day. I believe my cws are from the 1971 (green) and a later reissue (blue, 80-90s?). Paired them with horse-themed scarf rings. :P

Got inspired by @Smae-ze to share some photos of "my" cutie (he is not mine, but I ride him sometimes). The last photo is a photo (a screenshot from a video hence the quality) from when we were jumping last year. He thought the jump was much larger than it was!

ooh, that blue jumping is fabulous on you @Naessi! and your equine pal is a handsome chap indeed, and clearly quite the athlete! Love the action pic :)

So MUCH doggie cuteness ….and of course the silks…..but those sweet faces!

It’s been years since I lost my sweet cocker spaniel Sophie.
I loved being her #1.

Sophie is beautiful, @MAGJES, thank you for sharing these sweet pictures and memories. The bond we have with them is special, and it leaves a lasting mark. Sophie was clearly loved, and she looks like she knows it!

yesterday was a two scarf “wearing” day AND a tote-bag-overflowing-with-scarves day, as I had the most fun meet up w a wonderful scarfie friend from here
:ghi5:
. Show-and-tell luncheons should be a thing for all of us. But the best part of it all is when there are no more scarves to show each other, there are genuine friendship connections made through this forum and I am so thankful for it
:hbeat:

Into the canadian wild was the only one I remembered to take a photo of. Lots of critters. Sorry, poor lighting at this window.
And today, Jardin de soie csgm. Some real critters and some mystical

Yes! Hooray for scarf luncheons, hooray for TPF friends and hooray for ITCW! And not to forget your lovely Jardins de soie - those colours are wonderful on you @Nomad ; you are killing the greens and blues this week!

Thank you so much dear Lellabelle! My Bernina really is a workhorse, I think all Berninas are  And when Miss Marple got her name it was especially Margaret Rutherford I had in mind  I have to look for the BBC series! And my family thinks Miss Marple‘s job in my sewing room is quality control manager. She is taking it very seriously.

Welcome to Day 6 of the Paws for Thought theme week! Today we're focusing on these-shouldn’t-be- furbabies-because-they-are-wild-animals. Dallet is noted for his realistic drawings of wild cats, and Alice Shirley had a series of wild animals in the men’s section (bear, wolf, T. rex)

I. Love. Bears. In 2018 I took a bucket list trip to the shores of Hudson Bay to watch polar bears in the wild.
View attachment 5702055

My bucket list still includes a trip to Katmai to see the fat bears of Brooks Falls, Alaska. So of course I had to get Yellowstone Forever!
View attachment 5702053View attachment 5702047
And while bobcats aren’t really ‘big’ cats, they are bigger than most house cats and live in my neighborhood. I see them out and about and unbothered by people several times a year.
View attachment 5702054
Bobs are in Kermit Oliver’s Vie au Sauvage.
View attachment 5702058View attachment 5702059

And so, my Silken Sisters and Brothers, I ask you to show me your wild animals! Bonus points for showing real life wild animal sightings!

(*Have no fear – any SOTD is on-theme!)
YES! I. Love. Bears. too! I’ve been waiting to see your Yellowstone forever ;). My only bear sighting in Yellowstone was rather far away, but there are many attractions to the park and its an incredible visit. Churchill Manitoba and the Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia are also on my bucket list.

I am fortunate to live in an area with an abundance of wildlife, including the large kind. Bears are frequent visitors to the garden, along with the occasional cougar, and at the cabin we see moose, wolf and lynx as well. There’s something incredibly beautiful about these animals in the wild and glimpsing them is humbling.

I LOVE your collection of animal scarves - please keep them coming!
