Today’s deets are from Tous Les Bateaux du Monde!
“A long collaboration links the Hermès house and the National Museum of the Navy. In 2010 the latter presented wonderful models made at the request of an insatiable discoverer, Admiral Pâris. Engineer, painter, draftsman, ethnologist, writer, he traveled the seas and became in 1871, curator of the museum. By freely interpreting these models, Aline Honoré pays tribute to the man and the exhibition whose name this square bears. From the Tagus to Calcutta via Chile or Pontdichéry, an invitation to travel in silk and for oneself.”

Been swamped with work and missed posting for a few weeks, and have been enjoying everyone's SOTD. In honor of today's festivities across the pond to celebrate the long reign of QE2, my Voitures Exquises limited edition Platinum Jubilee scarf. It's my first limited edition scarf, not available in the US. I ordered from the UK website the day it became available and shipped to a friend in London who shipped it to me. It even came tied in ribbon exclusive to this year. All these years of buying H and it's my first special ribbon too. I absolutely love the "Edinburgh Green” in this scarf. It was Prince Philip's livery color, which was used over the years for his staff uniforms and private cars, including the Land Rover that carried his coffin at his funeral.

Ah, it’s really beautiful, and I’m so glad to hear more about the significance of this design in relation to it being the “chosen one” to commemorate the Queen’s 70th.

Really beautiful, I’m beginning to wish I had had a way to acquire this lovely. It looks chic and pretty on you, Agrume!
Me too :-( with the caveat that I would like it for close to retail price haha. I needed to see it in @Agrume’s tie or the rando knot to really tell if I liked it. And I do! I was going to ask one of our scarfies to show a modeling pic of it in the rando knot. I am apparently a masochist wanting to see this tie knowing I will never own this :whut:
Thank you @Agrume for showing us the scarf this way. I love it! and it looks wonderful on you

Wonderful! What great timing and it looks beautiful on you, RBH! Happy Jubilee Weekend, Everyone. In honor of Her Majesty, I am wearing Les Bassettes, which are dachshunds, and the Queen has Dorgis -dachshund/corgi crosses. Also, Wedgwood pin of a horse. Her Majesty’s fav animals! :dog:Long may she reign, indeed!

Reposting a photo of SOTD because the first one is so awful and I changed brooches because I didn’t think it paired well with the scarf. My mod shots are so overexposed and washing me out. This one is a little better :-s. I must point out it is on theme, too, in addition to being worn in honor of QEII and her royal dogs. Xavier de Poret’s drawing are so very exquisite and true-to-life, aren’t they?

I plan to wear a brooch and scarf each day of the Jubilee. I love the Queen’s many brooches, which are fantastic pieces containing the most beautiful precious gemstones, and which she almost always wears. The brooch I’m wearing is a sterling silver design of the Tara Brooch, the most ornate and famous of the pennanular cloth fasteners found in early medieval Ireland and the British Isles.

Thank you @Snausages @Karenska @LKBNOLA @Croisette7 @bunnycat @Maedi and everyone for the kind compliments and well wishes. Kind of tough to take selfies with your less dominant hand .
Thought I’d share my theme week scarf with Pagni’s Grand Theatre Nouveau. It’s a delightful twist of taking old architectural prints mixed with modern graphical prints in a delightful mash up.
Lovely pages of silks that cheer me up even though times are tough, I can take solace in the beautiful silks that I have while I remain on ban island. I’ll pull out my jubilee silk from a number of years ago too.

Wrong photo , oh my word. :frown: Too late to delete. This is the new photo, for what it’s worth at this point. So sorry.

Focusing in on L’Art du Sarasa, which depicts a kimono shape composed of a variety of fabrics of different colors and patterns. Wore it outside for a quick photo by my mountain laurel and foxgloves.

I share your admiration for this incredible design @lanit and your bright summery cw is like sunshine around your neck-- beautiful. I like the zebra nestled against the stripes on your shirt pocket!

Congratulations @EtsyBoss! It looks fabulous and thank you so much for the additional information. How nice to have it in time for the Jubilee.
SOTD was also Voitures exquises. I already liked the design when it came out, and this CW is suprisingly versatile.

Congratulations @Agrume. How pretty it looks on green tied like this! I believe I will be in the Jubilee club as soon as a friend returns from her London visit!
