I remember Frank Sinatra singing a Christmas song, beginning with, "Oh, by gosh, by golly, it's time for mistletoe and holly". I'm wearing my apple green mistletoe and holly scarf today.

My scarf of the day is Neige d'Antan, and it's -3 F this morning. I declare that winter is here, even if it is technically a day early.

Gorgeous, Rbh. Love this cw, too. Between all the Neige and Noel Faubourg love showing here lately, I feel I need to add to my holiday scarves . Just listened to Frank’s classic Christmas album this week! Such beautiful arrangements with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra.

My SOTD is one of my favorite winter-themed silks: La Vie du Grand Nord by Aline Honore. I recently acquired a lovely pinkinsh one, but my favorite to wear at this time of year is this chilly gray cw. I love the people, the symbols, the vignettes but today I highlighted the people in their warm parkas-- kind of what we will all be wearing this week if the weatherman is right! (For Christmas revelers, there are some tips of reindeer antlers poking out here and there!)

Another fab cw of this treasured design! I like how you tied it, Lkb.

What a fabulous green!!
Winter is on the way here too - if we're going to be in the single digits by Thursday - you'll be in the minuses! Brrrrr!!!
(and thank you for the lovely ear-worm - way way way better than what I had stuck in my head! :giggle:)

Thank you @Pirula!

How beautiful @EtsyBoss! It looks marvelous with your ring and necklace-- perfect for date night!

I love this one as you know @Karenska and how lovely it looks tied in this ingenious variation...

That is beautiful-- very very festive and I love the purple ribbon @Cookiefiend. I am beginning to wonder if there is a moussie that you don't have in your beautiful collex!

Thank you :hugs:

Wow-- that is very festive @Coco2606!

Thank you-- yes, this scarf has two distinct bias looks @Karenska!

As others have said, you are so creative to perceive these designs' potential for holiday looks! I would never have picked out the perfect detail as you have on these. Bonus: adorable pet photo and stunning jewelry! Amazing post as always @Living.la.vida.fifi ...

Thank you @Maedi-- they are over-the-top and quite intoxicating...

It is this scarf as you styled it that inspired me to also use my ACdlV as a holiday scarf! I paired my black bordered one with a burgundy top to highlight the flowers. Beautiful holiday looks @scarf1.

Pretty with your purple dress @AnnaE.
Thank you, LKBNOLA, it is a good way to tamp down the poofiness of a cowboy knot but it is still a bit too much fabric around my neck, I found as I ran my errands yesterday. I ended up bias folding it and tieing it around my neck onto my chest.

Today I will share some silks in my collection that are as far from holiday-themed than they can be, but which work so well during the festive season!

This CW of Fouets et Badines makes for a great holiday scarf, especially when worn with a red top

Napoleon… I especially find that the little red bows on the corners are very festive. This is an archive pic as I wore it to a Christmas luncheon

And, these are my pups, Luke and Heidi, last Christmas. This September we lost our senior dog, Heidi the dachshund, who was 15 years old. So, this pic was of our last Christmas with her

I never thought about Napoleon as a festive scarf. But you are absolutely right! The bow works so well. And I really love the Bonsai in this CW. Though the cutest are your your puppies  Heidi is now watching everything from her own little cloud together with other sweet companions :hugs:

during Dec I alternate between a few scarves neige d’antan as shown by several others already. In Addison, Noel au Faubourg and my au coeur de la vie in a green and red cw.View attachment 5674434View attachment 5674435
Both are so beautiful!
Hi friends,

This fills me with warmth and comfort. I am cautious buying a scarf that is limited by a season and every year when this week comes around, I regret not having a winter scarf.
