Beautiful scarves and twins on the Cosmographia GM! And yes on rising - I think sometimes fresh out of the box scarf mail gets caught up in high expectations.

Oooh! Didn’t know this came in a gav!

Congrats on retirement and such lovely silk!

Polka dots always make me happy!

Beautiful colors!

More happy polka dots!

Not only am I a member of the Sad DUJA-less Club, I’m also a member of the Sad Leopards With Glasses Not In My Drawer club! Mine has been in transit over a month and I hope when it arrives I look just as good as you do!

Once upon a time I had all the colorways! I wore this one to a wedding so your photo is definitely happy-making!

Agree a grail thread would be delightful. I think there’s a Desperately Seeking thread; barring that you can add My Wishlist to your profile. But I’ll have to arm wrestle you for a DUJA!

Oh that is marvelous!

There is, and you can add a wishlist to
Your profile!

Another beauty!

:hbeat:

Lovely knot!

:hbeat:

All stunning. That Maison

Excellent collection of feathers!
Thanks cutie!
There is a Holy Grail thread… somewhere… I’ll see if I can find it!
Just one word @orchard: STUNNING.

Well, Emily also wrote "Shame is the shawl of pink/in which we veil the soul" which I have re-composed freely to say, "H is the scarf of joy/with which we frame the face"...

Thank you sweets! I am about to color you happier with my SOTD n a minute when I post its green side @Cookiefiend.

Most definitely that is one Silk Party Going Down @Nomad...You are gettin the party started right there with that top, too.

What could possibly be happier than these darling children? And thank you for the sweet compliment @Agrume!

Thank you @Living.la.vida.fifi! And your happy examples are just marvelous. But that last comment about Duo's party animals made me choke on my iced tea!

Just beautiful @Cookiefiend! I adore your old Plumes moussie, your new Plumes en Fete and your gorgeous ZPGT (gotta love that H Alphabet Soup!)--
Thank you!
I’m feeling all Jackson 5-ish now…
”A, B, C
Easy as 1,2,3
I‘m singin’ it
Do Re Me,
A, B, C, 1, 2, 3,
Baby, you and me!“
About to start a Zoom workshop and hoping to inspire my students with a subliminal Green is for Go! "Pick-up-your-pen-and-start- writing" message. So I flipped my Leopards around and changed my top for a one scarf/two look day ;)

And @Snausages, my 12 Leopards are dying to meet yours! I hope it gets to you very soon. It is so fun.
Oh. My. Gosh!

Ooh, I have just added a Wishlist (but how does it work?? Would anyone ever contact you about it??) - I haven't found the 'desperately seeking...' thread yet, but I don't think anybody would want to get rid of my Wishlist scarves that easily...

Hi there, @Agrume ! I’m new to this forum as well as a first time owner of an Hermes scarf. I was doing a search on Eleftheria (I know it’s not being sold here in the US but could probably source it from a friend abroad- hopefully) and saw your post on the 2021 SOTD thread. It was a lovely Eleftheria scarf you had on but couldn't quite make out the color way. May I ask what cw it was? Thank you in advance for any information provided. Is it cw 08?
Beautiful scarves, ladies!! Apologies for threadjacking- there was no other way for me to reach @Agrume

Welcome, Maita - your first scarf will not be your last one…
And yes, it is CW 08, Bleu/Orange/Jaune Paille. Good luck with your hunt!

Thanks so much, @Agrume ! Yes, I can see how easily one can fall into the Hermès rabbit hole, sigh…
I can’t decide between cw 02 and 08 so your post was very helpful. Not even sure if I can find either one but that’s part of the fun, right? The hunt is on:biggrin:

Hello to 2022 Scarflandia!

I stayed up late to start this thread early! :rochard:

First of all - Happy New Year to everyone out in Scarfland!

Second of all, in this, the year of all things culture 2022, this first theme managed to land squarely in all the right spots on the board for the name. I totally wasn't thinking about the day of the week this landed on when I suggested the song related to this week's theme but here we are! A very happy coincidence for our first theme of 2022.

02 Jan 2022 Get the Party Started: Let’s celebrate with our happiest scarves!

Let's kick off our culture year with some modern culture and Pink's rowdy, happy (and still very danceable) song that gave us this week's theme.

"I'm comin' up so you better get this party started
I'm comin' up so you better get this party started
Get this party started on a Saturday night
Everybody's waitin' for me to arrive…"

Let's explore our happiest scarves. I had to think about that one for a little. What makes a scarf a happy scarf for me? The easiest answer I had for the question was subject matter or colors.

For me Grand Prix du Faubourg and Animapolis fit neatly in to happy scarf land (probably for many of us) with the busy details of races, running, animals and general festivities and usually lot of bright or cheerful coloring (or, as in my case- an overabundance of pink).

