Thank you, and yes. I have always loved red. My mother tells that as a young girl, if i got to choose, I would choose the red coat over the blue coat. Apparently, when I got my first pair of little red rainboots, I slept with them. I suspect my practical mother put an end to that once they were being worn outdoors.
Agree with moma and red on you! Gorgeous piece.

oh.
my.
Gosh!!! :faint:

Oh Croisette! This is fantastic - the color is gorgeous!
Thank you, Cookie!

Beautiful, Susie!

School run today - my SOTD & on theme - L’hiver en poste. Complete with kitten stuffed animal (not on theme). You all are killing it as usual this week!
Your daughter is so sweet! ... beautiful green L‘hiver and your cateye sunnies!

Good First Sunday of December Scarflandia!
5 December 2021 - Sense of Rhythm - scarves with a repeated pattern or design structure.

Rhythm means ‘any regular recurring motion’. But we all know it means so much more.
It’s also the timing of events on a human scale, the spoken word in poetry (though you can also hear it in your mind) and lyrics, musical sounds, and the steps of a dance - queing Dick Clark from American Bandstand (a blast from my past)
View attachment 5266456
It’s got a good beat, and you can dance to it! Woot!

Rhythm can also be a pattern, a regular repetition in a design. Our brains are wired to find patterns everywhere, it can help us make sense out of chaos.
Speaking of chaos - Tohu Bohu - an excellent example of making sense out of chaos

(Of course it can also make us see faces in the wallpaper - ask me why I don’t have any wallpaper at my house - which isn’t such a good thing.:panic:)

A design that shows “repetition” in its design is Cuivreries, it’s a pleasing layout of horse bridles and so easy on the eye.

Anywho - this week we find our sense of rhythm!
Dancing not required but always welcome!

A wonderful intro, Cookiefiend, and oh, so true. If Tohu Bohu means chaos, perhaps tied it becomes a bit more ordered. Or not, with those crazy pleats . My very favorite plisse.

I hope no one minds an exquisite - and on-topic - video of the Grand Pas de Deux in Nutcracker danced by ABT greats Isabella Boylston and James Whiteside during last holiday season’s lockdown. Talk about rhythm - and moving through space and time. Enjoy!

Thank you for your compliment, Croisette ! You tambours sparkles like your brooch, and this CI has gorgeous colours!

ROFL!

I must remember that quote!

Can you imagine that I once had the chance to buy this pre-owned at a reasonable price…and passed? Seeing this wonderful scarf on you, dear Croisette, makes me kick myself even more.

Beautiful scarf and beautiful knot!

I love the Tresors!

Of course, snow as a pattern…clever!

Great colours!

So do I…and TPFers would be the first to know!

What a nice scarf, looks so great with your red sweater! The white on the scarf matches the snow.

These are just my colours. You look fab!!!

Thank you, Croisette!

Both scarves I‘d leave Ban Island for. Marvellous knots.
Thank you kindly, Susie!

Very pretty colour pairing!!

Wednesday - brought to you by Pretty Things Not Neccessarily In a Row, or Even In a Pattern, But None the Less, Here We Are Because - Cookie.

First Pretty has an Index - the friend of everyone searching for something. Not in a row - because who’s mind works like that - but of the same genus… and a lovely one at that.
Index Palmarum (wearing today ❤)

This Pretty has lots of boats all afloat, mostly in lines, but it also has the most fantastic black and white border full of images. You could find your heart in there!

You are right with Tous les bateaux! We are twins, and it looks great on black and tied like this (my attempts at that knot were not that successful so far).

OMG. You are so lucky to have two @Agrume! It is perfect for the holidays in any cw but this one even more so! Like a silk Advent Calendar full of goodies! (And thank you for the compliment on Beloved India-- such a lively scarf!)

What an amazing green on this beauty @SusieAugusta!

Well @Cookiefiend, they are both marvelous and like day and night (you see what I did there, right? :winkiss: ) and I dream of both. Their siren call is strong. Maybe someday :girlsigh:

Thank you @SusieAugusta -- I have a weakness for the color Anthracite and I love the design so win-win. I too have passed on reasonably priced scarfs only to se them here and wish I hadn't! I think it is a "recreational hazard" of visiting here! ;)
Being back in NOLA means two scarf days are a regular thing...Actual SOTD for a chilly afternoon: Zebra Pegasus triangle on its way to an in-person Mah Jong Game (yay!) and a bit later, indoors. It is fun to tie! View attachment 5268936View attachment 5268937
Thank you so much, LKBNOLA! Your Zebra looks phantastic on that dark purple top!

Maaahvelous Intro! I adore your Tohu Bohu and have been looking long timw for thisCW inspired by you! What a fun week!

I adore this design and it is so Christmasy in this CW! The border almost looks like a folk art snowflake design

Even the title is musical… Ties so beautifully! Great CW on you

So apropos for the season! One of the best trompe l’oeils on an H scarf!

I love this design and am happy to own the grey CW but have always loved the red… So vibrant and easy to wear!

I adore this design and that is a great knot to show the pattern and the borders!

Sigh… Gorgeous! Such an elegant and wearable Cw!

Perfect for the theme and so beautiful

All of them great examples for the week… My fav is the fab Chromatique

What a beautiful Tyger! You were lucky to find this beauty

Perfect winter design

Such vibrant beautiful shades on the Coup and what a beautiful moussie!

Both perfect to wear for December

Magnificent!

Oooh, I love it in this CW! This is such a complex design that I feel looks wonderful in the more subtle palette

All fabulous! I adore the Circuit 24 and am on the hunt for a Gloria moussie… The design shines in this format!

I’ve always felt that Zabavushka is the perfect holiday scarf… To me it has that Santa’s workshop, winter wonderland feel.. and especially in this red Cw

One if my favorites classic designs… It is magnificent! And, I am happy to be your twin on this masterpiece

Both are so amazing! Hapoy to be your Palmarum cousin and Bateaux twin… Masterful designs

Love this so much! Amazing Cw
Thank you kindly, Fifi!

Those pleats are a pattern in itself, great to see how they change a scarf.

What a wonderful blned of colors! Such great movement and panache!

a 2 scarf day for me, too, as it is rather cold outside, and I needed an extra layer for cycling. Dots on EL Parisiennes and Acte III and on myself.

Oh my, aren’t you chic, Agrume! :faint:
That blouse, a beauty, would pair spectacularly with my latest and greatest SCARF MAIL :yahoo:- woohoo!!
I think it needs no introduction :graucho: ….
Noir/jaune d’or side with bits of radiant blue showing:

And reverse bleu/blanc with jaune d’or hem.

I’m beyond grateful. And I’m on-theme because can anything beat the rhythm and celestial beauty of the night sky?
