Two other CSGM grails presented themselves to me at fair prices and one 100x100 also came home with me (again because of the horse…) ELeK, Au Fil du Carré and Les Ailes de Pegase:

Wishing all you dear scarfies a colourful, happy and healthy 2023!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Simply beautiful and a happy new year to you dear @Sammy Royal.
Dear @LKBNOLA, your marble scarves are breathtaking! Beautiful closing of the year with these gorgeous photos!Fir me it’s a new inspiration and a one of the new year’s objectives )
Thank you!
Thank you @Stylehound-- I am paying it forward in that case because I felt the same inspiration from @Redbirdhermes' example! I look forward to your additions and your always stunning mod shots!
Two beauties, absolutely!
Thank you so much @Croisette7. I am happy to have them!
Thank you, Stylehound, it took me three tries to decide that this was the cw I wanted. There is a purple stone on the brooch which, with a light top, might pick up the lovely aubergine in that cw. Not so much with black, but black really does work beautifully with this cw, as @Living.la.vida.fifi astutely mentioned recently.

How beautiful your pin looks with this @Karenska!
I would like to wish all beautiful scarfies a Happy New 2023! Let it be healthy, peaceful and happy!
Thank you for sharing beauty, joy, kindness and wisdom!
David Parker’s card with Mr. H wearing probably one of the Carrés greets us with the New Year! Novel discoveries and sensations!View attachment 5680866
Lovely and clever play on names @Stylehound! Last year at Mardi Gras my son caught a small green stuffed monster from the Krewe of Hermes parade and put an accent on the "e" to make it my little H mascot.. This card is more elegant and the sentiment is perfect!
All so lovely, Fifi. As a person who does not own Coupons (yet), and one who cannot decide on which of the fantastic cws I would want, yours may be THE ONE. Promenades de Paris is one of my very favorite designs. I love your cw. I had trouble deciding on which cw when it was issued, the rouge/caramel or the fuscia/green; I chose the fuscia/green. But this spring I had the opportunity to acquire the rouge, so here it is!

Both are stunning cws of this design @Karenska!
That Fouet is stunning @LKBNOLA and knotted perfectly to show off its beauty!
Thank you so much @Snausages and I am sympathetic as I have a new pup also learning to sleep through the night!
Gaaaah! Spectacular! And beautifully accessorized with the perfect earrings and scarf ring!
On this last day of 2022, I’d like to wish everyone in this wonderful community of scarf lovers a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year. It is an honor and pleasure to be a part of this special group of lovely, like-minded humans on a forum where I am constantly delighted, amazed and inspired. I have thoroughly enjoyed participating throughout the year, but mostly on this, my favorite week of all.

And, indeed, I have saved some of my best scarves for last, as these mousselines are truly treasures that I’ve been lucky to find this year.

I kicked off the week with the amazing La Rosee moussie changeant. I show it again as I will wear it this evening with my labradorite jewelry when I go out to dinner with family. After dinner, we will return home to try to comfort our pets from the disruptive noises of rockets and fireworks for the midnight rituals of champagne and twelve grapes

View attachment 5680931

Another fabulous changeant entered my collection this year: the amazing, autumnal Serenité
View attachment 5680929

Last year I was able to finally find a mousseline Grail design in the navy/magenta/rose Etude Pour un Iris Arc en Ciel and this year I found this beautiful CW
View attachment 5680930

And, finally an unexpected beauty. I own multiple CWs of Early America in the twill version and finally found the striking black in the CSGM version this year. Well, I unexpectedly found this gorgeous mousseline from a local seller recently

View attachment 5680934

And, for my last post of the year let me close with this offering of flowers. These festive blooms are always available at this time of year from a local seller and I always bring some home.
With them I wish each and everyone a Happy New Year filled with silken treasures

Quick shot of Chorus Stellarum, a lucky and fun acquisition this year, before rushing off to the paint store before it closed. Happy New Year and good luck on all 2023 projects large and small!

This was such a perfect choice for you @Teaforparrots! A Happy New Year to you and your menagerie!
I’ve not been able to share photos until today but have enjoyed everyone’s eye candy!

This year I wanted to branch out and try new formats.

I adore my cashmere losanges and my silk Twillies and feel this new addition is their offspring.

Presenting La Source de Pegase mini losange in silk for a small pop of color.

View attachment 5680948
What a charming little format and as always, perfectly combined with sweater and knot @MAGJES!
I finish up this year with two special Limited Edition scarves. During 2022 we said good-bye to many special people, including Queen Elizabeth II. I was delighted to acquire the Jubilee edition of Voitures Equises in June, and sadly wore it in her memory the day of her funeral in September.

View attachment 5680936

My other scarf is the Limited Edition of Hommage a Gene Kelly which was issued to celebrate the opening of the new Madison boutique in New York City in October. We always watch the broadcast of the New Year coming in at Times Square with the crowds and the dancing, so this celebratory scarf is most appropriate for today.

View attachment 5680952

Wishing everyone a most blessed New Year!
Two more special beauties that you added this year @Redbirdhermes -- I am happy to be your twin and sister on these! The Gene Kelly is adorable in the SE color and look vibrant on your green top. Happy New Year to you and yours!
Amazing, all. That Tapis :faint:.
:hugs: and :ty: @Karenska!
Beautifully said, dear Nola, and I couldnt agree more. I’ll add my thanks to you also. You are such a wonderful presence in the forums: welcoming new members, creating camaraderie, supporting participation and positivity, noticing small details in our posts, encouraging us in our styling effforts and always taking the time to write personal responses to so many of us. It makes it so easy to participate and feel welcome, whether you have just purchased your first scarf, or have a substantial collection. I know of no other forum like this; it is truly a special place.