Another happy "subject matter" scarf for me would be anything with cats tends to get placed in the "happy scarf" file, like Baobab Cat....

But also, as I pondered a little more, I found I do have a (small- wish it were BIGGER) subset of scarves in my collection that I tend to think of as "happy" because I got a smoking' deal on them...

Panoplie Equestre will ALWAYS be a happy scarf for me for this exact reason (plus I adore the lime green with the navy...)

So take it away scarf fans!!!! Let's see what you have designated your "happy" scarves for whatever reason!
Such happy 90s! I especially love that pink Baobab Cat! Before I entered my downsizing phase I owned the noir, red, yellow, orange, white, and marine colorways of this design. The Pink one always eluded me so I still long for it even now. I’ve reduced mine down to just the noir which is not what I would consider happy but very dramatic for sure. LOVE that CSGM. I finally found this design in a CSGM size as well and love how you have draped it here. Happy New Year!
Thank you @bunnycat for staying up late and getting the party started. Finding Le Premier Chant online and in the CW I wanted, plus before my [unrealistic] new year’s resolution to spend less at H could fail, made me very happy. And while I’m not happy about my insomnia (up at 3am) I’m happy to share some pics.

LOVE!! I can’t wait till mine arrives. So happy I went with this colorway as well.
I didn’t manage to post or follow the thread last year, so here is a quick repost of my newest scarf. I think it fits the theme! Le Premier Chant…

The perfect color for you!!

Oh wait... It's not high/low week? (Well, that would be every week for me. ) It is happy, though! From the last in-person visit before the pandemic - Les Artisans.
This colorway is so fabulous on you and gives out a wonderful happy vibe!
This year I vow to be ruthless in my acquisitions and culls - since I have only one neck I need to acquire and keep only the ones that are more than just pretty or even breathtaking (because aren’t they all?!) but really make my heart skip a beat.

one thing I’ve learned about myself is that H magic often requires time to ‘rise’. If I get scarf mail and try something on without the right hair/makeup/clothes I’m often crushingly disappointed. This was the case with 3 Graces. Alice Shirley + brights should have been a no-brainer but it just didn’t work the first few times I tried it on. Off to the re-home pile it went!

But then I found the perfect backdrops and voila it became a heartbeat-skipper. And adding to the happiness: NWT and below retail!

Wow! What a beauty!
Good morning Scarflandia! Happy 2022. Huge thanks to @Living.la.vida.fifi for her heroic holiday hosting (lots of alliteration there!) and thank you @bunnycat for getting us started. I am excited for this year. My 2022 collecting goals for artists are Pierre Marie, Virginie Jamin and Dmitri Rybalchenko. I have some other designs on my list (of course!) and two grails I am still in the hunt for. But today, taking a page from @Redbirdhermes (and I am her twin on this one too!) I am posting my favorite Rybalchenko from last season. When I bought this DH was so happy that I had a black and gold scarf-- our beloved NOLA Saints' team colors. Today Clair de Lune is happy to be going to a Saints game!

This scarf is an absolute dream!! I must say…..your knotting skills make me incredibly happy! I’ve become quite rusty over the last few months and am now very inspired!!

Happy New Year to all my dear scarfies! And say the same sentiments as those above- I am so appreciative to all the scarf mistresses who take the time to make our love of silks so fun throughout the year!
I was going to do yellow silk today like scarf1 but it’s raining so I chose this csgm that makes me so happy because I got it for a STEAL!!!!!!! And it’s black! Black can’t go wrong in my mind. Dirt, what dirt :coolio:. Put lipstick on…sure why not!
My first three csgm’s were Samourais and a beloved Henry and I loved them so much that I protected them. Hardly wore them. I am slowly learning to enjoy the more costly format. So to have this utter bargain in my closet has really allowed me to wear csgm’s more often and learn through experience that they can take a beating And it’s just fine. Rain, hurricane, snow, wind, this guy is coming with me!

Hello Twin!! I have this one as well and it's such a splendid colorway. You wear it so well!
To me, yellow is a happy color. I don’t have many yellow scarves, but do view these as some of my happiest!

Beautiful Scarf1! Turquoise is definitely your color! Love that yellow 70.
Happy New Year! Here’s my first scarf of the year, Exposition Universelle, and actually my first Hermes scarf I’ve ever bought! I’ve been spiralling since then and my wallet has not been thanking me.. I thought I’d try it out as a top, but I don’t think I’d actually dare wear this out

It's a 12 Leopards day for me too! The riot of colors makes me happy and the cashmere.... toasty warm for this chilly winter day.View attachment 5288015View attachment 5288016
Gah! This is the one I’m waiting on! Got it right before Thanksgiving but when I opened it at home saw a big run. Took it back - they had one left in stock and IT had a run. So I’m (impatiently) waiting for a flawless one to arrive. It looks divine on you and I am looking forward to twinning!
