That is 100% accurate. The anniversary of my little tortie girl’s death is coming up next week, it will be one year. She was such a firecracker. My vet says that torties are known to display the most feral behaviors of any domesticated cat. Here is a picture of my little tortie and her much sweeter brother in the sun. It was always so hard to capture her beauty in a photo!View attachment 4965911
She was gorgeous... So sweet to have both as companions

One of my very favorite Alice Shirley designs, Appaloosa des Steppes, in canard/framboise/marine. I read in a 5/17/18 article in Homes and Interiors of Scotland that Ms Shirley was inspired to create this design because of one theory that the American Appaloosa descends from wild spotted horses in Kyrgyzstan. There is a film that I need to stream called True Appaloosa by Conor Woodman that chronicles a NZ Appaloosa breeder and horsewoman’s trek to the Asian Steppes to research her theory that the breed entered NA via the Bering Strait. It’s absolutely fascinating and I look very forward to seeing it. Behind this leaping boy (I’ve decided he’s male; I have named him Azamat, which means “majesty” or “glory”) are the geometrically arranged ancient tribal patterns of Shrydak rugs, created by kyrgyz women who felt, cutout and hand-sew the wool used to make these gorgeous rugs. Yes, she adapted the tribal patterns in such an inspired way here to create a most striking design... Ties like a dream! Love your CW

It's a vintage celluloid sewing notion that I picked up on etsy and thought I could repurpose for scarves. Luckily the inside surface is indeed smooth.

Oooh I love the pale green celluloid as a scarf or shawl ring xcs! I’d wear that for sure! And I don’t normally fo scarf rings!

It does indeed!

It's a 90. According to seton, Ashanti was issued in 90 finesse, moussie and CSGM.

You can see the design very clearly in this pic of the navy CW in H Scarf Guides

It looks like a true finesse with the design in just one colour. No bleedthrough to the back. Maybe @marietouchet can tell us more.
I took a chance on buying this because the fine lines in gold didn't really show up well on the burnt orange in the seller's pics. I wasn't sure what I'd be getting.

This is awesome xcs. Where can I find a similar one? Im such an etsy fan.
