And @Snausages, Glad someone else is the same pace haha. It is scary writing down the number . And I only brought in one gav, And one doll twilly! I actually stayed on my ban pretty well on those haha. I did rehome about 12 of both of those though this year. I just wasn’t using them enough. I think I have a pile that is real love now. I am struggling though on my ban because I really love the faubourg tropical detail gav in purples and pinks.

I am following Sammy with my two moussies acquired this year. ?Rusty copper/burgundy? degrade changeant and aux portes des palais changeant. I rehomed 2 changeants this year as I had two with similar colors and had to pick a fav and portes won. And the other just wasn’t my color even tho gorgeous. Never in my life did I think I would rehome a changeant .

Well, today's scarf I am going with @Snausages rule of thumb. The CC has not hit yet, and while I have already "paid in full" imma still count this Cheval Vague towards 2023. Because the 2022 totals were.... I'll be discussing this in painful detail next week, in fact.

Here are the highlights of my favorite 2022 scarves. Most were purchases and some were gifts, but I am going to confess right now that this is only about 1/2 of the total count. I didn't include Finn's memorial scarf, because that was out of the normal bounds of scarf buying and there were a couple of "bargains" not in here plus it was just getting too much trying to locate it all. Since we did all the house work, I am having trouble with scarf "storage" ideas, and things are split out in to 3 different areas (and it is not working well for me but I can't think of anything else right now...) I forgot to put Lazy Leopardesses in here too, but I wore it yesterday.

I love the way you’ve tied Cheval Vague here, it brings out the best of the colours and pattern. Those are some beautiful 2022 favourites! Is that Kawa Ora CSGM?

FT is just so beautiful. Sammy. I just love the soft and shimmery rose and beige colors. Stunning. Love you CU, too. I tried that on cw once, but decided on the rose. And it looks like you are wearing a gorgeous Aran knit with it. And congratulations on your grail. All lovely.

What wonderful acquisitions, RBH, and your KO collection grows. His designs are so special. My search is for a particular cw of Les Mythologies des Hommes Rouges at a price point that doesn’t break the bank. Both are lovely colors on you. I agree about the sweetness of Petit Bonheurs - it’s delightful.

Both are truly gorgeous, Sammy. My Splendeurs search is for its sister, the soft brown and purple cw.

Great scarfs!! You really did well!!

During 2022 I acquired 7 marble silks of various shapes, sizes, and materials. The Kyoto Marble Silk Muffler and the Marble Ex-Libris Scarf in a cashmere/silk blend were from prior seasons, and were acquired on the secondary market.

Then came the bee jacquard series of marble silks during the summer. Here are the Marble Silk Fringed Muffler and the Marble Silk Brides de Gala 90. There were also a Twilly and a Doll Twilly in the series.

Finally, this fall came the Marble Silk Fouets et Badines. This is my scarf of the day, tied with the Marble Silk Doll Twilly.

I am going to request your indulgence for a second post today. Otherwise I can't fit in my whole "highlight reel"!?! I took a bit of a break from my beloved 90 silk twill (my first and forever love) to explore the larger silk sisters. I added four to my stash this year. Two were grails and two were just very lucky and happy finds (one mislabeled as a 90 and priced accordingly!). Hat tip and to @Julide for her help on my first 140 grail, Tapis Persans. And of course our wonderful @Living.la.vida.fifi and @Coco2606 just showed the amazing Savana Dance 140s in their collections. I have a $100 over rule and only for the grailiest grail that I just never ever come across warrant it. Which is why I don’t own a Jardin anglais haha. But how I got my zabavushka, pytheas, Samourais, sieste, kimonos. But H math balances out with so many for less than retail…right?!?!

And this is a beautiful flat lay of your 2022 additions-- what a good idea to do this-- it creates an immediate visual that is so helpful both to review the year and to plan what will come in next! I even contacted the reseller site to check so their loss was assuredly my gain...

Thank you -- my Harnais de Coeur came from Vestiare, a site I only just started looking at late this year. It is an employee scarf, I believe with an X rather than an S beneath the care tag. I had wanted it but missed it online due to dithering. I love these classic looks and there it was for a bargain price so I snapped it up happily... plus it is the most wonderful blues...

These are wonderful @Holsby (and I love the clever way you have labeled your mod shots!). I too fell for Regarde de Soie and love the pointillist effect. It ties like a dream. Drive Me Crazy with that gorgeous contrast hem is perfect on you-- beautifully combined with your grey sweater.

My last post of the year is of two truly special additions. I am very grateful to our Marble Silk maven @Redbirdhermes, without whose additions and alert, I would not even own the first of my marble silk scarves. I am so happy to have added two this year, both in designs that I adore. Here are two that have "pride of place" in my collection.

And my most recent gift from my lovely and supportive DH.
