This design makes an amazing neutral. I’ve not seen this colorway modeled before and love this contrasting hem.

Now I think I remember! I think you posted once a pic of this shawl, and months after that, it is this very photo that made me decide of the CW I should buy!

Today I’m wearing my favorite neutral color scarf - Projets Carres au Crayon scarf 90 (Sable/Turquoise/Brun)...It may sound crazy but I like changing the knotting styles throughout the day...

Very cool — I don’t see Lisa he’s that much, so it’s always interesting.
I believe it’s not really a technique — matte blanc is a type of opaque dye that is used to add that whiteness. It sits on top of the fabric, which makes it feel more textured. It’s similar to adding white gouache to a watercolor painting.

Please tell him Chiff is fully back to his normal self after his misadventure in December. And he’s put on a bit of weight, svelt though he is.

My 1st scarf of the new season arrived yesterday and spent the entire day on my neck! I failed to take a photo but am sharing the yellow washed Zambeze with two other yellows in my collection. I am delightfully surprised to find that a washed scarf can be this vivid.

That’s a pretty cool Fleurs d’Hiver.

The other day when I went riding in the morning, I specifically took the SUV because it had heated seats and it was 50F outside... sadly, the car doesn’t have a heated steering wheel

I’m not 100% on the name, but they came out 2 years ago - it’s like a buckle and they’re heavy.
I have both - gold and silver.

-Relatives that inherited scarves letting them go (with no idea how to valuate them)?
-Resellers trying to cash in on store closures/shoppers from home?


Right? Wasn’t that long ago when only grails or very rare vintage designs commanded those prices. I’ve seen very ordinary designs/cw’s double in asking prices. I assume they’re Sellers that have no idea how to value (b/c let’s face it- there’s no common resources available). Upside is that if you look at sold prices I think most are pretty in line with what we’re used to.

A winter connection in my SOTD: Ex Libris en Kimonos in a cool blue. The traditional patterns on kimono fabric usually have auspicious associations. One of the flowers in ELenK is the plum blossom which, in Oriental culture, symbolizes winter and perseverance, because it flowers when snow is still falling.

SOTD, scarf mail and on-theme with a cozy new-to-me CS losange, Cavald’or, in lovely shades of gris, rose, and mint with a bit of berry color pop! So, I braced myself and went out into the bitter Floridian tundra this afternoon armed with a CSGM... Honestly folks, this is winter in the tropics: windy, sunny and 60 degrees F... Still wore a sweater cape and threw Fouets et Badines over my shoulders

You are sweet to say that - I don't really associate pink with winter. Several years ago this scarf was on the rehome pile until I wore it here and had soooooooooo many compliments. Now I enjoy the weird pleasure of it!
Also - good point about checking out the "sold" prices. Maybe these sellers will figure it out and bring prices back in line with reality.
