We spent the day as is our synagogue's custom helping out with meals at a local shelter so the staff could be with their families on their holiday and then we spent the evening celebrating with our own friends and family! I wore Noel au Faubourg, a cherished Christmas "foster scarf" that I am lucky enough to have in my custody. Hoping all of Scarflandia had a joyous day! Thanks to all for your lovely wishes.

So pretty with the silver trio ring as an accent to the icy blue.

The red Noël is so pretty! ... and thank you!

That is a wonderful cw of this design for this season @bunnycat!

This is just perfect @Redbirdhermes and what a nice idea to honor the "elves" that make the holiday possible through their hard work!

Thank you so much @Croisette7!

Love this @Nomad! Great colors together...

Just stunning-- your Christmas parade of beauties is fabulous @Living.la.vida.fifi -- we are so lucky to share them.

This is such an absolutely sweet and lovely thing to say @Maedi. Thank you. :hugs:

Beautiful greens @laurenad!

Thank you @Nahreen!

A beautiful post and sentiment @xincinsin!

The ornaments are lovely but your Christmas Eve outfit is perfection @momasaurus! I love the lace top and star earrings!

This whole delightful post makes me smile @Iflola!

Thank you so much!

This is a truly inspired choice @Karenska!

This is just a fabulous, fabulous look @Cookiefiend! Hope you had a lovely day!

You were my inspiration for this one @Karenska! So delighted to have become twins just in time for this week.

How lovely to pick up the purple in your quintessential red Christmas scarf @Redbirdhermes! I always love your color mixing.

I need to look up that design @Awillow-- it looks so festive and serene at once!

This is fabulous! Amazing colors and another perfect pin @Croisette7!

Wow, what a way to end the most festive of all theme weeks! These are all so beautiful in these colors @Living.la.vida.fifi and thank you so much once again for your imaginative and fun leadership this week. I know my sense of a holiday scarf is much much more than the three I usually rely on for this month. Everyone has been so creative and brimming with spirit!
Thank you!

In this 21st year of the 21st century, which were your new loves and all-time faves out of the 2000+ scarf designs H has issued?

Happy Sunday, dear Scarfies and a wonderful last week of the year to all! Another year has flown by and, here on SOTD, we have counted our days in silk. No matter what life has thrown our way this year, the passion we share for our beloved Hermès carrés has provided a source of comfort and joy.

We have worn our scarves well and our enthusiastic sharing here has been exciting, educational, and inspirational. As one more year draws to a close, we once again take stock of our silken treasures and tally up our acquisitions.

This week, let us share our favorite scarves of 2021: both those treasures that entered our collection this year as well as those older silks in our drawers that continue to take our breath away.

My first scarf purchase of the year was a design that was reissued by Hermès for the Spring/Summer 2021 collection:Ardmore Artist’s La Marche du Zambeze. Though I got the yellow CW, I revisited my white CW from the original issue as a result and discovered that it hasn’t lost its charm for me.
7541B9F1-3988-4E58-A988-6D4F070F19B4.jpeg

Though this was not as prolific a shawl year for me as 2020, I did acquire a few stunners. My first shawl this year was the black CW of the glorious Tous les Bateaux du Monde. Almost immediately after I scored the shawl I found the blue CW of the 90. My other two 90s of this design are perennial favorites and these two further proved just how much I adore this Aline Honoré design.

Aline Honoré is my favorite Hermès designer and not only was I lucky to add those Bateaux to my collection but was also thrilled to have these two wonderful CWs of Le Voyage du Pytheas come my way.

Yet another Aline Honoré favorite of mine is Sieste au Paradis. After owning three CWs of the 90 and three of the giant silk formats, I happened upon this CW of the giant silk edition at a store this summer and so glad I got it. I do not tire of this beauty which is especially dramatic in this format

This was also a productive year for mousselines. After loving Tapis Persans so much in the giant silk format, I finally found the design as a moussie and it has become a favorite.

But I must say that 2021 was The Year of New Formats for me as I acquired my first pareo, muffler, plisees and moussie stoles this year. All new to me and very exciting additions. The first of the two plisees I got this year is Early America in this sunny CW. I must admit that I need more time to experiment with this format, but do see the possibilities. It’s not a wonder that I ventured out with this design as it is one of my all-time favorites and one that I own as a 90 in several CWs. Later in the week I will share my other new format newbies.

I am looking forward to all the fabulous scarves that we will share as we say farewell to 2021 in our own special silken way.

As always a wonderful intro, I have several plisee and look forward to your experiments as all know rarely do I get an amazing knot unless by sheer accident. My former boss (a certain public figure who ran a particular department of education) was quite found of H scarves and often wore plisee, unfortunately we never had a moment to speak about her collection.

Thank you for another marvelous introduction! You have certainly been a tireless Scarf Mistress at the year's end! I love the final paragraph of your intro as I very much feel the need to evaluate and take a moment after what has been an exciting (and admittedly excessively enthusiastic) year of scarf acquisition. TPF has helped me shape my collection in truly magical ways and I am very grateful. I decided to collect by artist, and this year I concentrated on Annie Faivre, Aline Honore and Alice Shirley. For Annie Faivre I added Domes Celeste, Maitres de la Foret, Jardin a Sintra as well as two Colorway add/replace for Libres Commes l'Air and Promenade du Platon. My absolute favorite of all is this one-- a beautiful blue and grey Cavaliers du Caucasse. While there is always more to love and want, I feel I now have her designs that speak to me...

Thank you @Living.la.vida.fifi for a great intro! This year has been dangerous to my wallet having discovered this group - so many designs and artists and colors and knots to explore. Alas unless something is in the boutique the older designs must be purchased to try on, and some have been hits while many others have been misses. I’m honing in on the colors that work best for me.

I was on Ban Island for about 3 years prior to joining this group and was about to divest myself of my entire collection. Then I discovered Jan Bajtlik. Here are a few that have made permanent homes in my scarf drawer

It hasn’t been chilly enough to don my two Cosmographia CSGMs. Perhaps in 2022!

Tomorrow I shall post my Alice Shirleys!

Thank you, @Living.la.vida.fifi , for your delightful hosting for the last few weeks and again here this week. Seeing your wonderful collection is always a pleasure.

One of the first scarves that I purchased, and the first scarf I purchased in more than one colorway, is Ledoux's Scotland. This red and green version is perfect for a small family holiday gathering today. Scotland remains a all-time favorite.

The college I attended was of Scottish heritage and had a pipe band. You could frequently hear a piper practicing as a bagpipe is best played outside.

Later, I received my graduate degree in the Badger State. I get a kick out of the badger sporran on this scarf.
