My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Thanks so much for this photo, @Serva1 ! What a gorgeous piece. A friend has one in greens that is cotton (something about wartime?). Is yours silk?
EDIT: I just found your posts in the vintage thread. I am even more envious! Then I found the Charles Pittner designs on the Facebook Hermes Scarf page (many more pix than on the HSCI page), and now I am going down a very long rabbit hole. His scarves are amazing and rare! Thank you.
Moma - The vintage thread has slipped by me unnoticed - could you kindly post a link to it, either here or in a PM - it sounds right up my alley - thanks in advance:-)

Such masterful illustrations... These are simply gorgeous!

Just a typical North Texas winter weather week: 70 plus tornado yesterday, snow flurries this morning!
Gotta keep perspective with Le Laboratoire de Temps in 90 twill, 140 CSGM (colorway a lot more vibrant than showing in photo, particularly the reds), and awaiting-soon-to-come (?) giant triangle.

Wonderful, vibrant design and amazing in this CW

Dear scarfies: Where are the ex Librises? The iconic Caleche is missing! Please bring out your shawlsband twills! I no longer have those but I do have these!

Here’s the Ode to EL thread from many moons ago...

Great reminder about the variations on Ex Libris! Those fringed shawls are spectacular... and, amazing ELeK!

Much as I am in awe of your ELeKs, I bow to your ExLibris... and the neutral grey one is wonderful

Gorgeous!

Oh, “only two” but such amazing ones!

All of these pictures are fabulous!! There are many designs which I was not aware of a reissue and cws of designs I have not seen!! Wonderful eye candy!!:flowers:I have to admit I was looking at my newly started database of my scarves. ( A task like no other! I haven’t worn a scarf in weeks! All my time has been spent writing the cw and other codes and snapping pictures:faint:I am exhausted!! ) And found that I am prone to multiple cws in a design but, if it comes in another format I am not likely to purchase it. ELeK and PdS come to mind as they had reissues close together. But if the reissues are in the same format then....:graucho:I do get carried away!:whistle:This is my Tapis collection minus a mousseline I have purchased. Again apologies that I did not retake the picture but I am worn out folding and refolding scarves at this time.:flowers:
I am in awe of your collection of TP... I own one giant silk and am trying to persuade the person that sold it to me to part with another CW... I can understand your obsession... It ties beautifully and is a timeless classic

La Rosee - 2 140cm changeant mousseline and one gav. This really shows how different the changeant can be - the peachy pink is so much more subtle than the dark and stormy one.

Breathtaking! I never tire of saying so every time I see these marvels

Actual SOTD. patchwork Horse CSGM from SS2020 collection.
Bought this yesterday, couldn’t wait to wear it today!
Think this may be unusual because I don’t think it was released as 90. I do know it was released as a CSGM a couple of seasons ago. ( @momasaurus has one from that edition).

What a wonderful choice... It is fantastic! And so versatile!

A few more multiple formats before this week is over.

And the beautiful Parures du Samourais - I have 2 90s, and 2 CSGMs. Reminds me I should wear the 90s more.

90 in a beautiful pastel CW.

CSGM in blue/ grey. I had a hard time choosing between this and the caban/ blue/orange. Ended up with both.

The caban CSGM. I usually avoid orange in scarves, but this was too beautiful to pass up.

Can never get enough of PdS... You chose that glorious CSGM wisely!

Voyage En E’toffes 90 & CSGM
&
Parures Des Maharajas 90 & CSGM

L’Arbre Du Vent 90 & CSGM
&
Le Jardin de la Maharani (90 & Twilly)
How wonderful they all are! I am partial to L’Arbre du Vent... That fuchsia is magnificent! Love it so much that I own it in a 90 and CSGM... Your CSGMs are
showstopping gorgeous

Hello, Scarflandians,
Well, the year certainly got off to an exuberant start! Everyone is posting great shots of their scarves and what great taste you all have! Here is my only Brides de Gala - the En Desordre Multico Fleuri maxi-twilly. I do love this scarf but have not worn it yet. I’m sure I will soon...
Gorgeous!

My Dans un Jardin Anglais (so far!).
I adore this design.

