Thanks cutie!
Such a fun whimsical design!
ohmigosh - you made me laugh! Love this jersey - plus - pink!
Thank you! The design is dizzying - where am I going, what is that there and how did I get here?
“Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again, after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground”
(Talking Heads)
Well- I have spent some time the last couple of years trying to only buy twillies that not only match my bags, but also look good worn and finally came to the conclusion that sometimes the two just do not overlap. It is actually harder for me to find ones I also like to wear than for my bags. My criteria are much tighter in terms of design for wearing. PenF looks to be fabulous either way- which is great and I get a 2-fer on it! En Liberte! I only like on my bag though I love the design....I didn't like it on me worn.
Thank you Cookie!
Haha- that's a cute find!
Thank you! It is knotted in back. Just run it through your Mors ring (or similar) and then take the ends around back to tie them. Super simple.

Beautiful Tfp!
Love these on you! The colors are fabulous and you look fabulously happy wearing them.![]()
Wowwwww - marvelous!!
Gorgeous - but ... omg - your smile is the BEST!!
So. Fabulous!!
Thank you @bunnycat, @GloWW0rM and @Cookiefiend for your nice remarks!
These are wonderful to see-- love the Reverie Pompeienne @xincinsin -- and yes, I think you may have started a wild "X marks the spot" treasure hunt here in Scarflandia!
These colors are so swoony @BlueLilac -- reminiscent of your avatar...
Sometimes you wish you could trademark the wonky ones-- or at least remember how you did what you did, right @violetkool? Meanwhile it looks wonderful...
I am really taken with all the lilac in this cw @Jereni and how you pulled it out with your top.
Um, your scarf is out of this world @Agrume and nice to see the turtlenecks back in action!
This is so wonderful-- I would never have thought to look for the dogs' names on CdD @Cookiefiend! The purple hem on this cw is sooooooo wonderful! It really sings on this pretty blouse.
You look pleased as punch @SilkCouture and who wouldn't be to have found those marvelous tennis rackets!!!
The colors on this are so fabulous on you and the bright blue of the letters so vibrant-- in any case you probably don't even have to stretch @hotgalaxy-- there's bound to be an x or a crosshatch in there somewhere!
So gorgeous!!! Omg I literally would do ANYTHING for this cw of Minuit au Faubourg that you have![]()
I love that RP. And yes, show jumping often features X-shaped jumps, known as cross rail jumps
Love that colorway.
All this Pantin City makes me make a mental note to wear mine! Looks so good
Omg stunning!!!! And looks so good with the shirt
Hm I never thought it looks like a novelty scarf new fear unlocked
These are so pretty
I agree re: twillies. I can never make them work for me, but I do have many that go with my bags. I lost the last twilly I wore around my wrist as a bracelet… maybe I can try your technique instead![]()
Excellent scarf choice @HermesEchidna, and fits the theme perfectly. Well done.Wow, your cross-stitch is so beautiful. I'm so impressed!
So pretty @LKBNOLA! I just love some blue and some plaid - this scarf is adorable.
Great scarves @xincinsin! I particularly love your Concours Hippique, which is a design I don't think I've seen before. It's really great.
Love this colorway @Redbirdhermes, happy to be sisters with you on this design! Mine might make an appearance this week as well.
This is a stunner @BlueLilac, I'm so sorry I missed out on this design, it's so beautiful.
Yay, so happy to be twins with you @Jereni. The perfect choice for this week!
So adorable @violetkool. Sur Mon Nuage is such a great design, and somedays the wonky bow is the way to go. Yours is great.
Adorable @Agrume. I've always thought this scarf was super cute, but I love, Love. your colorway. It's just perfect!
Wonderful post @Cookiefiend, and a perfect scarf for the theme. Do I spy with my little eye - a lavender hem on your scarf? Love it!
I love your colorway @Teaforparrots, just lovely on you!
This scarf is so beautiful @hotgalaxy. The 90cm was gorgeous, but I think the 140cm takes the cake. Looks fantastic on you!
Yep, absolutely @SilkCouture! Your X made of tennis rackets works perfectly, and so does your Minuit au Faubourg, both great choices!
Perfect Chorus Stellarum @AnnaE, I love this colorwaylooks perfect on you!
Wow, this is so pretty on you @Nomand! I love it against your pink top. ***chef's kiss***
Another perfectly styled Chorus Stellarum @Barbette, so beautiful! I'm really starting to regret passing on this adorable little scarf.
Gorg autumn day. Felt like orange to match the leaves. None of my pics do the foliage justice at all.Pic is nothing like in real life. So I’ll use this internet pic. It’s this w little less vibrancy.

@Jereni Fantastic discovery of the X-themed element, and you look absolutely radiant in it!Apparently I am stuck on Xs that morph into lepidoptera! SOTD is Aline Honore's Les Ailes de la Soie issued in 2014 and featuring four large X-like butterflies rendered in abstract graphics. My DH joked that I looked like someone might hang me on a wall in the Op Art wing of MoMA... (and for any scarf knot nerds out there-- I tied it in a Papillon Knot because...)

