What a lovely origami design (kind of meta!). Now on my wishlist!
Before boarding the plane… no photo yet of SOTD, earlier this week Pyhthéas (x 3), DuJA (x 3) and SD (3 different formats).

Absolutely divine!
This week is about resistance :bagslap: and capitulation :whiteflag:
Which is also the story of this design: a complete comedy of lust, indecision and FOMO.

When H first released Clair de Lune, I love love loved the design ... BUT ... yes, there was a but. I find 140 silks very difficult to use. Too much silk for me and I get swamped. And it was round - would I look like I'm wearing a tablecloth? My SA showed it to me and I sighed over it but reluctantly decided not to buy it because it was a lot of money to spend on a scarf that I would likely never wear. My SA agreed and swept it away (the hot pink cw, I recall).

Then Clair de Lune was released as a double-sided 90. Oh yes! But it was during the pandemic and there was a run on the scarves here. Gone were the days I could hem and haw over various cws. My SA made an executive decision and reserved a cw for me. There was zero choice because all the pieces of Clair de Lune were reserved.

The round version still haunted my mind because every now and then, a scarfie here would post a modshot that made me second-guess my decision. On Monday, I was browsing a local resellers inventory because I was considering selling to them. And lo and behold, they had the round scarf, like new, for half the retail price. I bought it and picked it up the next day. Because at half-price, yes, I can afford to try it out.

This is me swamped in silk :faint:

This is me with a very very controlled Clair de Lune. I need to find something in-between.

The round looks lovely! Excellent knotting!
I do have some multiples at home-- notably my truest and earliest scarf loves Parures de Samurais and Ex Libris en Kimonos, which I shall try to post when I return home. In the meantime, this last season was ruinous for me in terms of designs so here are some multiples I recently acquired... and thank you for indulging my catch-up post!

Thank you for steering me to Lanternes! That RL gav
My story is almost identical to yours! I loved the idea of the original but not the price, size or shape so was a reluctant “no” from me. Then I lusted after the double-face in the colour you have (and LKB too?) but couldn’t get it so settled for the pink/red version…

Looks wonderful with that striped top!
Marble Twilly! First time actually wearing a Twilly so wasn’t sure how it would look, but I’m pleased!

Well done! And welcome to the slippery slope of twillies:spiderweb:
Like many of us, the moment I saw Chorus Stellarum I knew it would be a multiple. I've already worn my pink.

Today I'm introducing my gray.
Chorus Stellarum is my scarf of the day.

I see multiple scarfies with multiples of this! All fabulous

See… you already had the perfect pieces to match it! Those tights/stockings are amazing, by the way!

This would be a knockout with dark jeans and a plain white tee, and very striking with a plain fitted dress in yellow, cream, navy or teal. That‘s both ends of the sartorial spectrum covered!

If you have any lingering doubts about the yellow, I find a little touch of lip colour can sometimes help balance the effect of yellow close to the face. We have some lip colour experts here who may have suggestions ;). Well done for rocking the yellow and thanks for sharing your styling pics
Thank you!!!!!

The tights are by Marie Antoilette. It’s a French hosiery company in Lyon.

My love of Sur un Tapis Volant started with a visit to the H flagship store in Paris when I enquired if they had the design and the SA pulled out the twill in every cw! I settled on the orange twill and subsequently added the GM twin, 3 PMs + the blue twill.
My photos are unable to do this design justice.

3 PMs, unusually for me 2 have been worn!

It's all about the striking border.
A couple of years ago I was on a London bus when it stopped at the traffic lights and a lady crossed the road wearing this twill. I did a triple take and was on the quest to add it to my collection, thankfully I got lucky.

Dear scarfies, have been MIA due to family matters and just plain avoiding social media for a bit! Slowly getting caught up again and visiting recent threads on the latest and upcoming scarf issues.

I haven’t been wearing too many silks since working from home but now fall weather gets me to bring out those pretty colorful squares. I nearly wanted to release many over the summer as they have been languishing in the tansu, but now seeing them I feel happy wearing one or two again.

As for theme week, I initially avoided the designs of Kermit Oliver with the seriousness of his subjects and realistic renderings, but I grew to appreciate his artistry as I became more knowledgeable about his work and his relationship with Hermes.

I’m grateful to have a few of his designs. They all depict Native American or wildlife, both subjects that are dear to me. Today it is Les Danses des Indians.

Have a great weekend!

Les Legendes De L'Arbre - 2017… I was in Las Vegas at a work event at the Bellagio and peaked into the Hermes shop “just to look”. That I walked out with De L'Arbre in Rose Vif/Framboise/Bleu still surprises me, as I’m a blue girl at heart. Much later in 2020, I saw the periwinkle blue/chartreuse 1998 on a reseller site. It only took a moment to decide.

Then later when it hit the 70’s and too hot for csgm, I wore my Rialto of which I have 3 in total. Never have done a chou chou? Knot w a 90. I usually do it w a gav. I don’t mind it, but it’s a much bigger ball!
