It’s Mardi Gras, so we need a Carnevale de Venise today. And look—I finally mastered @Cookiefiend’s double knot!View attachment 4992801
Well done! :dothewave:
This is a yummy cw too!
These are all amazing.
Thanks sweetie! ❤️
Hard for me to pick a favorite designer. There is something special about each one. One designer whom "I'm always madly curious what they will come out with next" is Edouard Baribeaud. Today by chance my random knot highlights the artist's signature.

What an ideal happy accident (love that pendant with it)

They all look wonderful on you! I'm twins with you on the orange and the blue Napoleons. I have considered hunting down one in a third colour. I see that you have four! Love it!

thank you, Bunnycat! :flowers: Hope it gets better where you are, and you stay warm!

thank you, Cookie! :flowers: Yes, a red one...
wonderful n you!

OMG each more beautiful than the next!
and so clever with the last 2 scarves, I had to look really closely to see that there are 2.

Love that Chasse en afrique,
Looks great with those hoops
& I love the bunched second tie.

These are too much silky beautifulness :whiteflag: Your monochrome JL rainbow, lT worn with stripes, that serene Equator... and I think we’re twinners on the CdF
Thank you all for the Mousquetaires love. I always try to show a lot of the amazing miniatures. I nearly forgot about the ascot knot. Who remembers @MYH's hilarious demo with the cantaloupe? (We miss you, @MYH)

Well done! :dothewave:

Thanks, cookie! I like this knot.
What we love about Ledoux - the amazing detail and naturalism. HORSES, old-fashioned themes, non-digital artistry....

Dropping by to say HELLLOOOO! We still have power (knock on wood) and one last night of truly brutal temps. Shutting down anything not needed in a minute but today I wore (and had much needed nap while wearing) a favorite of mine- Cavalcadour Fleuri.

While I do find H d'Origny designs pretty, overall I'm not extremely drawn to the work to the point of wild purchasing abandon. The main thing that connects me to this scarf is the floral work, which looks like it has been embroidered on  and really suits the curvy backdrop making (for me) a harmonious composition that would be lacking if it were just one or the other.

View attachment 4992121
Brrrr... I hope this freezing weather is over soon! I also love those designs that have trompe l’oeil embroidery. This one is so amazing

Mythiques Phoenix by fave designer Toutsy. I have (cough, cough) several of this design. Cotton stole today. The bird is very brightly coloured, but I usually get just the palm fronds when I wrap it round my neck for warmth.
View attachment 4992237
And speaking of palm fronds, that's Neighbour's Cat posing as a palm fruit under that frond. The others are flowers blooming in and around my home on the first day of Lunar New Year. Flowers symbolize the spring which the new year heralds. Top left corner, Dracaena fragrans, known locally as "metal tree" which rarely blooms and, when it does, is considered an omen of great fortune. Next is a small white flower - first bloom of my chilli plant. Then the flower and fruit of noni trees which grow along the roadside. Bottom right corner is a mango in my garden surrounded by mango flowers, then Oncidium or Golden Shower orchids which are dangling from a neighbour's fence, growing happily without soil. And finally, tubular purple blooms on an air plant Tillandsia which DH resurrected from a dried clump that someone threw out.
View attachment 4992240
I always enjoy your posts! Phoenix is such a marvel! I love to see those magnificent feathers and palm fronds as well!

Ardmore artists belong to my favourite designers, so SOTD is Savanah Dance in its smallest format for a Zoom day!

The only gavroche I own is this design... So tiny and packs a huge punch

So elegant and delicate and love the knot

Yesterday I wore Ledoux’s Trois Mousquetaires—before and after lunch: View attachment 4992381View attachment 4992382
Ties so well and love the earrings with it

Not on theme BUT Happy Mardi Gras, Y'all! No parades this year (alas!) except for this one on my little Folle Parade Zoom gavroche. Rocking the Purple Green and Gold today with beads, mask and king cake. Many people are doing "Yardi Gras" this year and decorating their houses like floats. You just can't keep a good party city down! Hope everyone has power and is staying warm and safe today.View attachment 4992436
Oh yes! I saw pictures of the decorated houses! Simply amazing... Great outfit and mask to celebrate

Tuesday - so it must be a Two-4-Tuesday!
It’s really had to pick a favorite with H, there’s just so much to love. Today, I’ll show two of my faves that are a little off the beaten path.
First - Florence Manlik. Last year I posted some of her artwork - it was so beautiful, and so lyric with its sweeps and swirls of color. And that carries right into my favorite scarves.

Pelages et Camouflage and Coupon Indienes - who needs a 140cm when you can have a 180cm?
View attachment 4992514

(Running off laughing madly!! :giggle:
All are amazing. I love that velvety deep shade of blue of Equateur and the dip dye is heavenly. But, the queen is the BdG Finesse moussie! Can’t get over how you tied the Pelages and Coupons together... Works beautifully

Love these classics worn so stylishly, and perfectly accessorized. I especially love the fur cuffs with L’Hiver en Poste

I am also a big fan of Florence Manlik! So far I only have her Tresors de Medors, but I also love her Faune Letree (which I found in adorable gav form off TRR, but had to return because of the condition  ), BdG en Finesse, and Etude pour un Parure de Gala for their fine, almost etched, detail.

Archive pic of TdM because it's cooooooold, and you guys don't want to see my ridiculous get-up for staying warm.

It is sublime! What wonderful play of patterns and dreamy shades!

Lent begins tomorrow, so it's time for a parade with La Folle Parade. This was the first scarf I purchased from h.com and it is also the first Hermes scarf from French artist Claire Fanjul. Before purchasing I took a look at the other work done by this young artist. I loved her drawings of imaginative worlds and the crazy drawings on ostrich eggs. But, it was her edgy drawings on ceramic skulls that made me comfortable pulling the trigger to purchase the scarf. I continue to follow the work of this most interesting artist.

No surprise from this Ledoux lover-
:hs: HORSES! (and dogs :dog:)

His illustrations so beautifully & accurately render equine conformation and often captures personality. Each horse tends to have a unique expression ideally shown in Les Robes:

He definitely knows anatomy and designs
date from when more screens were used for the subtlety & complexity to create a more oil painting-type effect, which I love. I also appreciate the details in the historical carriages, costume & settings. As a Jane Austen fan so many equestrian designs seem rich in detail from that time period (or thereabouts) which is fun for me.
