Another side of my Christmas tree and my self-wabi-sabi’d but still festive Perroquets scarf (Great Chicken Explosion Situation Of 2022). Still very wearable but I’d definitely buy another if I found one in great condition.

What a beautiful colorway of GTN, @Coco2606! I love how you styled it with your bleu ciel shirt and the perfect shade of lipstick. I now will appreciate more fully how many birds there are on GTN. As Birthday Girl, @Teaforparrots says, Birds, Birds, Birds!

I purchased this red and gold colorway of Les Legendes de l'Arbre very early in my Hermes scarf journey thinking that it would make for a wonderful holiday scarf. I love how rich red and gold look together.

As you can see from the flakes on my sweater it is snowing again. Some years I worry if we will have a white Christmas, but not this year. This is predicted to be a major storm so praying that all holiday travelers will stay safe.

I think eyeliner and finesse are different, but happy to be corrected; my understanding is finesse is a design in just one colour, and can be any type of silk whereas eyeliner is a specific type of silk, I think there are stiffer threads woven in to the silk which makes it handle differently? We had a theme week some while ago where someone explained more elegantly than I have here…

I sold my BdG eyeliner with tags still on, I just couldn’t get to grips with it, here’s a picture to demonstrate just how firm the fabric is, shown standing unsupported against H boxes for reference.

Ah! I have this La Naissance D'une Idee Eyeliner in the orange / blanc version and I have worn it a lot in the spring / summer. It is indeed very stiff, and it's nice for a very simple tie. I have wondered about the nomenclature with this one.

I was lucky that someone who attended the Madison Store opening did not want their special scarf and it made its way to me! It isn't technically a holiday scarf but it reminds me of all those winter cab rides in NYC along the avenues with their bright lights and decorations. If you could even hail a cab, that is! Never easy and especially not at Christmastime. But that's ok. I have a yellow cab on my scarf to take me anywhere I please...

Hello fellow scarf fans. Time stopped last week when Mt BCat got sick and I went in to Def Con 300 in sanitization to no avail. Yes, I am writing you from inside Mr BCat's and my very own Covid Ward bubble in case you had wondered about the sudden drop off a cliff over the weekend.

Today was the first day I put some silk on in several days. Sorry no makeup at all. And at least I am sporting a sweater on top (but jammies still on bottom, I assure you...) Small amount of activity interspersed with lots of naps, lots of coughing and lots of hot tea (and oatmeal...)
