Very beautiful, this is a lovely cw which is soft and has yet enough contrast to make the white stars pop against the blue background. The almost golden, sun like hem is a great addition to the celestial theme.
Thank you so much! I like this cw for this one because the two sides are very high contrast. The black/jaune d'or gave me a bit of pause at first but as always, that H color magic knows how to work a scarf! The blue side's vibe is just as you say-- serene and celestial and optimistic.

I’m super late to the game but my first 70 cm came today!! I discovered this design and the CW super late and as soon as I saw it on IG I must hunt it down! Thank goodness my local store was able to locate one out of state! Love it!
Congratulations-- it is a wonderful cw! Looks great on you and I can vouch for the fact that the 70 format is a fun one and another slippery slope for H collectors!

Oh well done!!
While May the 4th celebrates the Jedi and the Light Side of the Force (May the Force Be With You), May the 6th is sometimes known as Revenge of the Sixth, after the movie Revenge of the Sith, and celebrates the Dark Side of the Force. (I know, sometimes it is May 5th, Revenge of the Fifth, but I like the alliteration of the 6th better, and besides, the 5th is already Cinco de Mayo, which my Latino neighbors down the street are definitely celebrating. I decided to let them have their day.)

I'm not all that familiar with the Sith, probably because they are scary, and I tend to avoid scary things. However, here are a few Star Wars Sith.

Lord Darth Vader is probably the best known Sith Lord. I would be terrified to run into this guy. It is clear others in the Star Wars movies are equally frightened of him.

View attachment 5397021

Darth Sidious was Chancellor Palpatine, and his double identity wasn't known until it was too late. Killing these guys doesn't even seem to work as they keep coming back in spirit form and apparently more powerful than ever.

View attachment 5397022

And, my personal favorite, because he looks so darn cool, is Darth Maul.

View attachment 5397026

In any case, I expect that the upcoming Star Wars television streaming series Obi-Wan Kenobi will be an excellent education in the Sith. This show will focus on the years Obi-Wan was in exile on Tatooine watching over a young Luke Skywalker as he grew up. This sounds a bit boring, but throw in some Sith who are hunting them, and things could get a lot more exciting.

Moving on to some Star Wars costumes. In watching the first Star Wars trilogy, Episodes I - III, I absolutely fell in love with the stunning costumes worn by Padme Amidala, Queen of Naboo, and later Senator of Naboo. Here are a few of them.

This outfit was inspired by a Mongolian wedding costume.

I wanted to spend a day comparing her costumes to our scarves, but my efforts quickly died when I realized that I did not own any of the scarves that I thought would be perfect for this topic. Some ideas that came to mind include:

Splendeur des Maharajas (so, so perfect here, since Padme is royalty)
Soiree de Gala
Siam
Costumes Civils Actuels
Cosmogonie Apache
Coiffes Normandes
Tresor du Nil
Tutankhamun
Turqueries en L'Honneur
Wa'ko-ni
La Comedie Italienne (also has a theater reference)
Costumes des Departments

You get the idea. I'm sure there are others. And, I don't own any of them.

Finally, wouldn't Passementerie with all those tassels be a perfect scarf for this amazing outfit?

Failing as I do in the Star Wars queenly costume scarf department, today's scarf celebrates the Dark Side of the Force. My scarf of the day is C'est la Fete, complete with skeleton and stars. All for the Revenge of the Sixth.

Another astonishing post! So fab!

If Parure de Samouraïs is on theme, I can take part too!

oooo - so lovely!
Good Morning! When my grandson was younger, he thought the bridles on my Brides de Gala scarf were astronauts or robots. He was quite insistent on that point so I'm going to run with his Rorschach impression to link three iterations of this design to our theme. First a flat photo so you can see that he has a point!