Ohhh these colors are gorgeous on you! Wow. And your arm art is so cool. You might like le chants du henne or something like. It has henna art all over it and a woman similar to your arm. It is the only scarf I can think of right now that has anything so literal similar to tattoos. I can’t quite tell if your tattoo is at all similar to the woman on scarf or not.Today's scarf is Sur Mon Nuage twilly to add a bit of interest to a casual jumper dress. Don't ask me how I got the wonky bow, I was just trying to tie a normal bow and it went wrong!

Fabulous cw! Go Springboks!
A very happy anniversary, and a beautiful gift.
I’m still not on board with baby pinks but I may just change my mind if you keep wearing themI love this design!
This shawl is special. The black is so saturated that it looks velvet.
Wonderful design.
Gorgeous set of scarves.
This is mesmerising on you! I came across the cw once and passed and never saw it again. Kicking myself…
That first cw in aubergine is so beautiful! Great collection!
So chic in every photo!
Love these reds all together. And the white border popping offSOTD was again my space travel scarf, with a somewhat asymmetrical X. It was, coincidentally, very fitting as I listened to a talk about certain medical preparations for future Mars missions today. Unusual subject for me, fascinating!

Always love seeing this beautiful color on you. Wear that chorus!! It’s perfect!View attachment 5882762I’m actually loath to wear Chorus Stellarum close to Halloween because I fear that people will think it’s some sort of novelty scarf, so I took my cue from @HermesEchidna and wore Petite Main with its X pattern.
Oh boy you found crossing tennis rackets!! I’m in trouble now. And these cw’s are amazing on youI believe I've come across an X made of tennis rackets in "Tea for Two." However, in case I'm mistaken, here's "Minuit au Faubourg" for you.View attachment 5882770View attachment 5882773

The blue on the wine top is perfection. It is a huge fall fav for me too! I almost wore it todayMy SOTD is Duo Cosmique, which happens to be one of my very favorite scarves to wear in the fall. I went with colorway 4 (Bleu Moyen/Vert/Ocre) because I love it, and you can never have too may blue scarves!I was amazed at how many Xs I found, I didn't take pictures of them all, but here are a few.View attachment 5882894View attachment 5882895View attachment 5882897
So interesting. Cool design! And I love your previous post with the horse scarf too. Unique@LKBNOLA's Faunes Lettree reminded me of a T-shirt I had 20 years ago that showed an alphabet made up of animals gymnastically posed to resemble the letters. Some were very suited for the letter, like there was a tiger on his hind legs with fore legs stretched to both sides to form a T. Others were rather obscure choices as the artist looked for animals which he/she could stretch into the shape required. There was a twisty Narwhal for NBut X was where this artist became very creative. The X was formed by two Dodo birds criss-crossed. I had to explain to my kids that the X represented eXtinct
Archive shot of the day to honour animals in danger of extinction.
View attachment 5882900
And my SOTD is Jeux de Paille, which was under my radar till we did a theme on toys about 5 years ago and @Living.la.vida.fifi identified this design as based on the game of straws or pick-up-sticks. Lots of Xs in this design.

I totally agree with this searching kind of theme making us reacquaint even more so than other themes. And is this a 140? Or triangle? It’s so warm and beautifulEnjoying all the contributions so far! I love everyone's wit with the scarves showing hidden X's. Dear scarf mistresses, can we get more fun themes like this one next year? I find it's a good way to rediscover old favourites!

Insightful thoughts in your twillies. I understand it. I don’t think I like small on my neck either. I have found I can do the small and cute design elements in my hair which has allowed me to keep twillies I would otherwise sell. And also like the small detailed on my wristA mors ring is a perfect way to wear a twilly1You may have to do like I did and just adjust how you think of them. I decided I could either just a)buy fewer of them so that I only buy ones that work on me and my purses or b)accept that there will be some that look great on my purse, but not on my neck. I find I need a lot of color blocking with alternating medium and small design elements, or elements you don't need to see the whole thing for (like Jungle Love) and less of tiny little designs for ones that I want to wear. So PenF works great! I wanted Super Silk Quest to work as a twilly because I love some of the twilly colorway, but the overall design is so small on my neck. It looks great on my purse, but not on me. Similar issue with En Liberte! in a twilly. It is the best twilly ever, but the scale is too small on the twilly to work on my neck.
Beautiful Nomad!
One of the best colorway of CS for sure!
fantastic finds MabelJo!
Love all these finds xcs!
Perfect HE! Love the colors on it!
Pegase Pop is still a favorite of mine. It has such great energy.

Amazing on the pink top! Inspiring. I always love seeing this. We don’t see this design much.Scary dream territory with my scarf today. I frequently have dreams about driving my car in impossible ways - on two wheels, up sheer cliff sides, and on roller coasters… and at some point my car falls.
Eeeeeeeeee
Promenade au Faubourg is very Escher-like - the staircases go nowhere, horses are upside down… it’s like my dream minus the crashes!
And there are lots of X’s… perhaps marking the spot for landing?
