As I was looking for an example for this week’s theme I found this beauty languishing in a box. It honestly took me so long to find this CW and I got it well past the season yet this is the first time I’m wearing it. Today I needed happy colors and the flowers are blooming so going off theme with SOTD Toucans de Paradise.

Beeeyouteeful!

Thank you, Teaforparrots! :flowers:

Thank you, Karenska!

Thank you, Croisette!

I like it with this pullover, and will look good on jeans, too.

thank yo, Cookie - I will take this as a compliment! :hugs:

very pretty!

Thank you, LKBNOLA :flowers: - the only problem is one can only wear one scarf at a time… and I have now amassed so many scarves that this is getting a problem…
I think we had a theme week last year about combining scarves, so that could help with H maths! Still only one neck, but wearing two together

Cookie, you make a tempting case! And your la rosee changeant is TDF  You wear them all so well, it’s easy to see why you love them so!

Thank you for taking the time to reply, this is exactly how I feel. I would only be looking at secondary market, for this reason. I don’t see many come up, and I‘m not ready to actively chase them (you’re safe from more competition for now, @Cookiefiend ).

I know myself well enough to know that if something requires very careful handling, it will languish in the closet; its a terrible shame for something beautiful to live out its life in a scarf drawer, and miss out on the love it should be getting. I think I need a “gateway“ moussie, that I can learn to get comfortable with, without stressing overmuch at every little snag! I’m sure the right one will come along when the timing is right. I will steel myself with the patience of a huntress until then, and enjoy these lovelies vicariously ;)

We’re far enough North that my silk, and even cashmere, are still in rotation (it’s been an unseasonably cold and LONG Spring in the PNW), so the pressure is not so great yet…
The mousselines are surprisingly robust, but maybe find a way to dip your toe in with a scarf which you don’t feel too attached to?

I loved Julia Abadie's Poesie Persane as much for the title as for the design-- I had a beloved teacher and mentor who translated Persian love poetry so this literally spoke to me. When I found it (in great condition BTW and very fairly priced), I had some hesitation about the cw. The center figures are rendered in what seemed to me the Playskool or Fisher Price plastic colors that are prominent in my grandlittle's toy box! But I took a chance and I am glad I did. It is easy to feature just the beautiful corners but the overall design is charming when shown and now that I am generally older and bolder  I think it works! Here it is both ways:

Incredible, LKB!

As we discussed a few days ago, white hems on scarves make me nervous as I don't want them to look dingy. Nevertheless, a couple of pieces with white hems recently entered my collection. The most recent is the Voitures Exquises Platinum Jubilee scarf. Just lots of light colors here but this scarf is truly a treasure.

And, before that there was this Le Premier Chant / Wow muffler.

Here is the problem with sorting through colorways looking for ones with darker hems. For many designs Hermes doesn't put them onto the website all at the same time. And, some colorways are gone in a matter of days, if not hours. So, when I saw this bright and beautiful muffler I jumped. I adore it, white hems and all.

My SOTD is Le Premier Chant / Wow muffler in CW16, blanc/bleu/multi.

 @Redbirdhermes! You are being pulled over to the light side by the gravitational force of the white hem! Both of these are great on you-- that muffler mash-up of Wow! and LPC is truly inspired. I am very tempted by the black-hemmed one so perhaps we will be "attractive opposites" if it should come my way ;)
This is just beautiful, @LKBNOLA . The brights of the people are hard in isolation, but they just dance over that stunning indigo. As rich and melodious as Persian love poems!
Ah, thank you @Lellabelle-- what a lovely way to describe the charms of this design!
I had actually packed this up to return because it wasn’t as bright as I had anticipated. Fortunately the Etsy seller was uncommunicative and you all talked me into keeping it! Kimonos et Inros goes well with the necklace my MIL gave to me; a goofy grin; my anxious rabbit statue; and the compliment I just got on it during a quick visit to a greenhouse!
I am so glad you kept it @Teaforparrots and your scarf-on-site photos always cheer me up!
Training wheels…I feel we all have that scarf!!
I certainly do @Julide! Maybe even one in each format :giggle:
I hesitated on the scarves of just one color - the Tatouages… would it be too plain or boring?
So I dipped my toe in with the Flamingo Party in The Brightest Color ever - and I lovvvve it!

And when I found another Tatouage in another design - I didn’t hesitate for even one hot minute!
Tout en Carre- I find this one very elegant too, not sure why?

These tatouages are so beautiful each in their own way @Cookiefiend! I have been keeping my eyes open for a design I want and your lovely photos only reinforce my plans... Also @Redbirdhermes is putting her shoulder to the enablement wheel...And! Speaking of white hems and how beautiful they can be-- just sayin' :winkiss:

You could not be off-theme under any circumstances @Iflola! You always bring a smile to the proceedings, as well as your wonderful scarves. This cw is unusual and so bright and cheerful-- happy that you found it! I am your teal sister. Just love this scarf.
Incredible, LKB!

It is indeed! So wonderful @Croisette7-- I was overjoyed to find one and I am even happier to be twins! Looks amazing on white-- it just lets the colors work their magic...

Both are lovely and look beautiful on you, RBH. The colors in VE are so understated and elegant, and it would pair well with your green cable-knit sweater, and it’s fantastic with white. Your muffler is one bright and bold statement! I really like it.

This is a stunning design @Redbirdhermes and looks amazing in a mousseline. This one is so so lovely on you. I am your sister in a more pastel version that I would probably not have looked at twice but for @Marie-the-Mary's mod shots. I think the beautiful symmetry of the design balances the colors and H magic makes it work in almost every cw that I have seen-- one works particularly well. Congratulations and definitely a keeper!

I've been in love with this design ever since I first saw it o @Nomad and I think the yellow is delightful on you @Agrume! I hope you keep it even when your other one arrives. It is so bright and cheerful and would be a fabulous summer scarf with a blue and white mariniere! See, I am already "borrowing" it! (And thank you :ty: )

I second this @Teaforparrots -- only this is how I feel about H colors generally. Oh, really H anything in silk is just better...

Thank you! :hugs:

Well dear @Karenska, I am not a disinterested voice here because I have this very CSGT and I adore it. I do think the lighting and this particular tie are not doing it justice. The triangles, in my opinion, really look so lovely with the cowboy knot and variations that show more of the design than just the tails. As @Redbirdhermes and others have said it is perfect with your sweater and you wear so many colors so easily it seems this would be a no-brainer. But tis true that you must love it as much or more than we do!

@Lellabelle, I am a new collector who used to be in an exclusive relationship with 90 silk twill. Last August I tiptoed into the Mousseline world, lured by @Cookiefiend, @Awillow and many other lovely TPFers and their siren call of mod shots. I love the format and find them perfect for New Orleans' climate and for Cape Cod in summers, and for evening in any season. I do still handle them with a certain amount of trepidation because they seem so fragile. As to the colors, I agree that the chiffon changes colors in interesting ways and expands possibilities. I wish there were more opportunity to try on in store. Because I am new at the format, I prefer to purchase from resellers that allow returns as I have made a few mistakes color-wise. All I can say is come on in, the water is fine!

Thank you @Cookiefiend!

There is nothing I don't love about this photo @Teaforparrots! Scarf, blouse and flowers are *chef's kiss*
Thank you for the vote of confidence, dear LKB, and it’s so nice to see you back on the thread. :hugs:
