My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Here's another pic of the JL R in black/white if you need more pics. I tried it on over the weekend. I just wear too much black already and they didn't have the green and blue one I wanted to try on. But I really love this CW, just not on me....

Thank you, bunnycat, it’s a truly beautiful cw. It may have not been your color choice, but it looks lovely on you.

Gorgeous!
(officially jelly!)
Thank you!! You would look great in one, too! Just sayin’... :graucho:

Love your newest addition! So gorgeous!
Thank you! There is no high like an H high!

Congrats on your new Sieste and your matching blue hair, Joanna!
Thank you, dear Croisette! I love your delicate pink cw, too - that one never made it into my store (at least I don’t think). I would’ve loved to have tried it on. You just couldn’t go wrong with any of the cws!

you are so proving what I discussed with the SA Saturday—the shades in this “neutral” shift to pick up / reflect tones from the underlying color of outfit.
I totally agree! It’s very interesting - I wouldn’t have looked at that cw normally but Fifi’s photos were so convincingly gorgeous, I had to try it on to see for myself!

These colours are perfect on you Joanna. They truly make you glow!!
Awww, thank you, dear!

The Sieste in that blue is just stunning on you! Sieste was the (first) scarf I broke my no duplicates rule on. And if I were going to take the plunge on a 140 silk, it would be that one!
Ooh, yes, please do - the giant silk is a fabulous format!! And which cws do you have in the 90s? I think Aline Honore is the artist I have the most multiples of, and I know many others feel the same, so we’re in good company!

I love this on you. I have a different CW of SaP in 140 silk and it's one of my all-time faves. I was discussing with Fifi recently just how well this translated to the larger format. You will get so much wear from this I am sure!
Pautinka, I loooooove your cw so much - it would’ve been my cw of choice had I not owned the hot pink 90 and had my store gotten one so I could try it on. If they had, I’m not sure I could’ve resisted it! But the blue filled a hole in my collection and I felt the need to broaden my color palette of primarily purples and pinks. And the high contrast of the white on the trees was so insanely beautiful. The only reservation was the red - I thought the red on the shells was too bricky at first. I’ve since attributed that opinion to temporary insanity. And you’re so right, the design translates so well in scale on the large format.

Oh no......I thought I was done with last season.........this one can be worn with just about everything.
I know!! It was the first time I actually experienced the magic of neutrals! Usually neutrals wash me out but there’s something about all the gradations of grey that make this one special.

I have Fouets Et Badines in both a 90 Silk and Cashmere/Silk Losange.
Omg, your losanges are fabulous!!! I need to pay more attention to them.

All ab’ fab’, but what I like best is your matching hair & scarf; that’s some next level stuff!
(I’m still on Level1 -trying to coordinate lipstick
Hahaha, thanks! It’s actually easy to do at home (though I do get the highlights bleached at the salon). The hardest part is mixing the colors and getting what you wanted! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve colored it and waited for it all to dry so I can see if it was the color I was aiming for.

Ooooh, it was made for you! So glad you added this stunning silk to your collection... I am happy to be your twin on all... But wait... I need to see that new hair!
Oh, haha, I realized I’ve cropped all the pics to show off the scarf and am not showing too much hair. I’ll post others so you can see it. It’s not a perfect match but I’m happy with it. Thank you, too, for being such a wonderful enabler!

Just gorgeous! Sets off your top beautifully. My sought-after cw is the rainbow cw.
Thanks! Which rainbow? The bold or pastel? I tried both and actually liked the pastel for me but the bold one is wonderful, too. That contrasting cobalt hem is awesome.

Oh and to remain in theme, I do have Jungle Love in a CSGM:

One of my favorite Hermès designs of all time is Sieste au Paradis. I own three CWs in the 90 format and 2 in the giant summer silk

Oh my! It is gorgeous! I fell in love with this design in the giant silk, but it is divine in this format!

My favorite design as well. You wear it beautifully! I so regret missing it in CSGM format, but I wasn’t into shawls when it came out... I would absolutely love a giant silk edition!

What a wonderful picture... So elegant and striking!
Thank you Fifi, I confess I prefer TP in mousseline and yes PdS is gorgeous and I need to be a little samurai at my work too so it’s a powerscarf for me, yet feminine because of the colours and tassels :)

Such a pleasure to meet you, and in the perfect setting for us vintage jewelry and scarf fanatics. And, I told you that black backdrop would work out great!

Oh, I am shrinking as well... Have already shrunk 2 inches! So, you will always tower over me, no matter what!

So wonderful on you!

Fabulous! I finally got my hands on one a couple of months ago... Such a spectacular design!

Beautiful both colorful and monochromatic

So glad you got this! It’s such an amazing design and this version ties so beautifully! Wonderful choice... Congrats!

Love how you’ve styled it!

Haha! I was waiting to see MP from you! These are such beauties, though... I also can’t wait for the new double-sided version!

OMG the colors on the dip-dye! Glorious! And, you know how I feel about the black/grey... It is outstanding!

Love them all, but especially the colors of the gavroche!

It truly is... and the bias fold works beautifully for this design. What a fantastic neutral it is!

I love it on you... and, you’ve inspired me to wear it with pink... Looks unexpectedly fantastic!

Ooooh, it was made for you! So glad you added this stunning silk to your collection... I am happy to be your twin on all... But wait... I need to see that new hair!

This is such an amazing design. I adore it and all because of that striking border. I also chose green for my 90... Love the losange!
Thank you Fifi! Yes, please message me!

Fantabulous! You really do look great in the 140s. They are much easier to handle than many people think - especially the summer twill which packs right down to as small as you want it to be. SaP is a design where you could easily buy every single CW as each one looks so different and has a vibe of its own.

Hello scarfies !
Sotd today : jardin à Sintra worn as a top
Not on theme (i think it only exists in 90?)
Have a great day everyone !
Wow! That’s gorgeous!
Going lah-di-dah today with my Pivoines tied cravate-style to show off my favourite corner. It looked lovely until I went outside and the wind blew it into my face!!
The story of my life - I hope you didn’t get lipstick on it!
That’s my favorite corner of the scarf too!

Interesting hue-shifting neutral==at least on my monitor, the darkest band of “black” in the scarf looks more deep bluish against your black&turquoise outfit. I didn’t pick up on that in the store.

Inspired pose with the JL CSGM—eye-locking with the big cat.

Aww- thank you! I know that CW is the most popular, and it is fab, and it was the last one in the store. They dug around for it and I know that will make someone out there very very happy when they find it!

Thank you!! You would look great in one, too! Just sayin’... :graucho:

The pastel is calling! I like the bright rainbow- but the pastel calls me more for you (and me...)! Love your JL. So jelly! I had a chance at one earlier and blew it. One day....I'll keep waiting....

Going lah-di-dah today with my Pivoines tied cravate-style to show off my favourite corner. It looked lovely until I went outside and the wind blew it into my face!!

Gorgeous! (And yeah- that why I wouldn't do that....It would be in my face in under 5 minutes....)