There are so many members here who give so much to make this forum the beacon of acceptance and silk-joy that it is, and to all of you: we appreciate you!

Congratulations on the scarf gift vault (copyright @bunnycat :ty:). I joined the club myself this Fall ;). I am fairly sure that gift vault items do not count towards yearly purchases either, so it’s also helping to assuage my guilt over my uncontrolled excitable purchasing this year…:roflmfao:

Your surprise gift of marble Fouets et Badines is superb! Truly wonderful on you, and even more so as it was chosen for you by someone special. MrNola clearly has great taste!

Happy New Year all, and may 2023 be filled with silken-wishes come true!
Oh, thank you so much @Lellabelle! I feel so fortunate and grateful to be part of this community! I just give back what I myself have received and continue to enjoy from all of y'all. It sounds like we are all periodically stricken with a case of Acute Exuberant Scarf Acquisition Syndrome, which unchecked, can lead to a Chronic Condition which is only alleviated by regular Infusions of Colorful Silk. The Secret Scarf Gift Vault is a big help to Mr. Nola for sure but he surprised me with this new marble silk. I had asked him to mail it back to H.com-- not because it wasn't stunning but because I had already received the BdG marble for Mother's Day. Instead of returning he silently put it away...My Scarf Hero! Happiest of New Years to you and I look forward to 2023!
No way I can catch up before the thread is closed so I just want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and many blessings as we start it off. You are a wonderful community, I learn from you all, I admire you all, I love your scarves and chic styles, and I look forward to continuing our friendships and passion for these silky treasures. Here are my final 2022 offerings and what have become grails for me, for sure. In fact, the US site has yet another fabulous cw - 14 caramel/noir/creme - that I will not acquire but I do have to say that love it. And a special shoutout to @Sammy Royal, as we are sisters. Your cw is so beautiful on you.

I could never say it as well as some of our scarfies have already said it, but I am thankful for this community and this wonderful bunch of scarfies. It is a wonderful place to come and share And everyone is so amazingly nice and supportive and have made many new friends which I am also so very thankful for.
My last acquisitions of 2022. It was a massive year for me. Many I hunted for for a long time! 1st row: Parade de leonhardi ( years searched for), limited edition cite Cavaliere ( my only limited thansk to a wonderful scarfie friend), palio di siena ( years searched for). 2nd row: metamorphose des Carres, black tous les bateaux ( years again), Vue de la carosse, 3rd row: Les triples, acte ( years to decide on a cw haha), circus.
I have one other addition that I will post after I get ready to go out. It’s a special one

Beautiful @scarf1-- so delighted to be twins on Zenobie (and both acquired this year!) and that Karnak! Congratulations on some beautiful additions to your amazing collection. Happy New Year!
Beautiful knots! I've only recently discovered double face scarves and am eyeing the new season's Jardin de Peintres as well.
Have you decided on a colorway?
I'm still mulling over all the previous season's Mustang II beauties and am itching to pull the trigger on that one too.
I am at 5 double faces now and began 2022 with none!
:P
Welcome to the double love of double faced scarves @MAGJES! I can't wait to see your five new ones. I fell for Jardin des Peintres in cw 05 -- I love the soft marine clair and pink side but even more the opposite side is unlike anything at all in my collection and will be a really fun neutral/bright for summer, I believe. They are all beautiful and that is the problem! Too much of a good thing...

Like many posts before mine, I’ve been catching up, admiring, envying, and feeling so grateful and fortunate to have found this amazing community! I’ve also realized that while I did collect rather aggressively this year, I’m not going to feel guilty. Life is too short and these beauties brightened up some dreary days while making the good days even better. Wishing you all a peaceful, healthy, joyful year ahead! Cheers to 2023!

I'm not going to count my new treasures to avoid scarf shock :faint: But I will say that this was a Year of Second Chances for me. I acquired some scarves which I missed when they were issued. The reasons why I missed them are either "sold out" :crybaby: or "really not me" :cray: (but I couldn't forget about them ... ).

The price tipped the balance for me for these two scarves. They were so beautiful but I rarely wore large formats, so I reluctantly passed on them. When they popped up in excellent condition and half-retail, I snapped them up. The icing on the cake was that they were in my preferred cws.

I'm in the same boat with Robe Legere  It counts as a 2022 buy but it's still on the way to me.

The other lesson I learnt in 2022 is to stop placeholding. These are a couple of scarves which I could have bought in another cw, but I held out for the cw that I really wanted. I paid above retail, but no regrets. Both just arrived a few days ago.

Great additions to your collection. Isn't that Gene Kelly great in the black colorway? None of the regular issues interested me at all, but Hermes did fabulous job with the special Madison colorways.

On my way to dinner wearing my treasured La Rosee… one of my Grail dreams come true this year… I did not wear the labradorite jewelry as planned, but went with these Françoise Montague Paris vintage earrings and my grandmother’s amethyst and rubies ring.

The Bord is a special edition! Not sure if you knew since you didn’t mention it, but you know so much about them so maybe you just didn’t say. It was made for the benefit of the emerald necklace in Boston. I almost bought this last month bc I live in Boston, but decided I would just be buying it for being “a limited edition” w personal attachment. However, I was strong and didnt hit buy bc the orange is a no go for me. I can’t wait to see you model it.
