Begging your indulgence as I excitedly post some mod shots of my beautiful new Ombrelles et Parapluies-- 100% inspired, enabled and facilitated by our amazing Croisette. :flowers: :flowers: I wanted an umbrella themed scarf and when I saw this on her I knew I must hunt for it! She pointed me right in the direction of the H forest where it lurked. It is just exactly like wearing Renoir's Luncheon of the Boating Party around your neck-- including a man in a straw boater hat! This kind of experience is one of the very real joys of Scarflandia...:heart:

I had a very rigid "90 or bust" mentality coming into tPF but thank goodness, y'all tempted me out of that foolishness. I bought a plisse and tried @turfnsurf's wonderful tutorial. All went really well until I tried to make a tiny adjustment and the scarf went all slinky on me! @Karenska's always look beautiful too. Here is my new-to-me Dancing Pearls with a pearl scarf ring and "a la Turf" :winkiss:

Beautiful! Your description is so true. It’s a painting on a museum wall around our necks with certain designs like this one. The people and clothing are so great. Congratulations!

I own two colorways, and I wouldn't mind more. This scarf works with many colors and in all seasons.

Still doing holiday gatherings. Today I see my beloved aunt and cousin for lunch and gift-giving, tomorrow a visit with my brother and Friday a get-together at my home for a brunch and mimosas. Congratulations, Lkbnola, it’s a stunner. So lovely and the Renoir reference is so apt! When I read your comment, I immediately thought of another amazing canvas by Renoir, “Les Parapluies”.

With no disrespect to Alice Shirley or her fans, of which I am one, I feel she was over-represented in my collection so 2021 was a year of adjustment. I had several Mountain Zebras and ended up keeping only a bright yellow/orange (DH's favorite one!) I kept only the light pink Into the Canadian Wild and gifted my red hemmed one to DD. I had two Zebra Pegasus 90s plus a maxi twilly and ended up keeping (again) the brighter 90 and adding a new format, a soft blue giant triangle :heart: I also was delighted to add Appaloosa des Steppes-- a design I originally shunned because of the eye. I thought I would absolutely have to have a DuJA in my collection, but am content with my Esprit de la Foret. I also adore my Three Graces Zoom gav. My Shirley collex feels done, though I would not say no to a ZP moussie if it insisted on following me home!

All lovely, but that AdS is too gorgeous. Such amazing pastels that shine forth against black. Marvelous.
