Hi dear Scarfies, I‘m still on holiday and don‘t have as much time to take part in this thread as I‘d like to. Buuut, I wanted to let you know that I will receive some scarf mail around friday that will make me very very happy. Can‘t wait to show you my new happy scarf!!!! (I got it thanks to all of you enablers here…..)

My SOTD in warm Florida weather is my Tapis Persans moussie in these bright and sunny colors… It always lifts my spirit


You know what else always makes me happy? Hearts! They so festive, especially the bright red ones on Jungle Love Love


This riot of saturated happy shades and shapes always makes me happy: L’Ivresse de l’Infini


My SOTD yesterday was this drapey and easy to wear Couvertures jersey silk triangle. A very upbeat pop of color

Well, I have two favorite teams and must confess that I picked the CWs to wear on game day… My fav is my turquoise and orange Ex Libris a Carreaux. I also have Beverly Hills as a runner up…
And, to wear to my college alma mater games: the orange and green La Danse des Indiens and Reve des Escargots


That star jacquard is so festive! And, I’ve always admired your electric Brides a Gris Gris… Still on my wishlist

Colours not very much typical for my collection, but the design makes me smile - out of the Fairytale series (4 contes sur soie), La princesse au petit pois. I remember having seen it here, too - on @xincinsin?

Well, after over a week of t-shirt weather (really!) the temperature plummeted 50 degrees in just a few hours Saturday night. While I was thrilled to be able to drag out a CSGM, my sinuses are NOT happy with the weather change at all. So I promptly pulled out my most cheerful riot of color Danse des Amazons to combat the cold. I don't have the moxie of our @Redbirdhermes , so this is me INDOORS when it is 26F outside....Pictures of what I looked like outside were verboten....

If I were a bird, I’d be a barn swallow - I love the way they fly so freely. One year - when I had all of my sons home for Thanksgiving - after dinner they sat around the table and sang “I Like Birds” by The Eels. It’s a favorite memory.

awe love your story. A scarf I love seeing on you when you post it, so it went on my list, but failed on me for some reason.

Well @Cookiefiend reminded us of the happiness of watching birds in flight and flight has so many happy associations! Flying birds and hordes, flying machines, and magic carpets... I fell in love with the charming little horses of Galop Volant and recently acquired another very happy cw of this design. As @scarf1 noted, yellow is a happy color and this goldenrod just makes me smile. Then for this season, a charming 70 titled Carres Volants was issued and I just had to have it! So here are some happy little horses and some happy little flying scarf vignettes:

Thank you. I'm still wearing the Carnaval but added a few layers for serious outdoor play. Scarf is a wooly OSKA from several seasons ago. I finally purchased an H losange to wear outside, but I'm not ready to subject it to all the velcro snagging it will get from my parka. GS is 17 months old today.

Sotd. Not an intended ‘happy’ one but as we all feel, all h scarves makes us happy lol. And any nature scarf is happy to me for sure.
Like @Redbirdhermes and @bunnycat have talked about the weather, it is a ‘feels’ like 17 degrees here lol. Brrr for many. But I dont like bundling unless absolutely necessary. Freezing wind and having to walk a lot outside are the only winter coat cases for me. So this is my winter uniform. Layers w a sweater duster.

Well crapola, multi quote isn't working for me. Just as well - it would have been a mega MQ. Loving everyone's happy birds and happy brights and happy moussies and happy cashmeres and happy grails and SEs! Everyone's happiness is contagious!

I am happy that it's finally cashmere weather, and today I donned "Galaxy" which happily reminds me of my late father, and has a happy-making contrast hem. And I'm one of those people that sees faces in inanimate objects, and looking at my photo there is a construction beam that looks like it's laughing so that made me happy too.

Hello to 2022 Scarflandia!

I stayed up late to start this thread early!

First of all - Happy New Year to everyone out in Scarfland!

Second of all, in this, the year of all things culture 2022, this first theme managed to land squarely in all the right spots on the board for the name. I totally wasn't thinking about the day of the week this landed on when I suggested the song related to this week's theme but here we are! A very happy coincidence for our first theme of 2022.

02 Jan 2022 Get the Party Started: Let’s celebrate with our happiest scarves!


Let's kick off our culture year with some modern culture and Pink's rowdy, happy (and still very danceable) song that gave us this week's theme.

Let's explore our happiest scarves. I had to think about that one for a little. What makes a scarf a happy scarf for me? The easiest answer I had for the question was subject matter or colors.

For me Grand Prix du Faubourg and Animapolis fit neatly in to happy scarf land (probably for many of us) with the busy details of races, running, animals and general festivities and usually lot of bright or cheerful coloring (or, as in my case- an overabundance of pink).

Another happy "subject matter" scarf for me would be anything with cats tends to get placed in the "happy scarf" file, like Baobab Cat....

But also, as I pondered a little more, I found I do have a (small- wish it were BIGGER) subset of scarves in my collection that I tend to think of as "happy" because I got a smoking' deal on them...

Panoplie Equestre will ALWAYS be a happy scarf for me for this exact reason (plus I adore the lime green with the navy...)

It’s absolutely gorgeous, HermesHope, and so perfectly paired with your sweater and scarf ring which looks suspiciously like mine. Mine comes from Marina in California. Exact same purply navy color. You look well and it is so good to see you! Happy New Year to you and all of us.

After not actively participating for the past few years due to work pressures, etc., I thought I would like to dip my toe in the water again (yay retirement!). I thank you all for participating and adding a bit of fun to my day whilst I was only lurking.

I believe this to be my most cheerful and beloved scarf - Chacun Fait Son Nid (which also continues the cheerful bird them lol). I am not able to tie it so that I capture the glorious riot of colors.




Next up is Beloved India. I have another CW of this, but this one is my fave. The warm, bright colors evoke a cheerful and carefree day.



And finally - who can resist these bathing beauties?! Suddenly you feel like the heroine of a screwball comedy - the sun always shines and true love wins in the end!
