My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

All of these are scarves I love to wear at this special time of year...
First of all a winter-themed silk in lovely cool colors: Fleurs d’Hiver

The most festive shawl I own is The Savana Dance in this CW
View attachment 4936070

I’ve worn this CW of Tapis Persans both for a winter family wedding with a red jacket, and below for a winter concert last year. The touches of red make it perfect for Christmas events and the holidays

The arctic graphics of La Vie du Grand Noare perfect for wintertime

I own Two CWs of Jeux de Paille: a delicate pink that I love to wear in springtime and this red that I find perfect for Christmas
View attachment 4936071

And, couple of accessories I wear during the holidays...
My Vatican Collection Madonna and Child pin

And, this vintage Weiss brooch and earrings remind me of the Christmas Star, which we actually witnessed last in that rare conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter that took place on the Winter Solstice

That broach is spectacular. The Fleurs d’Hiver is so lovely the way you have it tied.

oh my goodness... I just had a mad case of the giggles (I know you're all surprised :giggle:)
When the boys were little we had a Disney Christmas album (yes LP); one of the songs was The Twelve Days of Christmas.
But in this version, Goofy () sings:
'FIVE ONION RINGS'. (instead of 5 Golden Rings)

Guess what I hear, every single time I hear that song? FIVE ONION RINGS!

with ketchup please.
mmmmm, onion rings ..... YES, with ketchup! You must be from the midwest :)

Back in the office this week. Monday I wore the bright and cheery Wild Singapore in a festive red.

Tuesday, I went wild with pattern. Trophees de Venise in a gold CW and a paisley shirt.

Beautiful WS! Trophees de Venice in gold is really lovely!

I know it is only three french horns in the Twelve Days of Christmas, but my Sonneurs de Trompe makes me think of the song.View attachment 4935648View attachment 4935649View attachment 4935654
This is a perfect pairing of green mixed with gold.
This color definitely says holidays to me!

All so gorgeous and festive. I love your Grand Nord colorway.
Back from a walk in Plumes et Grelots, and some archive shots to show the wonderful bits of acid green. View attachment 4935952View attachment 4935953View attachment 4935954
