This one is truly charming also @Croisette7 and that pin makes me smile every time I see it!

Great scarf-on-site @Redbirdhermes and also your green Monarch looks wonderful!

True dat @Cookiefiend! The Patisserie is coming next season as a gav, I think? If so, perfect for you!

Thank you sweet Bunny-Grinch!

This is just a beautiful shawl @bunnycat. Stunning really. A Santa-worthy sled full of color and design everywhere you look! Take that, Grinch!

 That is Grinch post Who-ville.... :roflmfao:....

And here's Clic Clac as I wore it to drop off my Granola Gift bags (my house will smell like maple syrup and toasted oats for days!). This time, DH was all compliments ;) He really liked @official_cranleyplace's "twisted choker knot"...

Thank you sweetheart! :hugs:
10/10! Lipstick’s gorgeous cookie! What is it?!
Thank you! It’s Hermes Rouge Bleu ❤️❤️❤️
Fantastic pairing with this rust colored sweater. By the time, I was ready to jump onto the rust bandwagon, the sweaters were all gone.
Thank you! It’s actually a cranberry red color! ❤️

When I pulled out my SOTD this morning I realized that I have more red/ green scarves than I thought.
So, here is my not-SOTD Instruction du Roi in a bold red with gold, orange and an even bolder green Which I put on for the picture.
And my actual SOTD: Les Tambours. Red, white, gold and a teeny tiny bit of green. My cardigan is dark green, btw.

Both perfect for the holidays and so rich and sumptuous

Four months ago, a baby panda was born in the Singapore Zoo. So today, I'm wearing a rose red panda tie because this is the little tyke's first Christmas!

This is the most adorable thing!

So yesterday I wore my red and green (and khaki) Gloire de Guillaume CSGM, very casually tied. It’s kind of Christmassy.View attachment 5277847
As you know, it is a treasure! What a wonderful CW! Must be a joy to wear

I wore this new-to-me Clic Clac dip-dye to do some shopping and holiday errands last Friday and my DH asked if I had wandered out of a J Crew catalogue and needed directions back! Despite his snarkiness, I am reprising the OOTD for our theme and even plan to double down later with plaid pants and a green sweater. Tis the season, after all! I am very happy to have a "red" Holiday scarf!

I love the look… I adore plaid and also the color red, soI am sold… I’ve actually been wishing to add a solid red scarf to my collection

such a delightful winter design… And, I hadn’t noticed that there are cherubim on the corners! Makes it even more perfect

Going green today with Monarch.

And, yesterday's scarf on site at the fireside with a red Au Coin du Feu.
View attachment 5277963
Love both… so appropriate for the holidays, especially the Au Coin du Feu with that delightful print and vivid red shade. Love the scarf on site and hope you had a wonderful time

The theme has nothing to do with Xmas, but the colors are very festive in my Danse des Amazons. :D So snuggly....

Love the way you tied the Bonsai!
And I always get into a tizzy when I buy scarves with lots of red and green. I keep thinking they might be too Christmassy.

Thank you, Susie and @momasaurus. I adore my H silks but I must say that my little Echo holly beauty gets a workout, too. Not H but very soft and lovely silk and the colors are so festive.

19 Dec 2021 Holly & Ivy: Festive Red and Green scarves

Happy Fourth Sunday of Advent, dear Scarfies!
As I will be attending my favorite Christmas concert this evening, I can’t help but to share the lyrics of an ancient tune that the marvelous ensemble Seraphic Fire will present tonight: The Holly and the Ivy:

“The holly and the ivy,
When they are both full grown,
Of all trees that are in the wood,
The holly bears the crown”

I couldn’t find a YouTube video of Seraphic Fire singing this beautiful Christmas song, but did find one of them singing the Coventry Carol which we will also hear tonight:

Here are a couple of photos of the last Seraphic Fire Christmas concert I attended in 2019 which includes a picture of the program. After last year’s hiatus, it will be a treat to attend tonight.

As we welcome the Christmas festivities with great joy and anticipation, we will undoubtedly wear our holiday-themed scarves to all of our events. There are so many wonderful and iconic winter and Christmas-themed silks by Hermès that we have a wealth of designs to choose from.

But, no doubt, we also have green and red scarves that we love to wear at this time of year for they are festive and have that holiday vibe, whether they are holiday-themed or not.
One of these scarves for me is Fleurs d’Ecosse in this red and green CW. The tartan patterns also add a festive vibe. Though not exactly a Christmas scarf it will be perfect to wear to tonight’s Christmas concert.

Then, here is one of my favorite winter/holiday-themed scarves of all time: the charming Neige d’Antan with its delightful revelers in the snow and snowflakes and holly graphics.

Finally, I would like to stretch the topic a bit to allow us to display those holiday and winter-themed scarves in our collections that we may own in a non-traditional CW. One such winter-themed scarf I own is the fabulous Fleurs d’Hiver. With its snowflakes, reindeer, edelweiss and woodland creatures in icy colors, it is a delight to wear at this time of year.

This will undoubtedly be an exciting and fun week as we all share our beloved holiday and winter-themed silks

Thank you for the introduction and showing those gorgeous examples, Fifi!

Thank you dear @Living.la.vida.fifi for your beautiful closing post to last week's theme and this fantastic and festive post to open the new week! I love each of your examples-- they seem enduring, classic and joyful and I am glad of the expansion of the theme by the example of your beautiful blue Fleurs d'Hiver. Blue and silver are certainly festive and seasonal and for me they are also classic Hanukkah colors (though it has passed early this year). I feel these are all light-filled traditions in the dark mid-winter so I can't wait to see the cheer and fun this week.
Since I acquired this festive La Patisserie Francaise, I have my own little holiday tradition of wearing it to a Cookie Exchange. Finally doing that again this year IRL! Not technically red or green but full of sugary sweetness and whimsey. Plus, my top is very very green ;) (Knot is the "Zebra Bow Knot" by @Yoon daily scarf)

Great for baking/exchanging cookies!! a scarf on site!

I missed most of last week, except for commenting a few times... :crybaby: I have no idea where the time went on me, but go it did....

So, I'm calling this one a crossover from last week since it has some green on it. But also, most Armore Artist scarf designs tend to be based on their ceramic art they sell, so it would have been great for last week too.

And, of course, it would not be Xmas-time without my black black heart embracing the Grinch for at least a day.

"You're a foul one, Mr Grinch.... You're a nasty-wasty skunk!" (plus... green...but a sickly mean green... )

PS- I still have no holiday themed or winter themed scarves, after 8 years....
It is the most wonderful green scarf I know!

Happy holidays everyone!
I have 3 scarves that I basically rotate through during December.

Fabulous on the red!!

I realize I have very little green and no red in my collection. Rocabar to the rescue today:smile:View attachment 5278424
Lovely ensemble!

I’m woefully behind. It’s been hot and humid in Texas and Christmas weekend is supposed to be in the 80s. Not a lot of scarf wearing for me. Today was an odd cooler day so I took advantage and threw on something green. I don’t have any holiday scarves so a flying zebra is as festive as it gets.
