thank you, Croisette!

gorgeous colours, Croisette

Good morning everyone. I have won't really have much scarf time this week but am taking a little break to admire all the amazing mod shots and photos. Everyone's KO offerings and Americana are just amazing. I hope that later in the week I ca pull out my own Kachinas and the sliver of Pani on my Carre en Carre. I don't have much but here is my Pelages et Camouflages to honor the North American fur traders. Surely they would have worn actual skins around their necks but I will be happy with the silk version. Apologies for the post-and-run.

lovely, Lanit!

Scarf Mail! I found this cotton/silk mix 100 scarf in the Men's department, and decided to try this format. Fortunately, our heat wave broke yesterday, with cool weather and rains expected today. The cotton/silk mix is so summery that I plan to keep looking for attractive scarves with this fabric.

The scarf is Carrick Bend, which refers to a knot used to join two heavy ropes and has probably been used by sailors for millennia. The design shows up as a Spring/Summer 2020 design, but the manufacture date on my scarf is January 2021. Perhaps the printing of this design was delayed by COVID-19.

As the Carrick Bend knot is used the world over, there is no specific US connection. However, the knot forms an attractive design that is often used as a decorative element, including on some US Navy diving helmets. So, there we are.

I‘m so happy to see you wearing this edition dear XCS. I wore mine today too! i don’t know how many OG are still hanging out on this thread, but these knots were the inspiration of our dear @markova from eons ago. Here with SE SF Cosmographia Universalis , twinning with our dear scarf mistress.

Your CUs are spiffing, Xincinsin and Lanit!

Thank you, @Croisette7 , @marietouchet , and @Agrume . And, thank you, All, for the likes.

Fascinating tag , top line is CARRE 100 TW DOUCEUR
I guess that means a carré in 100cm size, in soft twill TW DOUCEUR
some new fabric, or treatment ? Men’s dept only ?

gorgeous design been looking at that one for a while now , the rope is just the right size, the twists are not too small or too large, love this design on you

ok, the web site says it is a cotton-silk blend, perhaps that is what they mean by TW DOUCEUR (algodon is peeking out from the caretag, behind the sales tag)

i happen to adore the men’s cotton-silk blends, super soft, but gee whiz, i would love to see that on the sales tag … I am being a grump

Here is the caretag for Carrick Bend. I adore the soft drape of this cotton/silk blend. And, I agree that the scarf pattern design and size is most agreeable. Here is my scarf worn out and about today, just quickly draped around my neck, along with my rumpled linen jacket and linen pants. The scarf is definitely the best part of my outfit!

A Bandana is part of the cowboy life - even a pink one with a flowered hat wearin’ Tigre Royal Fleuri!

I love your collection of white blouses that show off the scarves so nicely. While I *own* some white blouses, I cannot wear them if I am going to be anywhere near food or drink, and that is basically only when I'm asleep, so.......

Trying to catch up a bit-- @MAGJES, @Dupsy, @Agrume, @Cookiefiend, @Pirula, @Snausages, @momasaurus, @Redbirdhermes, @hotgalaxy and @xincinsin -- y'all are killing it this week! Such pretty and fun looks-- tennis/base balls, braids, bandanas, red, white and blue beauties, new men's scarves, denim-- the list of Americana just keeps growing more creative. @Croisette7, your Oliver collection is nonpareil-- simply gorgeous. You and @lanit have that superbly wonderful neutral cw of Les Danse des Indiens that I love (and covet). I can only join the Kachinas Krewe with my wash version-- sisters with @scarf1 and many others on this marvelous design. Seeing this array there is simply no denying Oliver's artistry and admiration for his subjects. Always learning more and more on this thread. Grateful for the silky respite this evening and for the enthusiasm and humor, too.