My Twillies, 90 Silks, (the Juane is a bright one!) & 45 Silks

I think a moussie would be divine. AND they should really do a CSGM.
Oh, all so beautiful! This design is on my wishlist and I would love to be twins with you on any of your CWs

Wearing to dinner with friends tonight - Tyger Tyger. I only have this one, but I know it came in a CSGM too!
View attachment 4637431
What a wonderful CW! So perfect for you... Love it with your hair and complexion

Posting my scarfans (scarf orphans) for this week’s theme; I know they have scaled counterparts, I just don’t own them :crybaby:

My vintage Brides de Gala was rescued in rather sad shape. As an experiment I dip-dyed and feel I gave her new life. (I seem to refer to the old gals in the feminine) :girlsigh: The result has a bit of the look of a changeant without the magic.

My twin with @Croisette7 early issue Ex Libris
(I get a silly thrill from these early tags)

The rest are gav’s:
La Rosee - moussie
Clic Clac
Le Mors "A La Conetable”
Les Allure - moussie
Love them all, but especially that vibrant Ex Libris!

More of Alice Shirley....
Zebra Pegasus CSGM and 90 Silk
Tyger Tyger CSGM & 90 Silk

Jaguar Quetzal always makes me smile.

Twillies, 90 Silk & CSGM
I am amazed at your glorious collection!

Two of Alice Shirleys early designs that are marvelous on you!

I passed on both the CSGM versions of Zebra Pegasus due to the hoof always appearing but ended up with the mousse and twill. I passed on TygerTyger because of too many big cat designs that year. So luckly I ended up with Three Graces and maybe ill get to see Mountain Zebra in a new format next season?

View attachment 4637533
All so wonderful... Your Three Graces is breathtaking and that Cw of Maharajah had got to be one of the best... I can’t believe I don’t yet own this design!

I adore cute. And pink. And now have three twillies that were also issued as 90s, two of which I bought not realizing that they were available in a larger format.
Alphabet, Ginza 5-4-1 and Red Berries.
Am I tempted to get the 90 version? Maybe. They would be "less cute"

These are great and so wonderfully tied!

Happy Sunday Scarflandia! I really enjoyed our starter theme for 2020, with our 20/20 vision. It's been great seeing all the fab remakes and format alterations of favorite scarves. Now let's bring on the new theme!

12 Jan 2020 Supple Leather: Leather goods and scarves, wear your scarves with leather or on leather bags

Yes...you knew if there was going to be leather involved, it was going to be my week...

To me, silk and leather are perfect together and a luxurious combination. With over a 150 years of leather working (founded 1837) under their belt (haha), and no one does leather or silk like Hermes so let's enjoy that to the utmost this week. Wear scarves with a leather jacket, shirt, vest or accessories. Put scarves on your bags. Wear scarves that showcase H lather goods. Whatever ways you find to combine the silk and leather idea, let's see it! (PS- pleather works too!)

Great intro, Bunny! Nobody could introduce this week’s theme like you as you always pair leather and silk masterfully.... I especially love your Tyger Tyger CSGM!

Thank you Moma. Enclosed a pic, no holes or threads broken, a little colour runs but that just gives character imo to an 80 yr old
Returning to Paris in a couple of months, didn’t have time to do everything on my list including the vintage scarf shops. The S/S 2020 collection is then in store.
Gaaaah! A treasure

Yahoo, and thanks @bunnycat for the new theme week! I’m a total leather and silk lover! Such contrasting yin yang of soft and edgy right? My contribution today...

Your leather and silk pairings are always the epitome of chic... Love these!

What perfect watch band pairing

I took inspo’ from @xincinsin and repurposed this yet unused Argentinian keyfob as a scarf pendant to compliment my Pampa 90.
Leather is rawhide which the gauchos traditionally use to work into horse tack, etc.
:hs:
My scarf and jewelry-loving heart just gasped... This is fantastic!

Here are my FW 19 scarves modeled with my bags. It took me ages to narrow down my choices. There were too many amazing designs. I am not done yet, but have what I really wanted. After seeing the bags model scarves in the last season, I had to try it myself.:giggle:
Love each one so much!

Fabulous!

Plumes is so amazing! I am your close cousin on this beauty

I have few more pictures of my bags with scarves. I retied the scarf from H and pulled out a GP. My final photo is a “Jackie O inspired” picture. I couldn’t help myself!

Adding; this CW of IP works with many colours! From winter to summer, I think this scarf will be a year round scarf for me!!:flowers:
Fabulous! IP is breathtaking

What pretty bags! And the scarf is eye-popping and fun! What is it?
