Until this season came along, I had collected all but one of Alice Shirley's 90 designs. The one missing was the elusive and expensive English Garden. I finally decided to add it to my collection, and when I opened the box and tried it on, I found myself completely smitten. I finally understand why this gorgeous design is so popular.

My scarf of the day is Dans un Jardin Anglais.

Thank you @Agrume, @Forever Orange and @Teaforparrots for the Sieste love...
Kyoto Marble silk muffler from an earlier season with no bee jacquard.

Oh, my gosh @Redbirdhermes, this is so beautiful-- just lovely with the purple and now that I am actually in possession of a marble scarf I can totally attest to the breathtaking quality...
Not sure if this fits the theme or if it’s just The Scarf I Can’t Shut Up About. ;)

 as @bunnycat said--- JB will always work @Teaforparrots!!
No lies detected at all... Beautiful on you LKB.
Absolutely beautiful mouss in a new to me cw. A bonus to have an encouraging DH!
Thank you @bunnycat and @orchard!
Off-topic, but back today with Jeu de Soie.

What a beautiful combination on you @Awillow! Always happy when you are back among the scarfies... Miss seeing you and your beauties :hugs:
My slide down the orange slope started with falling head over heels for the anthracite cw of Mythiques Phoenix - a season too late. So my first phoenix was actually the teal and vanilla cw.
View attachment 5609649
It was followed swiftly by other cws...

Another coup de foudre design which I missed was C'est la Fete. The first time I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I was extremely lucky to pick up four of the 70s, and a fellow tpfer offered me the embroidered CSGM.

It amuses me that H and some of their scarf artists have a running gag or a thematic link in their designs. I look for Kluska in JB's designs and follow the adventures of Super H. I flip H ties over just to see the H groom and carriage in all sorts of antics.
View attachment 5609663
I see Mr Bones on C'est La Fete as Nomura's take on the groom with a heaping ladleful of myth and legend added. Today, as I boarded the plane, Mr Bones and his lady friend accompanied me. Chorus Stellarum echoed in my soul as we soared into the skies.
View attachment 5609647
Always smile when seeing your "jungle chickens" @xincinsin but how amazing to have added that embroidered CSGM ClF to your already amazing collex! Love seeing the little humorous touches on the ties also...
This exceptional piece still makes me breathless when I take it out to put it on. Just handling the sparkly beads and double thickness of the mousseline is a luxurious treat. Surprisingly, Snickers was passing though as I took the pic so I grabbed her and she didn't make a play for this scarf. Maybe she is still mad I clipped her claws yesterday because she tried to climb to my shoulders by going up my front. Owww. Still, she looks adorable, and all was forgiven on my end after we shortened those little retractable needles a bit.

View attachment 5609778
I am hyperventilating just looking at this post @bunnycat but I am relieved her nails are clipped for your sake AND for that stunner around your neck!
Lkb, as you know I love this on you so much that I went and hunted it down!
:hugs: @Awillow it is a beauty we got our hands on!
Beautiful everyone!

This beauty leaves me pretty breathless. Guepards:

An absolute favorite Dallet design of mine and it is surely breathtaking in this format @Pirula!
Opening an orange box w a brand new scarf from H.com leaves me breathless haha. GTN in this cw was the ‘one’ I wanted from that season. It was so beautifully shiny in the box with so many of my fav colors with bonus graphics that I was left breathless. I find some scarves are more shiny than others.

Hahaha. Breathtaking just to get the mail! A beautiful tie @Nomad! So happy we are twins on this one-- I feel the same way about the architectural details and the sheen on this one is extra special, too... Another lovely look for you!
I wasn’t intending on getting Sur Mon Nuage but when I saw it in store, I had to pick my jaw off the floor. I still can’t help trying to discover all the adorable whimsical details. As close to being breathless as I ever have been with a scarf!

Just stunning on you with the marigold top @Redbirdhermes!
It was love at first sight when I saw these glorious corners with the bright contrasting persimmon stripe. I know not everyone loves a wide or emphasized border but the dramatic effect works well for me.

As soon as I saw the theme for this week, I knew I was going to post Sieste au Paradis. I absolutely am in love with @xincinsin's stunning cw (and love to add that one) but I am overjoyed to have found this breathtakingly beautiful silk in two different formats. From its oneiric and transporting title to the amazing details in the border and the otherwordly dreamscape of cliffs and trees, this one has it all for me. Never fails to leave me slightly weak from the beauty...

I am a sucker for a delicate design, with loads of details, and a design that leaves me breathless with awe - how do they do what they do? :shrugs:

On my wish list! It has so many happy dogs!

A few weeks ago, I had a delightful visit with a scarfie friend. She very generously packed some designs from her collection for me to see and even try, which was great fun. One design that she wore left me completely breathless. I immediately went on a hunt though I was doubtful I would be able to find it. On a whim I checked the "close-outs" section of a reseller whose site I like and trust and there it was! So this beauty is both breathtaking to look at and was a breathtakingly quick search to boot! Les Lumieres de Paris by Natsuno Hidaka. This looks as mesmerizing as any stained glass window-- blues to get lost in for days...

Ha thanks. I don’t remember names of knots or who did them. So can’t help there. I folded it in a triangle. Took one of the short ends in my hands facing up north, horizontally in my hands. I accordion folded it. Held the accordion end in one hand and wrapped the scarf around my neck. I took the opposite pointy end and wrapped it around the end of the accordion in a bova knot?? (The knot that wraps around and can slip end thru that wrap into a knot) I didn’t pull down the tip of the accordion to lengthen it down and spread it out or anything like I usually do. I didn’t fluff up the fabric on the other side like usual either. I tried to keep the whole scarf as tight as possible all wrapped up. Hope makes sense.
And @Stylehound made a comment about my cotton pareo last week having balance with my 3/4 shirt sleeves that got me thinking. There IS a balance that hits a sweet spot with the entire outfit and a scarf. Mind blown. I had a tank top on w GTN so I felt I had to keep the volume of the tie small since the amount of my fabric in my top was so small. But the pizazz of the accordion end was needed on plain shirt tank ;-)

Xcs, these are all exquisite. I know ClF is not everyone's cup of tea, but I adore it! How lucky are you to have found four 70s?!

Cookie, I have not seen Robe Legere in person yet. This cw is stunning!