And finally, not even a mod shot just a quick try on photo as this is in my SGV for Mother's Day. I am totally indebted to @Marie-the-Mary for the amazing mod-shots that inspired me, to @Redbirdhermes for some timely enablement and so delighted to be twins with @Cookiefiend. Gorgeous!!
(all three are gorgeous, and I'm so thrilled to be your twin and RBH's too!)
Fantastic post! I do hope the scarfies that have those designs you mentioned post some of them. I love your C'est la Fete with blue-- we are twins on this one but I have never tried this pairing. Straight into the "note to self" file! I loved seeing the photos of those amazing costumes for the Queen and Senator. Here is a fun photo of the headdress, wig and mask I wore when I rode in Mardi Gras 2020 just before the Pandemic. Do you think I could give Padma Amidala a run for her money?

ahahaaaa!! Love it!

This is just the best group! :hugs:

Twins on the Animapolis and a great cantina scarf!

Thanks laurenad!

You just amaze me @Redbirdhermes-- your imaginative connections are astonishing-- I would NEVER have thought of A Vos Crayons or Magic Kelly until I saw this post and then I am just completely in "face-palm, of course" mode. And thinking of a dip-dye as a hologram is inspired. Love your blue Pani triangle...

Strobe lights and light sabers do seem to be kindred spirits @xincinsin. What a perfect and unexpected tie-in to the theme!

I love this @HScarfCollector -- how lucky to have this one and perfect for this week...

Oh, this is stunning @laurenad-- I would just love to see it flat. I have ever seen this cw of this beautiful design...

 "Cosmic Sparkles"-- you are speaking a NOLA girl's language @bunnycat! Here in the Crescent City we glitter everything that isn't nailed down and even those items are not safe during carnival season! Have glue gun, will glitter is my motto...

I do hope you keep it @Teaforparrots-- some of my favorite acquisitions are unexpected like that. As @Redbirdhermes said, the scarf works well on you.

We are twins on CdL, right @Redbirdhermes? I love how our seasonal choices often coincide. And I cannot wait for some Star Wars fashion!

Thank you so much @citykitty24. I am in good company here-- plenty of twins and sisters! I love your very successful green pairing, not least because it really changes the scarf's emphasis and makes that gorgeous hem pop! (love your nails, too)

Oooo that is a great addition to your SGV @bunnycat! Always love a preview :winkiss: And I love your Animapolis and this cute tie that I always try to copy...

What a very lovely thing to say @CedarWaxWing! Thank you. :flowers: This is cw 08 noir/jaune d'or/bleu. I snagged it online after an obsessive few days of refreshing the H.com page constantly last summer. But it is out there-- I know of at least two fellow TPFers who acquired theirs from resellers. And I agree with you 100% that this is a generous and supportive community for scarf lovers.

 We must be Sisters of the Universe then...

I’m super late to the game but my first 70 cm came today!! I discovered this design and the CW super late and as soon as I saw it on IG I must hunt it down! Thank goodness my local store was able to locate one out of state! Love it!

Beautiful and congrats on it!

So happy you could get one, @LKBNOLA! It looks lovely on you, against this fuchsia background which reminds me of the first roses of spring. And your lipstick is just perfect. Eagerly looking forward to your amazing knots which will enhance its colors and design.
With @Cookiefiend, @Redbirdhermes and you, we have a festival of beauty for our Marble Silk-avid eyes !

The whole group and the Ewoks  and I could go on and on. So my tribute to the love and connections in these movies is my workhorse scarf that might be my most worn scarf of all time, Tea Time Medaillons

Thank you so much, LKB. As for Clair de Lune, you are, of course, correct. I generally wear mine on the Dark Side and I didn't recognize the Light Side. It is truly beautiful, especially on you.

Thanks to a quick scouring of the internet and Dr Google, I do believe we have the perfect combination of Cinco de Mayo and Star Wars- Juan Solo Day! Long may it live for those of us who can't decide which direction to go! Yes- TSM has made it a week long event this year, and what a week it is! But I can easily see the holy triumvirate taking shape now in a multi-cultural three day festival. May the 4th, Juan Solo Day and Revenge of the Sixth.

If Parure de Samouraïs is on theme, I can take part too!

Lovely Parures de Samourais, and absolutely on these as are all scarves with armor this week. His design is particularly relevant today, as the design of Sith Lord Vader’s armor was based on the design of Japanese armor. Glad you enjoyed Padme’s outfits. They were such a stunning addition to the film.
