My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Love the styling in the first pic

Thank you kindly Cordeliere!

My SOTD is my Faubourg Rainbow CSGM, which accompanied me to a celebratory dinner at a wonderful Japanese restaurant. I don't own the other formats but I know it was issued in a gavroche format (featuring only one corner of the design) and a twilly.

That's my fav of that design. It really came out best in the CSGM!

Happy 2020 Scarflandia!

So happy to see the enthusiasm for the new thread!

Let's just cut to the chase then with this week's theme!

05 Jan 2020 20/20 Vision: Reissues Micro and Macro: Show us a design that has been issued in more than one format.

This week is so easy it would be a real shock if someone doesn't have something that fits! H has issued many many scarves in micro and macro version, and zooms or other alterations of format. Sometimes the change of scale makes a scarf that you hadn't really had on your radar in to a must have, or maybe you are a fan of a particular design or color scheme and so a change in format or size can make you say "yes please!" to it again.

One of that works this way is Brazil, because I love the feather treatment on it. I's been offered in so many formats I probably can't name them all (twilly, maxi twilly, 90, 140 CSGM, mousseline, 45...) I have it in the original Maxi Twilly, but managed to add on the giant Dip Dye Zoom as well. (I was supposed to sell the MT because of my 1 only clause but gave in and kept it because I love the feathers...)

Panthera Pardus has been issued in several formats from pocket square to 90 to CSGM to 140silk:

Flamingo Party is another that has been given the multi format treatment, tho no zoom that I know of. It's always a favorite. Here in pareo and also maxi twilly:

And of course, kachinas, issued and ressissued as a fan favorite many times:

Dear Bunny, so clever to combine Panthère with the green Ex Libris. I also love the way you are wearing the Maxi Twilly. Twins on the two Brazils but in different colorations.

Parures de Samurai, my favourite design already introduced by lanit. After the classic 90cm format and the CSGM I hope H introduces a giant silk and a moussie...a girl can dream :)

Hello everyone, and so happy to embark on this journey of scarf loving and sharing with all of you lovely people!
Since the SOTD 2019 closed before I had a chance to comment, I’d like to first of all thank all of the scarf mistresses, @xincinsin @bunnycat @Cookiefiend and @ABQ2ATL and all guests for such a wonderful experience here.
And, also, there were a couple of posts that I wanted to comment on:
@MAGJES I just love your Ailes de la Soie and now I’ve added your CW to my wishlist and
@Joannadyne what a wonderful parade of spectacular carrés! I was lucky to see some of them first-hand and try on on your visit... the Cheval Phoenix, Quintessence and Rayures Mexicains and now I am convinced I’d love to own some moussies... such glorious silks! I forgot to add that particular CW of Sieste au Paradis, which was actually my first purchase of 2019... Love that you posted our pic together with glasses switched... It was the perfect day!

These are all gorgeous. Whenever I say I’m tired of BdG a new version comes that blows me away... I love your en Desordre especially and also your Brides Fleuries, which has got to be my fav version of all time, especially in this CW. So happy to be your twin on that one

All glorious and beautifully styled, as always! MP is one of those amazing designs that deserves multiples... And your TB collection is sublime

Thank you for the wonderful intro, dear Bunny, and for getting started one more year! Such beauties here, but I especially love how you are wearing the green Brazil with the black jacket, and the CW of the Brazil maxi twilly is fantastic!

Both awesome... and that red CW is my fav!

Ooooh, all breathtaking! Owning any CW of TB in CSGM is one of my goals... an amazing design in this format that you wear majestically!

I agree that my fav is the moussie changeant, but the maxi twilly is also fantastic!

So beautiful!

Oh my heavens! All simply breathtaking! And beautifully styled, as always
Thank you all so very much lolakitten, Langsam, monteverdi, Julide, bunnycat, Cookie, papertiger & fifi!

Wow. You have them all! Although I think I have the one you are missing — the cotton one with a charm

That’s a beautiful collection!

woah.

Damn, why have I bought zero red ones!!!!!

I love that intense purple. What a great color.

All so beautiful!

Love that zenobie shawl!

how wonderful to have a meet-up.

Love the pink in this one! Glad you are feeling better.

Beautiful, especially the moussies!

Gorgeous!

So cute - I love the red!

Oh oh - I’m gonna need the fainting couch soon! These are lovely!

Fabulous! And what a pleasure to have met a fellow scarfie!
And thank you for your kind words - let’s make this year equally fun!

Pretty in pink too!

Oh wow that red & white Brazil is :heart::heart:

So pretty!!

These are outstanding! Love!!

I dub thee TohuBohu Queen :queen:
I feel so lucky to be twins on the white cw

I’m a total fan of the perfect matches

Ooooh, so lovely! The lavender cw is so appealing. You wear it well.

A wonderful parade of very special BdeG scarves. I love the twilly colors and am your twin on the yellow 90 cm carré. Mine was purchased used and has very flat hems. Bravo, dear Croisette!

I love this photo!

Thank you xincinsin, it was a happy day and I was celebrating a milestone :)

A nice boutique in Copenhagen, Serva!

Yes Croisette, I was there approximately a week after they opened the boutique. Very Scandinavian decor compared to other stores in Europe and a lovely location.

Thank you everyone for the likes and contributions to this thread. Wishing you all a wonderful scarf year!

Hurrah! A new year! Wishing all of you and your loved ones a safe, happy, healthy and prosperous 2020. Thank heavens for this little internet corner where we can come together and forget the world outside and distract ourselves with our passion!
Thank you to all the scarfmistresses for their hard work last year and making it such great fun. I'm really looking forward to hosting the blue week later on in the year; thanks to Fifi for asking me!

Anyway, moving on to business...
Nice transition: Marine Naive aka Henry F. Smith, CSGM, by Dumas, my scarf of yesterday. I have only the large format, which wonderfully captures the concept of the original “woolies” embroidered by early seamen to keep their fingers nimble for sail mending; but it was also issued in silk twill 90 and a smaller format in cotton, at least, which I think @bunnycat has.
Such a lovely theme to start the year—reminding me of every opportunity to remake and renew one’s vision.

This is even better as a CSGM than silk Jbizzy! What a super find. The fact that it is made of wool ( albeit a slightly more luxurious one than that used by the sailors!!!) makes it even more relevant to the design. Just super.

As always, Croisette, your collection is a shining star ! I particularly love the first CW though, it's so rich and decadent!

Thank you to Team Scarf Mistresses for the great work last year and creating the new and Wonderful theme week list !

I’ve gone a bit overboard on a few designs

Gorgeous lanit! It must be because I'm in the middle of winter that I'm being drawn to all the plummy scarves out there but I am particularly fond of your purple Phoenix. It's wonderful!

Brazil is amazing when worn. Feathers on scarves always look good!!!! Sadly, I don't have one.

My SOTD is actually a twilly, Savana Dance.
View attachment 4631249
I think the original format was the 70 cm that I have unfortunately missed.
This design has also been issued in many other formats such as CSGM, mousseline stole, paréo... and gavroche.
View attachment 4631248
It will come back this upcoming season in a new format, carré wash 140 which looks quite promising.
Very pretty indeed!

All I can say is wow!! You are the go-to for Tohu Bohu, Croisette!!! What a fabulous array.
