Welcome, @Snausages, and looking forward to Bunnies and Paws week. I didn't realize there were so many bunny breeds. I'd like to add one to the list, the Jackalope, which is part jack rabbit and part antelope, and is found in the High Plains region of the Western United States.

Some of the clouds of Sur Mon Nuage sure look like rabbits. Here they are staring at their favorite treat of carrots.

View attachment 5698232

There are a couple of pawed dogs on the scarf as well.

My scarf of the day is Sur Mon Nuage tied to show the rabbits. I didn't notice that adorable pink heart cloud between them until I had the scarf tied.

Happy Chinese New Year and may the Year of the Rabbit bring peace, patience and great luck to all.
Bunny clouds! This design has so many fun surprises @Redbirdhermes. Sending the same lovely wishes your way for the New Lunar Year.
What a delightful introduction, Snausages! And many thanks to @xincinsin for her wonderful hosting last week.
Are the last two photos Wild Singapore?
Been thinking of where I have bunnies on my scarves and you, dear twin, have shown them on Premier Chant. I look forward to checking out my collection this week for all sorts of domestic and wild creatures, great and small. Forces de la Vie has a sweet hare:

Edited to rescind my question, @Snausages. I see it is DuJA - of course, bunnies! A beautiful cw. And little animals that I adore :hbeat:.
Lovely gav @Karenska! Christine Henry is a good bunny source!
Happy New Lunar Year to everyone!
I am not on a theme but here is my SOTD from last night. Taking one of my Samorais to a jazz concert at Jazz at Lincoln Center last night:smile:

View attachment 5698427
This is stunning and you look gorgeous @Ashanti_Rose -- I hope the concert was wonderful. Love Jazz at Lincoln Center.
TY @Agrume !

This is the ubiquitous cottontail which appears all four seasons where I live

I have a love/less-love relationship with these guys. They are super cute and I’m happy to have them nestle in my shrubs, but I wish they’d stop eating my flowers. So far they’ve eluded 20+ years of spaniels and I hope they maintain their winning streak.

And Kermit Oliver, with his love of Texas, also included them in Vie au Savauge in front of the turtle and armadillo

Beautiful cw @Snausages...
Dear @Snausages, thank you so much for such a wonderful and informative intro to a delightful week on SOTD!

Happy Chinese/Lunar New Year, everyone! Being the Year of the Rabbit, I will accept the invitation to begin with rabbits… So, here is my latest Hermès scarf, and one that it’s perfect for the theme as the illustration contains a bunny, a puppy and a cat: Tea for Two

Here is a flatlay showing the bunny to the left as well as the Hermès lucky red envelopes

All great @Living.la.vida.fifi -- so fun to find the bunny on Cuvee. I was happy to see your Orphee bunny too and your new Tea for Two is wonderful on you. Congratulations!
I had to check. Yep, fangs on Bunnicula. And, glowing eyes.

 I remember this one well @xincinsin and @Redbirdhermes!
My kids read it too, and mutter about vampiric bunnies when our veg in the fridge look limp

I was quite surprised to learn that in Vietnam, they celebrate the Year of the Cat rather than the Rabbit. I remember there was a song by that name. The big cat scarf which I find difficult to wear is Dallet's Panthera Pardus. The panther is majestic but hard to feature when you wear it. Here in a 90 and 2 gavs.
View attachment 5698568
Very clever idea with the two gavs @xincinsin -- I almost used this strategy with Robe Legere for similar reasons-- thought two gavs might yield more flowers and less space... Your Pantheras are all beautiful. Nothing compares with Dallet's magnificent cats
I have 2 scarfs with bunnies. Both are from Kermit Oliver and both are framed. So I can’t wear them. Here they are, from “ the time when nothing is real” and” Texas wild life”. Speaking of what scarf to wear for my 1st work day of the CNY, I am debating between the red kachinas ( which I wore last year for CNY) and the gold Zenobie. Both are lucky colors for CNY. What do you think?

I am on team Zenobie for this one @supermommy101 -- so beautiful, auspicious and festive with your lovely jewelry.
I was searching for bunnies in my scarf collection and found more than I expected! Many of them are designs from recent years and there are some dupicates. It also happen to be three of my favourite, current scarf artists!

Sur Mon Nuage - Dmitri Rybaltchenko

Sous le Charme d'Orphee by Alice Shirley - 90 double face and twillies

Bonus rabbits on the twilly in the same design. I just wear twillys on my bags.

Tea for two - Jonathan Burton

The bunny was one of the reason why I had to have this scarf in my collection. It's too cute!!

