Three watery blues today--
Starting with the stunning Rocaille-- shells on a blue field. This reminds me of the Sailors' Valentines on display at the Whaling Museum on Nantucket. My earrings are special too. They contain sand from the beach in front of my home!

In my youth I was a competitive swimmer and spent many many hours in the pool. Practice was hard work but the pool was also a happy place in which to get lost in thought while letting the body do its rhythmic pounding back and forth. So I was thrilled to find this Beverly Hills in silk twill earlier this year. The mousseline is also beautiful but for me the watery deliquescence of the silk is TDF.

My DH and I sheltered during the first year and a half of the pandemic at our home on Cape Cod Bay. We do not usually spend winters here and it was a very beautiful experience: austere, cold, grey, white and blustery blue. Not unlike this cw of the beautiful De la Mer au Ciel (sisters with @Forever Orange and @Cookiefiend and cousin to @citykitty24's gorgeous shawl).

Oooh, you describe that experience on Cape Cod Bay so intriguingly. I used to have the Beverly Hills scarf but sold it. Then, I was more hung up and limited on colors and thought the orange red didn't work for me. It's a beautiful scarf and the water image is so pretty.

First, let me just express the fervent hope that any TPF scarfies who are or were in Hurricane Ian's path are safe and secure from the storm. The pictures and reports in the news are devastating-- sending wishes for relief for all affected...
It is my dream to double-twin with you (and @Nomad, I believe) on this red hemmed cw @Karenska! Note to self: red sweater for Pytheas!
I couldn’t agree more with your sentiments, Lkb. Such terrible destruction, I can barely watch the news, it is so upsetting. My brother in Venice is safe but he’s not had power or service; I anxiously wait to hear from him.

I hope you acquire you LVdP in taupe and red. :hugs:

Another shopping outing, another oldie that's perfect for the Fall. Fructidor is probably over 40 years old at this point, but one of the first Hermes scarves I ever acquired.

Lovely, lovely, lovely! Your Une Rose pour Alma is so beautiful. ❤️❤️❤️

Good Morning! I am closing out the week with my most on-theme option. A scarf with the moon (which governs tides-- hence ocean), planets AND it is blue: Clair de Lune making its way from dark to light :giggle: Thank you to everyone and most of all to @bunnycat for graciously hosting us even when she was battling a sinus infection and a long to-do list! The blues this week were celestial, watery, bold and utterly beautiful... :flowers: :flowers: :flowers:

Edited to do this as a collage and to credit @Yoon daily scarf for the "Vertical Chain d'Ancre Knot" tutorial.

Wow! :faint: This design in a moussie is Everything @Cookiefiend. Congratulations! And how beautiful to pair it with lavender...
Squeezing in a late entry to the blues fest, before we change themes. View attachment 5621101 I have a lot of blue in the scarf chest, but none more blue than this beautiful Three Graces, a surprise gift from DH earlier this year. He fell deeply in love with the indigo fonce, as did I.

Thoughts and well wishes for everyone affected by hurricane Ian; stay safe. And hoping you feel better soon @bunnycat and anyone else who has been unwell recently.
This indigo fonce is TDF @Lellabelle!
Chilly in the office today. Grand Carosse Royal to the rescue! Navy blue with horses in ghostly pale blue.

This is my fave cw of this slightly wacky scarf @xincinsin -- they are watching out for you  ...

Another wonderful outfit and beautiful vintage scarf @CTLover!

Thank you @Maedi-- perhaps one advantage to coming to collecting late is my "I will try anything" attitude :winkiss:

These are all wonderful @ajaxbreaker but that Un Rose Pour Alma adnt eh Quatre Chevaux in the blue with the special green hem are *chef's kiss* Love seeing a design we don't often have the chance to admire...
A quick addition of three SOTD this week. Including Jardin Anglais because we are seeing our grandson today and he likes to find the animals in my scarves. So the deer is front and center. And Savana Dance in the garden and my very old Plumes.View attachment 5621641View attachment 5621643View attachment 5621644
Simply gorgeous as always @frenchgirl and how ever did you get Savana Dance to look so compact? My grand-little loves to look at the animals on my scarves, too. Double the pleasure for us!

I bought this scarf in the late 1970's with money I earned working for my Dad and a Waitress. One of the first scarves I ever bought. To this day, I still love it.
I love memories like that, as well the special items and gifts we cherish through the years. One scarf I will never part with is a Celtic themed square my mom brought for me from Shannon Airport in 1968. I also have several gifts given to me when I was an adolescent. My cousin from Buenos Aires gave me a little snakeskin wallet and a sterling silver bangle when I was twelve, both of which I use today, the bangle regularly. I have earrings my grandmother and aunts gave me years ago. Cheers to past gifts and purchases!
