My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Here are scarves from yesterday and today...One you can guess if you know my scarf collection, and the other I think even with the generous sample pic, will be a hard one. @scarf1 MIGHT know it....I think she may have one....

Hint- both are cotton or cotton/silk

Good luck!

I know the first! Filigrane!
The second is... I think Fantaisies Indiennes?

Happy to be your twin on this spectacular CW... Looks fab on you and goes with everything! I especially love the creamy corners
What a beautiful post! This scarf was made for you! And, I absolutely love these colors on you! What a wonderful choice to wear the navy top and red coat with this scarf... and the amazing pendant! Perfection
Wonderful! Such a special design
Love this classic beauty with your pearls

Thank you for the lovely, lovely comments, Fifi! I love how you upgraded my red hoodie to a red coat.

An amazing multi-day sleuthing expedition, Redbird, with such interesting historical information, as well as your great appreciation for aviation and the significant beauty of this design. I’ve enjoyed it immensely. :hugs:
I do not know which specific design this is, but I’m guessing it’s an Alice Shirley?

Thank you, Karenska. Yes, of course it is Alice Shirley.

Fabulous post!! I love your knowledge of aviation! ( I am combining your previous posts together with this one. I am so far behind...) I remember in school we went over the engineering marvel that is the Concorde. Especially when you think of all the calculations that were done without computers or other advancements we have today. I wish I would have flown the Concorde before it was decommissioned.
As to your SOTD; Jaguar quetzal!! Is my guess:flowers:

Thank you, Julide. Glad you are enjoying the aviation posts. Jaguar Quetzal is correct!

Redbird - I would vote this as one of the best posts of the year - absolutely flabbergasted at the amount of study you've put into this! What a wealth of information! Astonishing!

I'm guessing your scarf is an Alice Shirley, but I'm not sure which one!

I'm honored to receive your vote for one of the best posts of the year. Yes to the Alice Shirley. Her butterflies are so distinctive.

I'd say Jaguar Quetzal.

Absolutely correct.

You are definitely the best person to own RdE... Outstanding post! All so fascinating! And, One of my fav details from Jaguar Quetzal

Thank you, Fifi!!

Great posts RBH, thank you for all your work!
I guess Jaguar Quetzal?

You are welcome, and yes to JQ.

So intersting, Madame Pilot! I know some of the depicted and so nicely of you presented people , but others are new to me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

A lot of these names were new to me as well. I have thoroughly enjoyed researching this amazing scarf.

Finally, my SOTD. Thank you all.

Filigrane it is! (I requested an emergency withdrawal from MrBcat's "Scarf Gift Vault" )

The *subject* on the second one is definitely Indian Textiles. I think even with a full mod shot, this one is hard. You'd know it flat for sure....(extra hint- Caty Latham, and has the word "quilt" in it)

I know this one! Ex Libris en Cravates - I love this one on you! You said you bought it because it was your team's colors!

Yes - right in the fold! I think this was the first time I've seen it and I wear this scarf quite a bit!
Ha! Great memory... but actually the one with my team’s colors IS my Ex Libris en Cravates... You are very close though as this one is also an Ex Libris

emergency withdrawal from MrBcat's "Scarf Gift Vault"

Clearly a magical place. Can you tell us how it operates?
