Second of two SOTD contributions today, couldn’t resist wearing my new to me scarf mail of Lê Geographie which is literally straight out of the package! This design, along with Orgauphone, have been on my wish list for ever as my collection is missing those particular jacquard designs.

Not a colourway I’d normally pick but it really does make the jacquard sparkle!!!

View attachment 5000679

Oh your knot and jacquard silk scarf are so beautiful!! Those soft colors suit you very well, dear @paula24jen  Congrats !!!

What a great knot!! I think it looks especially beautiful with PdS. I really love your blue garde Robe Pop colorway and the wonderful chocolate/green border. I ended up selecting the orange one and it’s quite colorful!

Thank you! It is L’Art Du Temari

This looks great!!

Love the chocolate border in the last picture.

Thanks a lot, dear @MAGJES !! I love this pretty 'Garde rope pop' too. I saw the orange CW at the store, and it was vibrant and fresh  I'm sure that it will goes so well with you! :hbeat:

I recently picked up a second colorway of Pavement. I used a bias fold, with a bit of a twist, then a simple knot. The large Tahitian pearl in my pendant is from Kamoka and was set at T Lee Custom Designer Jewelry.

View attachment 5000691

Ahhh Your SOTD is so harmonious! Your blue sweater and Pavement match so beautifully, and I love your black pearl necklace - it add elegant mood to your arrangement  Beautiful, dear @Redbirdhermes

Totally agree! This was purchased thanks to her!
View attachment 5000695

OMG! Your beautiful mod shot killing me...
It's on my wishlist for long time. This CW suits you very well! Gorgeous, dear @MAGJES  thanks a lot for sharing!

And I just wore it yesterday Bova!

View attachment 5000700

I love this in the purples!!! :cloud9:

Beautiful Karenska!

Congrats paula24jen! It's a beauty!

Love these colors in this Pavements!

Perfect with that sweater! (the knot and the colors!)

I love this!! :hbeat: Thanks for sharing Bova's bias fold knot, dear @bunnycat ! I love the way you twist the scarf and located the tail at the front... I'll definitely this one

Thank you @Yoon daily scarf ! I'm so enjoying your hosting this week, and the parade of awesome knots.

It's my pleasure, dear @Langsam !! To share beautiful knots and chats with you is my big joy, I'm so grateful for this great experience. So glad you're enjoying this week!! :hbeat:

Fantastic, I've been meaning to try this knot. And can I just say how marvelous your design & color way choices are. What a lovely collection you have.

Thanks a lot for your sweet words, @Langsam!
I admire your beautiful collections too :hbeat:

I like this variation on the Infinity Knot using 2 x 90 carres. It adds a lot of silk bulk so it is good in providing winter warmth (good if you live in a winter climate like me). The fun is in choosing 2 scarfs that will look harmonious together (my preference) or you could choose 2 contrasting (e.g opposites on the colour wheel).
From the archives (alas those Covid pounds!) with the original issue orange Marche du Zambezie and La Danse du Cheval du Marwari.
View attachment 5000728

Oh I didn't noticed that you made this beautiful knot with 2 scarves! I thought it was a CSGM... I love your beautiful scarves and brilliant knot, and your orange colored belt is so fabulous

I have fallen terribly behind (and on such a wonderful week, too!), but for good reasons--several rounds of interviews for a new job. I waded into the shallows of ban island to pick up an international scarf purchase that finally arrived (purchased around New Year's!), Les Amazones by Dumas. No time for fancy knots today, so an old standby, set slightly off center using a MaiTai Zero gravity ring.

View attachment 5000740

It has one of those tiny folded care tags, so it must be original issue. Does anyone know whether that was 1968 or 1976? Trusted internet sources give two different dates.

Gorgeous!!! Congrats for your new acquisition, and I hope you have good news! :hbeat:

Quickly scrolled through this morning's posts and will catch up later on all the wonderful carres and knots! Meanwhile, I am going to the vet and have on MZ in Yoon's quick chain d'ancre wrap around. Here's a photo. Just want to point out that I color coordinated my puppy to my scarf!!!

View attachment 5000759

Wow I love your chic and stunning arrangement with MZ!!! And your puppy rocks !!:loveeyes:

I had high hopes this morning, and marched to the mirror with my Mors ring in hand... about half way through I got lost.
I got this far and then fizzled.
View attachment 5000783
Then went back to the closet for another ring, determined to master the fancy ruffle knot...
View attachment 5000782
I sorta got it, but felt it was just too tight, and I didn’t like the color, the scarf was just all wrong, I hate my hair, why do I have dog hair everywhere, what time is it, ohmigosh I’m late, where are my keys, where’s my PHONE, oh it’s in my hand.

