Good morning dear scarfies! This is my first time posting in this thread after following it for about a year. I love seeing all your beautiful photos! And I learned so much about all the designs throughout the decades. My journey down the slippery orange slope began last year and ended with a drawer full of scarves The little gavroche I am wearing today arrived this morning. Scarfmail from Hermès is for sure something to make me happy! It is called „Peinture fraîche“, designed by Dimitri Rybaltchenko.

I‘ve paused for a long time because I moved to another city for a new job that proved to be…a lot. But I‘m glad to be back again and want to celebrate my return by wearing a gavroche that always makes me happy. It’s colorful, vibrant and fun: Coupons Indiens.

I am jammed up with student conferences all day tomorrow so I will "pre-post" one of my top happy color combinations plus actual scarf mail! I am so delighted to have added a new 100 to my collection in a color (burgundy) and happy hem (bubblegum) that also fits my 2022 collecting goals; "Last Night" by Dmitri Rybalchenko. Let's hear it for pink and black! (and burgundy & grey & green)

Thankyou RBH 39 degrees C today/ 102.2 F. Definitely a "warm day". I received an Hermes delivery today, but I'm just too hot to try it on. I'm waiting on a "Cooler" day to give it a try.!!!

Thank you @MAGJES. For me, this is turning out to be a very "outfit-specific" scarf. I do think it pairs beautifully with my blue velvet shirt, a sapphire blue chenille sweater and a faux suede top, too. I think the very white hem with the candy stripe wants some texture behind it to really work. It is no shrinking violet and elicits so many comments/compliments!



How marvelous to see you back here @Thelittlefoxes! I have missed your radiant smile and your thoughtful and fun posts. I hope 2022 is starting off well with the move and new job and that you will be able to hang out with us more often. Your gav is charming and your earrings TDF.

Yes!! I remember reading about that. As a new collector it was nice information to have. It can be annoying to do a tie and have so much lighter colored underside on the tails stick out like a sore thumb. Samourais has very little saturation on the back. But I have some where I literally can’t tell the front from the back without looking for the ‘Hermes’ Printed on the front.

I have a few like that, too.

Welcome, Katharina Luisa. What a fun and unusual design. I love the colors. Regarding one’s first Hermès scarf acquisition then winding up with a drawer-ful, that seems to be our occupational collectors’ habit . Had anyone told me in 2017 when I bought my first H silk - a twilly - that I would end up with a large and growing collection, I wouldn’t have believed it. We look forward to seeing your treasured silks!
