Ha! I can't think of a better way to spend some time!
The knot is easy - it's an asymmetrical fold, put around your neck, take one end and bring it over to the other side and tie a small knot.

Wow, so beautiful! Gads, look at all those edges. I spend half my life fluffing and twisting and turning and stuffing my poor, confused scarves around my neck trying to hide their edges. You all are so carefree, you just tie those dang things and off you go. What do you do with all that extra time? Where did I get this idea that I have to hide the edges? It’s not like anyone ever said, “...AND, when you tie the scarf, Be Absolutely Sure You Hide All The Edges.” Clearly I need to relax.
