Playtime in other countries today. My SOTD is the delightful wonderland of Russian toys Zabavushka. First outing although I bought this years ago. Also first attempt at the Octopus knot

In the middle of the scarf is a toy soldier. He reminds me of the tale of the Steadfast Tin Soldier who is set adrift in a paper origami boat. Origami can be used to make pretty toys. Some of them are very ingenious "action toys". Try folding a pecking chicken! My origami scarves: Cocottes de Soie and Metamophose d'Une Carre.

Meanwhile, over in China, a deadly guessing game plays out in Turandot. The princes who fail to answer three questions forfeit their lives :hrmm:

In Japan, the exquisite decorative temari balls were once made of scrap cloth and used in handball games.

I used to play pick-up-sticks with a handful of brightly coloured plastic sticks. H has a luxe equestrian-themed version made from sycamore wood and elegantly painted to mimic showjumping poles. The sticks appear on the glass table in Faites vos Jeux and in this cute small cashmere scarf Mikado.

Gorgeous!

So glad you took the leap to selfiedom! Lovely color on that PduV!
Thank you, bunnycat. It is really beautiful with colors of raspberry, gold, cream, mauvy-pink, and red (which picked up the red in my Lauren bucket bag).
Wow - such a wonderful colour - only got a couple of plisses, and two of them are double plisses, so can hardly see the patterns - this one is unique:smile:
Thank you, Eliwon. I love my plisses best of all - they are so easy to enjoy and tie.

The Maxi Twilly Cut format has been discontinued, but previous season models are still available in stores and online (and of course second hand). Whenever I post pics of mine I get asked if I like them and find them easy to wear. The answers are yes and yes  To illustrate, here are 5 different knots using my Camails MT Cut. The MT Cuts often featured different patterns either on one side, or on one tail. This adds to the versatility of the scarf as you can choose to highlight or hide that second pattern.

The 5 knots are:
1) Simply the two ends slipped through a trio ring
2) Infinity knot looped twice around the neck
3) Loop, highlighting patterned tail
4) Loop highlighting the other tail
5) MaiTai's weave knot
Gorgeous.

Kids all over the world like balloons and stuffed toys.
SOTD in the morning: India-themed Colour Masala
The guy with the toy elephant reminds me of the first Robin Dick Grayson who, in canon, had a stuffed toy elephant named Zitka. And the other guy with the skateboard? H has a fondness for skateboards. There's a baby with balloons and a bunny. And a clown juggling.

SOTD after lunch was the properly Western Jardin Enchante. The kids in the park are playing with hoops, hobby horse, scooter and chasing butterflies. And of course there are balloons and juggling clowns.

Archive picture as I am way off topic today in another designer’s scarf - traveling tonight and will be MIA for a few days - but I’ll be watching and hitting the like button!
ttfn!
Yay! I was hoping you'd show bubbles!
Now I'm waiting for chess scarves. Anyone has the checkmate scarf Echec au Roi?
