As soon as I saw the theme for this week, I knew I was going to post Sieste au Paradis. I absolutely am in love with @xincinsin's stunning cw (and love to add that one) but I am overjoyed to have found this breathtakingly beautiful silk in two different formats. From its oneiric and transporting title to the amazing details in the border and the otherwordly dreamscape of cliffs and trees, this one has it all for me. Never fails to leave me slightly weak from the beauty...

Both gorgeous of course! This design, and many scarves this week, are worthy of grail status.

Insane heat wave in SoCal the last couple weeks means this is the first scarf of the new school year for me! Eleftheria 01 tied to minimize the lettering; the details on this scarf are incredible, one might even say breathtaking!
great colour pairing!
Sometimes the journey from seeing scarf to clicking on scarf to purchasing scarf is near instantaneous. This scarf had that “wow” factor for me. Shown with some late summer flowers I didn’t deadhead because the goldfinches are eating the seeds

This is a wonderful design, and I understand, I love those colours.
Beautiful colors and a lovely tribute!

Agreed!

Now I’m asking myself what the other colors were…

Pls add me to the color swatch convo!!!

There is a light blue/beige color too. The extra wide has a dachshund on the inside so if it shows up in pink I may indulge

This is so darn pretty! This group is making me lust after this (whales and bears and borders and hems!)

I could get lost in the details of this! Kicking myself for letting go of the blue/yellow. Is this the one with white letters?

Such a pretty color combo!
Thank you, Snausages, and indeed, it is a charming design with all its details.
That red hem is fabulous!
Thank you, Maedi!
Thank you for the Faubourg love!

I love the white hem on this-- so unexpected and yes, I think it is a pretty breathtaking example of H color magic in that the colors absolutely amp up the whimsey and charm of the design. And your bracelet is the perfect lagniappe @Snausages!

This is so beautiful-- both the scarf and the sentiment @Ali-bagpuss. I would love to find this design with its harmonious colors but I think I am fated to admire it on others...

This is stunning @Redbirdhermes -- really a breathtaking beauty but you have made it shine with your perfectly matched top and your earrings! They are so lovely and really brighten your face as well as highlighting a beautiful detail color from the scarf. This is why I love to study your mod shots-- your pairings with earrings and jewelry and colors are always on point. Such a small detail and such a big impact!

Thank you both @Nomad and @HoneyLocks!

I am super envious @Agrume-- this is so lovely with the parchment colors and the bright red hem! This scarf design piqued my imagination too and I absolutely had to have it. I wonder which of three of the five you have kept? And what a happy problem to have :winkiss: !

I am your sister on this @labelo and it is indeed a breathtakingly detailed scarf-- it was so difficult to chose a colorway and to do so without being able to see them in person made it even harder. I think your pink/green beauty is closest to the Greek LE and I like seeing your tie to minimize the letters though I don't mind the way the blocks of color break up the floral field when it is tied...

This one is a real beauty and it is perfection on you @Teaforparrots! Bonus for that adorable elephant outline only you know is there when it is tied...

Thank you so much @Marie-the-Mary, @Forever Orange ( ) and @laurenad!
Thank you, LKBNOLA, and indeed, it is a happy problem. I think only people here understand the slight differences. I have the Marseille SE, which is mainly blue (with a bit of yellow in the border), a very similar one with a warm yellow as hem, and now this red-hemmed version.

Both are wonderful. The second reminds me of the blue hour after a quiet day at the sea.

There must be a joke that starts off "A Scarfie walks into an H Store..." and the punchline is "and leaves with a wallet-buster she didn't know she needed". I went to the boutique at Short Hills last spring to "see" some new season arrivals. Just looking. Right? NOT on my Approved Purchase List. True. A design that I already owned in three (three!?!) gorgeous 90s. Hello? But there it was on the counter  and then it was around my shoulders :hbeat: and before I could blink...it was in the box, the bag and on the way home. Reader, I bought it. Faubourg Tropical aka Coup de Foudre :faint:

No lies detected at all... Beautiful on you LKB.

Not sure if this is breathtaking in the traditional sense, but I love dogs, pink, and fun hems so when I saw Woof Woof online I knew I had to have it. The dogs are hidden but I know they are there! And new bangle to go with

The bright shiny colors are so fantastic on this one! I adore it tied with the waterfall of white hem.

Not on theme at all but following the death of our dear Queen and in tribute I wore my LE scarf commemorating the queen’s 90th birthday

A beautiful commemorative.
I always find Tapis Persans to be breathtaking.

