I‘ve just been reading and admiring everybody’s contributions over the past week because I‘ve been quite busy. There were so many treasures on display here, it‘s really been a treat! I had to get some work done because I wanted to take a couple of days off and now I‘m back again in Venice, once again with my mother - and my new to me Rialto came with me. So this post is more or less a belated contribution to last week’s theme. It‘s so hot and humid right now in Venice that my scarf mostly had to do double duty as a belt.

Scarf mail with new-to-me Coupons Indiennes in such a ‘me’ colorway! It’s been well-loved so the silk is vv soft but I’m thrilled to give it its next home

Thanks, bunny! Two more weeks of MIA for me. Just came down to vacation with my sister and her family for a few days. Then I head over to Greece to spend some time with my brother. So lovely to be able to travel again. No scarves came with me on this leg as it is all beach and bike riding time with only a small carry on!

Thanks, fifi! I love your colorways if this one too. I never saw the olive/orange in the boutique. I was supposed to see it when I was on a work trip, but then came the pandemic...

And though I tend to go for more colorful silks in the 90 size, this more deeply toned (a little more unisex) Animapolis remains a favorite.

Daimyō were Military Landlords in the 10th to mid-19th century Japan - and men.

Per the internet and Wikipedia, a woman could be named Castellan (or commander) by a Diamyō. I don’t need no stinking Diamyō to name me commander!