Beautiful @Naessi-- I always love your selections and I am your twin on that gorgeous cw of the charming Tea for Two!
Happy CNY!!
Some bunnies from scarves I will not wear this week. Jardin de soie gavs. And pony express. I do not have many scarves with bunnies to my surprise. I love them so much, and have had them as pets. I was surprised I couldn’t find one on animapolis.

Welcome to Day 2 of the Paws for Thought theme week! Today we're focusing on kitties*! Housecats. Kittycats. Pussycats. Tomcats. Grimalkins. There are somewhere between fifteen and 73 breeds of cat, depending on your source. These include the fluffy Persian, the sleek Siamese, the tail-less Manx and the hairless Sphynx. The smallest breed is the Singapura, which weighs under 5 pounds. The largest breed is the Maine Coon (aka fluff monster) which can weigh as much as 25 pounds.

There are many famous cats: Morris, Grumpy, Smudge, Puss in Boots, Garfield, Sylvester, the Cheshire Cat.

Man’s love of feline companionship is not new. In ancient Egypt, cats were sacred animals, and often mummified at the sanctuary of the cat goddess Bastet or entombed with their owners’ remains. Abraham Lincoln had two cats, one which was fed with a gold fork, and the other which was reputed to be smarter than Lincoln’s whole cabinet. France launched a cat into space (Felicette, who was chosen for her calm disposition, survived the flight), and tradition has a mouser with Britain’s Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street.

Kitties are featured prominently in Daphne Duchesne’s Les Chats, Christine Henry’s Cave Felem, and Florence Manlik’s Le Chat Carre.

8E6E0CD8-A9D6-492B-BDD6-FCC676028CC6.jpegI went searching my scarf drawer for a good ol’ grimalkin, and found them in Pierre Marie’s La Maison des Carres, and Dimitri Rybaltchenko’s Sur Mon Nuage.

And so, my Silken Sisters and Brothers, I ask you to show me your kitties! Bonus points for showing your real life catkins!

(*Have no fear – wild cats will be featured later this week! And remember, any SOTD is on-theme!)

Oh, good morning and thank you @Snausages-- what great scarves and examples. I wish we could have cats at my house but everyone is so allergic (including me!) so we have to admire from afar and love our hypo-allergenic dogs! If I did have a cat, it might be tempted to nestle into one of my orange boxes and become as flat as the little kitty on my SOTD: Le Chat Carre!

And now I’m off on a tangent of killer rabbits, with Monty Python’s lethal lagomorph

This would of course be less humorous had they featured a panther. A lot of times I feel like the personal meaning of a scarf is the wearer’s private secret. I hope your Pardus doesn’t feel slighted this week!

Contributing some Chats. I have a weakness for kitties and BIN this design whenever I find it at a reasonable price point.

A pic of Table - overhead view showing her rectangular figure :giggle: Also, there are entire websites devoted to the loaf form of dogs and cats. I just discovered them today! And fell off my chair when I saw this photo of an extremely loaflike corgi!

How fun! I am twins with you on Duo and sisters on the Beach and will have to in search of bunnies @Coco2606.

Oh, so happy to enable/inspire! I think the blues are spectacular on this and I find double sided scarves to be very "throw-and-go" (no wrong side to worry about tying!)-- especially this one @Lellabelle!

I just love the vignettes on this Quatre Saisons @Croisette7... Perfect!

Love the playful bunny on that wonderful Juane colorway.

Lovely bun-buns in such realistic art!

What beautiful, festive images… and the most perfect scarf!

The best bunnies! Beautiful to mark the Year of the Rabbit

What a wonderful and informative intro! And, an appropriate and beautiful parade of silks! You own so many special ones!

Such a beauty!

Delightful graphics and perfect for CNY and for the week’s theme

Perfect and so beautiful

Sigh… Simply amazing!

I am your twin in this sumptuous piece! Looks amazing on you

A very special silk… Looks so beautiful and serene in this lovely CW
Many thanks LKB, MAGJES, Snausages and fifi!

Happy Lunar Year of the Rabbit (or Cat) silkies! Lots of fUn furry deets and regretfully I released my Zodiac Rabbit scarf because I hoped to collect all the zodiac pochettes and H stopped producing my zodiac year (Ram) and DD’s (Year of the Monkey). But, the lovely winter to spring design Ballade de Heian makes up for the loss!

one of my fav furry creatures silks of the north: la Vie du grand Nord. Honore captured huskies, Polar bears and creatures with such sweet faces.

Yes! Whether it’s to armour ourselves against adversity with Samourais or L’egides de Mars, laugh at the superficiality of the modern world with Hermes Story, find a moment of grounding and serenity with Siestes au paradis, adorn ourselves with Parures des sables, or channel our inner queen with Zenobie, there’s a scarf for every occasion. A secret message for the wearer, and perhaps the initiated few who share our silky obsession.

It would make a really fun theme for next year, perhaps?