It certainly is breathtaking. This one is made to shine in moussie form.
Le voyage de Pytheas - the title already intrigued me. An explorer, he went off to chart a world at the borders between known and unknown. Much as a researcher does, too. So I needed this scarf, and this is the 5th colourway I wore today (2 rehomed, so I am at 3 at the moment), appropriately on a day I had an academic function.

Breathtaking indeed with that killer red hem.

The colors in this one are a true stunner.

I have recently been lured over to the mousseline side of H beauty by several amongst you Who Shall Remain Nameless. I saw a beautiful post by our dear @Living.la.vida.fifi on her instagram account about Offrandes d'un Jour-- a design which already left me breathless but I was unprepared for the perfection of that particular design in this particular format. My DH thinks it is the most stunning piece in my collection and though I have not owned it very long or worn it very often, it never fails to elicit approving comments and even gasps of admiration when I do. It is so beautiful to me that I can't even bear to tie it! (and coming from a compulsive knot experimenter y'all know that is saying a lot :winkiss: )
View attachment 5608654

Absolutely beautiful mouss in a new to me cw. A bonus to have an encouraging DH!

Our theme this week is practically tailormade for us! How often do we gasp at the beauty of a scarf or :faint: when we see a scarfie's modshot? Let's bring out our stunners this week!

À bout de souffle

Stunning scarves which leave you Breathless

I can still recall the first time I grabbed the phone and called the boutique. "Do you have Sieste au Paradis? It's the scarf with the picture of cliffs. No, I don't know the cw. It's in blue and red." The helpful SA ran with my barebones description and found it for me!
View attachment 5608456
It doesn't happen all that often, but every now and then, a scarf will seize my attention and overwhelm me with desire. Sometimes, it's because of the design or the colour. Sometimes it's because of a single element in the design (ahem - bunnies...). Oftentimes it's because of the format (I'm partial to 70s and silk/cotton). Occasionally it's because a scarfie here wore it and stole my breath away!

A couple of scarves which I bought for a lark and stunned me when they arrived. Neither are grails or special editions or even hard to find. But when I opened the package, I fell in love. Their common denominator: both are jacquards.

Jouvence, which I wanted because it was one of the few designs created by Leila Menchari. The fireworks jacquard is tdf! And the peachy orange cw was surprisingly pleasant.
View attachment 5608454
The other jacquard is Plumes et Grelots with a holly jacquard. I like this shade of blue, but it frequently doesn't photograph true. So I have bought scarves before which I thought were this steel blue but turned out to be quite different from what I expected. This was not only the blue I wanted, it bowled me over with the luxe silk jacquard and the delicately detailed design!

Some of the scarves posted on this thread leave me breathless.
I can see why you fell for Sieste au Paradis, Jouvence and Plumes et Grelots

Not sure if this fits the theme or if it’s just The Scarf I Can’t Shut Up About. ;)

it always does, i think, too, and I like the purple!

Beautiful autumn colours, and as always I love your knot. Good to see yo back, Awillow!

My slide down the orange slope started with falling head over heels for the anthracite cw of Mythiques Phoenix - a season too late. So my first phoenix was actually the teal and vanilla cw.
PicsArt_11-20-02.45.05.jpg
It was followed swiftly by other cws...

Another coup de foudre design which I missed was C'est la Fete. The first time I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I was extremely lucky to pick up four of the 70s, and a fellow tpfer offered me the embroidered CSGM.
PicsArt_01-07-12.29.55.jpg
It amuses me that H and some of their scarf artists have a running gag or a thematic link in their designs. I look for Kluska in JB's designs and follow the adventures of Super H. I flip H ties over just to see the H groom and carriage in all sorts of antics.
Picsart_22-09-14_01-14-33-780.jpg
I see Mr Bones on C'est La Fete as Nomura's take on the groom with a heaping ladleful of myth and legend added. Today, as I boarded the plane, Mr Bones and his lady friend accompanied me. Chorus Stellarum echoed in my soul as we soared into the skies.

I'm with you on the CS. Still searching for a second color way. And what a lucky break on the embroidered CSGM C'est la Fete.

I am a sucker for a delicate design, with loads of details, and a design that leaves me breathless with awe - how do they do what they do? :shrugs:
Yesterday’s scarf - Robe Legere - with the tiny, lovely flower petals in the shape of a horse and scattered about.

Both beauties! And surprisingly, they both feature orange and some grey, which always seems to be a winning combination. Coco looks like she's sayin' "I wasn't ready for my picture yet, mom!"