I ended up wearing a favorite moussie Della Cavalleria in @Bova123’s BFK
View attachment 5000784

Oh my god, you make me smile, dearest @Cookiefiend! To confess, I'm so used to it..I've been this situations for seveal times!!! And I especially like the part 'where's my cellphone - ah it's in my hand' because I did exactly the same... hahaha  I felt a sense of camaraderie.
Oh and I love all of your knots too! The first knot you made is one my ' best Mors ring knots', and your Ondulation knot and BFK is also beautiful!

all so b3autiful!

beautiful!

the octopus knot really shows off the 8nteresting border. Congrats on your new scarf!

oh I love pavements design too!

your post made me laugh! Have a wonderful day in your b3autiful moussie

Thanks a lot, dear @scarf1 !! ♡

First 2 attempts at the edot knot. I got my left and right, top and bottom confused, watched the video a 2nd time, and ended up with a mirror image  Definitely need more practice with this one.
View attachment 5000794

Then, to make myself feel better, I changed to a simple bias fold, slipped a large jade ring to the centre, and pulled both ends through the ring.
View attachment 5000801

Did the same thing again but with one of @bunnycat's tiny glass scarf rings.
View attachment 5000802

And finally a group shot of the 3 rings I played with.
View attachment 5000803

Your Edot knot is awesome!!! You made perfect drapes.. Nevermind right or left, there's no rules - it's beautiful enough!:hbeat: And I love your scarf ring collections, especially the eye-catching jade ring!

thank you kindly Karenska!

This is just gorgeous...that hem :yahoo:

Thank you so very much snausages!

A beautiful scarf Karenska!

Wonderful jacquard!

Lucky you to have this great design RBH!

Thanks!

Thank you!!!

Gorgeous! I like what you did with the mors ring.

Thank you!

Thank youuuu!

Thanks a lot, dear @Pirula ! I'm looking forward to it!

Sotd. I suppose this is a go-to knot for me. Especially when I need a quick uncomplicated way to show the border color like today with the pink border On Collection Imperiales. I was in a hurry lol

I love that pink border! Your knots reveals it so effectively. Gorgeous, dear @k_alleycat2000

My first attempt at an Edot knot. A slippery vintage 70cm probably not the best for this but this was my first time wearing my C’est la Fete even though I’ve had it for a couple of years.
View attachment 5000829

Oh I didn't know that the original format of this design was Carrè 70! Such a marvelous design :hbeat: I love your Edot knot too!

Thank you so kindly, dear YoonDS. Appaloosa must be for me because I recently purchased another cw of it which I adore, too. The stable has a full-blooded Appaloosa whom I haven’t met yet. But he’s a real beauty and his spots are gorgeous. I worshipped him from afar :hbeat: ....View attachment 5000869

I envy you, dear @Karenska !! You have 2 beautiful CW... Your gorgeous mod shot convinced me to put this scarf on my wishlist!! :hbeat:

Oh Index palmarum was my personal grail, I chased it but missed it for 6 times!! haha
But finally, I purchased it last week from Russia. I recieved it but I couldn't get it out of the box... After I saw your gorgeous mod shots, I decided to use it! Thanks for inspirations. And I love your Bride de Gala Shadow! We're twins on this one:loveeyes:

Yoon’s daily knot (simple bow not pleated) on three 70s: :hbeat:
Kelly en Caleche. The most difficult because it’s so soft. View attachment 5000950
Promenades de Paris. I love how this cameout! View attachment 5000943And my favorite knot today, Tigre Royale Fleuri because my beautiful Binta’s majestic, flowered face is peeping out. View attachment 5000944

Your Half bow knots are so neat and beautiful! Love them all, I especially love your Binta! I remember your lovely story of it, dear @Karenska :hbeat:

Trying the snail knot on a 140 and geant triangle. Too much fabric to really look like a nautilus but still a nice way to tame such a lot of silk. Win-win!! Les Chemins Secrets and Kachinas.

Oh it works on CSGM and Geant triangle too!!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful idea, dear @Karenska

ahhhh, more Ledoux :hbeat:
(I  that we’re twins on Sportsman; it’s such a fab’ cw)

Thanks for the explanation of your no-name; it turned out great with JdC

You had great results with Edot! I especially love how ELA turned out (happy to be twins with you on this one).
The rest of your examples are lovely, too.
Thanks for being such a great host while on vaca’ :hbeat:

Looks great with a turtleneck

Congrats! What a marvelous hem

Beautiful cw & accompanying jewelry

Fab’ jacquard & the robin’s egg blue is a ideal compliment :girlsigh:

Yesterday’s scarf with different jumper and different knot, looks like a different scarf! Quite by accident I got Francois Peron displayed quite nicely.

Le Geographe, an intricate silk jacquard of kangaroos and anchors, was designed by Sandra Laroche, who created three additional carres for the Maison Hermes: Au Clair de la Lune, Fleurs d’Hiver and Per Astra Ad Astra being her most recent and perhaps also best known creation.

Happy Thursday, dear Scarf ladies!

To keep my promise, I tried Snail knot with my 'springs'. It's the softest scarf I've ever had. It's too thin and soft to support the weight, so I didn't use my scarf ring today...

I've been always hide the bows when I tie this knot, but I inspired by your beautiful mod shots. So I made the bow outside today. I like it!

And following dear @bunnycat , I tried the Bova's bias fold knot. I matched it with my pearls to fix the tail. I love this neat and modern knot! Thanks a lot to dear @Bova123 and @bunnycat :hbeat:
