My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

I'm gonna have to stretch a little this week for "festive". I tend to go for modern and casual designs so I think a lot of the scarves I classify as "festive" tend to be more traditional and formal.

And Amours fits both of those categories - traditional and "formal" (for me) and one of the few I have left in that kind of category. Consequently, it also does feel a little more festive than some of my others with all the golden bells and cheeky cherubs. (Yes- I just re-dyed my hair and it it very light right now! :woot: )

gorgeous - the whole picture!
(Mr Cookie still fondly remembers the time I ‘frosted’ my hair... my DS1 cried (he was a baby) because I wasn't his mum. I do toy with the idea of being blond tho)
thank you so much!

lovely! And love the jacquard.

very festive!

So pretty on you. Very platinum currently!
Thank you so much!
No Christmas scarves for me, but here I am on my Christmas card. BDG Shadow in all of her glory!
❤️❤️❤️

Hello my scarfie friends!

Here is your requested early present for 2021! Enjoy the browsing!

It will reopen in January when we start the first theme. We're almost done with 2020! (And good riddance!)
What a fabulous Christmas scarfie prezzie... 2021 promises to be a great year!

I'd like to wish all scarifies a very happy, peaceful, and above all healthy Holliday and New Year :king: :kitty:

Unfortunately, I am separated from my seasonally appropriate scarves (and most Christmas decorations).

Plumes en Fete with fur and an elf hat on the beach will have to do

Being at the Beach is a pretty fair trade off to seasonal scarf access.
Have a joyous holiday season:heart:

Today, a few silks, NONE of which are specifically winter or holiday-themed, yet are perfect to wear at this time of year...
I shared this beauty last week and show it again this week as it has the Advent colors of purple and pink and it’s so lively, cheerful and festive with all of the decorated beads reminiscent of Christmas ornaments: Dancing Pearls

An Instagrammer recently posted her L’Arbre de Vie in a similar CW to mine and mentioned that she always wore it during the Christmas holidays as the leaves on the design reminded her of Christmas tree ornaments... Now, I can’t un-see that... Last Friday I draped it on a bias over my shoulders with one of my Vrba pins, but didn’t take pics as the design didn’t show up too well...Here are pics to show the design better...View attachment 4934960

This was the Vrba brooch I wore with L’Arbre de Vie... Gotta admit that the pin upstaged the shawl

You look radiant! That hair color looks fabulous on you... as does the lipstick and scarf! Yes, I agree that Amours is so festive!
